Bugaboo Butterfly 2 Review
One of the places I see really interesting parenting products is social media (ESPECIALLY TikTok). And, thanks to ~algorithms~ the viral and highly beloved Bugaboo Butterfly stroller came up in my feed. So when I learned about the brand NEW, Bugaboo Butterfly 2, which just dropped June 3, I jumped at the opportunity to try one out!
Note: I was sent the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 free to try out for editorial review, but was under no obligation to give a positive review. These are 100% my honest thoughts.
So, the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 (which retails for $599.00) is a travel stroller, meaning it's designed to be lightweight, easy to carry, and something you can fold up in, like, one-second and with one hand. Obviously, there are many travel strollers out there, but the Bugaboo Butterfly (both the original and this new version) is considered top-of-the-line, hence the higher price range. And it comes up A LOT on social media and even Reddit.
For a breakdown, here are some of the highlights of the Butterfly 2 compared to the original:
And after "road testing" the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 for a couple of weeks — through the neighborhood, parks, malls, and even North America's largest IKEA — here's what I thought:
I'm OBSESSED with how small and lightweight it is.
For the last year-ish, I've been using a much larger "regular" stroller — which has been great for transporting our baby when he was younger in his infant car seat, which easily snapped into the large stroller, as well as being able to haul ALL the things needed for an infant — but I'd be lying if I said it was easy to use. Like, the thing is big and heavy. So, being able to use a travel stroller without the struggle I normally go through with my "regular" one felt incredible LOL.
I looooove being able to open and close it with one hand.
As I mentioned above, our previous stroller was large and you cannot close it with one hand. It seems like a small thing, but being able to hold your child (or for demonstration purposes with a pillow of my cat as in the GIF above) while simultaneously opening and/or closing a stroller is, like, huge. Love how easy it is with this.
It's really compact — did I mention how much I love how small the stroller is?!?
For comparison's sake, above is a photo of our regular stroller in my car's trunk vs. the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 (diaper bag for scale). It's like night and day. Being able to have more room for groceries and just STUFF is major. Another win. Also, in case you are wondering, the Butterfly strollers are IATA-compatible and designed to be TSA-approved, meaning they can be stored in the overhead compartment of an airplane when folded. (I haven't had the chance to try this out yet, but this was another MAJOR plus to me!)
The nearly-full recline is very handy.
Apparently, the first version of the Bugaboo Butterfly did not recline as far as this one. Our regular stroller has a full recline, which was handy for when our baby was younger and slept all the time since newborns need to sleep in a flat position. I've also always found the full recline feature helpful for changing diapers when a changing station (or even a clean one) isn't nearby. And while this stroller doesn't have a full recline, it gets pretty close, and it was enough for us to do a couple of diaper changes!
It's a super smooth ride.
Our regular stroller has much larger, air-filled wheels, so it's a VERY smooth ride. And, TBH, I was a little suspicious if the Butterfly 2, with its smaller, hard wheels, would be as smooth. But, to my surprise, it was?! Admittedly, I didn't exactly "off-road" with this stroller, but even on pavement and a few different terrains, the stroller moved really smoothly and had some good shock absorption. As I said, I tested this baby out in North America's largest IKEA (in Burbank, CA) — which, if you've been to an IKEA, you know how busy it can get — and I was able to maneuver between small aisles and meandering people with more ease than the regular stroller.
It can actually fit a decent amount of stuff even though the storage space in the under-carriage is significantly smaller than our "regular" stroller.
I was pretty impressed at how much I could fit in the bottom of the stroller. Now, admittedly, if we were going to be out for a long day or in a situation where we needed to carry a full diaper bag, toys, food, etc., then it would be a struggle to make it all fit underneath. But for purposes of popping out to a grocery store, or just going for a walk, etc. this worked great.
Other cool features I liked: The pocket in the back and the peep window on the sun shade.
From what I'm told, these are small changes/additions to the Butterfly 2, and I think they're great additions. The pocket in the back came in handy a number of times while out and about — I used it for my son's hat, some sunscreen, and toys — and the peep window in the sun shade above is always nice to have to check on your child while out for a walk. For example, I like checking if he is pulling his sun hat off for the 50th time (the answer is usually yes!).
A couple of things I think could be improved: adding a handlebar height adjustment and more padding for the handlebar.
A big advantage of our regular stroller vs. this travel one is that you can adjust the height of the handlebar. For someone short (I am 5'2"!) who has a taller husband, this is an important feature to have. I'm guessing in order to keep the Butterfly 2 as lightweight and compact as possible, this wasn't an option. I also found that the handlebar of the Butterfly 2, compared to our regular stroller, was not as comfortable over a longer period of time. I found that my hands started to cramp up a little (although my husband didn't have this issue, go figure), so maybe thicker padding on the grip would help. It might be nice to see these features fine-tuned if they do a Butterfly 3 in the future!
TL; DR — I LOVED the Bugaboo Butterfly 2 stroller. In fact, it's now become my go-to stroller over our regular one because of its easy-to-use features. So, if you've been considering getting one or you're in the market for a travel stroller, 10/10 would recommend!

