Cong prepares for Rahul's yatra, evades question on oppn CM face
RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is also scheduled to join the yatra, even as the Congress functionaries were not yet ready to name him the opposition CM face in the coming Bihar assembly elections.
After the review meeting attended by the Congress MPs and MLAs, and addressed by national general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal, in charge of the party in Bihar, Krishna Allavaru, said the people of the state and elected MLAs will decide the CM face of the INDI Alliance.
Asked about Yadav as the CM face, Allavaru said, "Ask this question to the people of Bihar. They will answer you who will be the next chief minister of Bihar."
Venugopal said the special intensive revision of the Bihar electoral rolls is anti-democratic. "The opposition will demonstrate its unity against the Election Commission move through this yatra, which not only Rahul, but leader of opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi and others will join," he said.
