Pop star's fans devastated as she cancels tour just 2 weeks after announcement
The Sweet but Psycho hitmaker recently announced that she would be bringing her Don't Click Play tour to the UK, North America and Europe in support of her forthcoming album of the same name, slated for release on August 22.
However, she has now devastated fans after scrapping the dates for her gigs – but emphasised it was because she felt it was not up to her standards.
Ava wrote to her 3.3million followers on Instagram overnight: 'Pushing back my tour is [the] most difficult decision I've had to make, but when I perform for you, it has to be of a standard that I'm happy with, and it's just not there yet.'
'Being on stage is my favourite thing in the world. In order to put on a show that you all deserve, I need more time,' the 31-year-old singer continued.
'I promise you all it will be worth the wait. I love you all and can't wait to see you. SOON, I PROMISE.'
'Why is the tour cancelled???? I'm really disappointed!!!!!' fan Jakub commented on a recent post ahead of Ava's story, while @kimmyangel88 responded: 'That's such a shame. Was really looking forward to seeing her.'
Fan Saul Arvizu wrote: 'Would be cool if you had a post or reel about the tour cancellation. Like, we get a cancellation but don't let us hear it from Ticketmaster. Your fans bought your tickets. And letting us find out this way is not cool.'
Posters promoting the tour and its dates have been wiped from Ava's account while Ticketmaster's website now shows the dates as being cancelled.
'You need more time for a better performance ? I'm sorry but this is a bit [of] a strange excuse!!' chimed in Urs Kumli.
'So saddened by the news :(💔 I was gonna spend my 25th birthday with you in Belgium,' replied Bryan Moertabat.

However, other fans were supportive of the abrupt cancellation, with @vesi4a posting: 'We bought tickets, my daughter will be disappointed but we will wait! The whole fam loves you Ava.'

Chart-topper Ava's tour had been due to start in Los Angeles on September 3 and would've seen her play throughout North America before performing 15 shows across the UK and Europe, including a concert at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on October 25, before a scheduled culmination in November.

The star, who also had a hit with single Kings & Queens, previously explained that she often feels 'more comfortable' being on the road touring but always has to make some time for herself before taking to the stage.
Ava told The Kelly Clarkson Show: 'I did all kinds of shows in the US and it was so cool just doing night after night. It is weird. In the pandemic, I was stuck at home and I was like, 'How am I going to connect?'
She added: 'I always have Ava time carved out on my schedule right before I perform. So everyone is putting my wires on, my mic pack and everything and then I have 15 minutes to myself where I meditate and close my eyes so I can remember my name and what I'm singing.
'I really thrive through the chaos, I love it, so I'm actually more comfortable on tour [than at home] lately – but I still need my Ava time carved in.'

The Irish-American boozer has said the 'Downtown' area will double the size of the business with the area being inspired by the Irish pubs of Donegal as well as the bar culture of Boston and New York. Yungblud goes shirtless while unwinding in a trucker cap during beach holiday as rocker celebrates his 28th birthday - after paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne
Yungblud took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an array of holiday snaps as he celebrated his 28th birthday. In one photo, the English rocker, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, sported a Chrome Hearts camouflage trucker cap emblazoned with the words 'Chrome Hearts f**k Hollywood', as he appeared to relax on a boat out at sea. In another snap posted to his Instagram Story, the singer posed shirtless in just a pair of black swimming shorts, drink in hand, as he let his hair down on the beach. He captioned the birthday post: 'Made it through 27. thank f**k. here's to 28. love you all. i will forever.' The birthday snaps come after Yungblud shared a picture of the gift Ozzy Osbourne gave him before he died, hours after he gave a reading at the funeral at his home in Buckinghamshire. The singer had a very strong relationship with Ozzy, whom he first met in 2022, and it appeared that their relationship grew into an almost father-son type bond. Yungblud reportedly gave a touching reading at The Black Sabbath frontman's funeral last week, after his death aged 76 on July 22. Following the emotional day, the 28-year-old took to Instagram to share a close-up snap of the cross necklace Ozzy gifted him in 2022, during the filming of his The Funeral music video.