15 Shower Products To Add To Your Cart
An EcoTools dry brush for some pre-shower physical exfoliation. Brushing your skin might sound uncomfy, but it actually feels super soothing — it's like the relief you get from gently scratching an itch, but *all over* your body. And if you're the kind of person who needs to see a product working to believe it, you're going to love this thing. First-time dry brushers, prepare to see *clouds* of dead skin dust in the air. Some kojic acid and turmeric soap that you've definitely seen on your FYP if you've been on TikTok in the last year. The stars of the show, kojic acid and turmeric, can help even out skin tone and treat hyperpigmentation like dark underarms and elbows — and it's packed with moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and vitamin E. Using this soap is basically like serving your skin its very own Michelin star dish. Some Tree Hut sugar scrub to turn your "everything shower" into a full-on spa day. If you want to step out of the shower feeling like a baby dolphin who asked a witch to become human for just one day (yep, you'll be that smooth)...start lathering this on right now. Plus, reviewers who use sunless tanning products are saying that this scrub is great for both pre-tan prep and post-tan removal. An African exfoliating net that I'm kind of starstruck over seeing as it's literally *the biggest* celebrity on TikTok right now. African net sponges completely dry out, so they don't hold onto bacteria the same way that a loofah would. Plus, these expand so you can actually scrub your entire back on your own. Some Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream with a quick-absorbing blend of oils and caffeinated guarana extract that'll lock in all that moisture from your two-hour bath-time extravaganza. smells SO good. Like, so good you might find yourself in the mirror repeating affirmations like "I will not eat the Bum Bum Cream." A First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser scrub that'll soften the look and feel of rough, bumpy patches with glycolic and lactic acids. Also, let's all exhale a big sigh of relief, because the "grit" in this scrub is from pumice buffing beads — not microplastics. An 18-in-1 liquid castile soap by Dr. Bronner's, and no, you didn't misread that — I actually said 18-in-1. Its famous text-packed bottle will tell you *everything* you can use this magic soap for, but I'll give you a shower-centric rundown right now: body wash, shaving, face wash, hand wash, makeup remover, bubble bath, they even claim you can brush your teeth with it. But your mouth will taste like soap, and it doesn't have any I'd probably just do it once to say I did, and then I'd stick with my regular dental care routine. Some influencer-endorsed Eos cashmere shave oil that our readers are loving. Its velvet-like texture is so moisturizing that it makes shaving your pits feel more like a relaxing ride down a lazy river and less like you're navigating wild grasslands with sticky brakes. A Billie starter shave kit, which includes their famous (and, like, really pretty) reusable ergonomic handle, two five-blade refills, and one magnetic holder that you can stick to the shower wall — away from running water and splashes — and never worry about your razor rusting again. Oh, and the "moonbeam" color glows in the dark. So. A pack of Korean exfoliating cloths that'll have you standing in a puddle of wet dead skin flakes upon first use. These 100% rayon scrubbers have been around forever (see this TikToker's skit about explaining these mitts to their confused American friend), but have gained Western popularity over the last few years thanks to the internet. A Korean cleansing balm made with soothing black rice extract that'll remove your makeup gently but effectively, *and* it's sensitive-skin friendly. And while all of that is amazing, it's this product's unique packaging that makes it so cool — you *twist* the container to get the product out, so you never have to dip your fingers into the pot. Yay, less opportunity for bacteria growth! 🤩 A Vaniderm gentle facial cleanser that's great for all skin types, but the *best* for sensitive skin. But y'all, we have to be secretive about this... 🤫 It's only $9, and I've been instructed by many an influencer to keep it quiet so it doesn't sell out. And once you see for yourself how good this is at removing oils without overly drying your skin, you'll understand why everyone is so nervous about it selling out. Some L'Oreal 8 Second Wonder Water to detangle your hair and leave it feeling smooth and silkyyyy. Just apply to your lengths after shampooing, massage it into your strands for eight seconds, and rinse it out! If you really want to enhance your results, L'Oreal recommends blow-drying your hair, too. A Pantene bond repair hair mask that TikToker and trichologist (aka scalp and hair expert) Abbey Yung made me buy, and now I will never be without it. This mask has these really unique melting pearls that, when warmed up in your palm, release a huge dose of hair ✨ magic ✨ (aka vitamins and bond-building lipids). And a bottle of glycolic acid toner from The Ordinary to do way more than just brighten and smooth also kills the bacteria on your skin that makes your B.O. smell like, well, B.O. It's basically a magical stench-slaying goddess, and it'll make an amazing addition to your post-shower routine. Oh, and it's under $15. She's a modest goddess, too.

In 2025, Many Are Realizing Their Parents' Financial Advice Doesn't Fit Anymore. College At Any Cost And Avoiding Stocks? Maybe Not So Smart
Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. For decades, advice like 'just get a degree' or 'buy a house as soon as you can' was seen as a sure path to financial stability. But in 2025, many are rethinking those old lessons. On Reddit's r/Frugal forum, a recent post asking which financial tips from older generations no longer apply sparked hundreds of honest, frustrated, and eye-opening replies. Loyalty Is Dead? Person after person pointed out how outdated the 'just work hard and stay loyal' mindset has become. 'Work hard and your employer will notice and take care of you' simply doesn't hold up today, one person wrote. Another added, 'Loyalty rarely gets rewarded anymore, and switching jobs every few years often leads to better pay and opportunities.' Don't Miss: The same firms that backed Uber, Venmo and eBay are investing in this pre-IPO company disrupting a $1.8T market — 'Scrolling To UBI' — Deloitte's #1 fastest-growing software company allows users to earn money on their phones. One person got the advice to "Work hard and you'll be fine." But they say, 'I'm not fine. And I'm overworked!' The Degree Dilemma 'It doesn't matter what your degree is in, just get a degree and there will be plenty of jobs available when you graduate,' one commenter recalled hearing growing up. But today, many feel that was a setup. 'The Millennial experience was being told we have to go to college; find something you enjoy doing and expect jobs in it; don't worry about loans,' another wrote. 'Then being yelled at when we come out with debt, dumb degrees, and shitty jobs.' Another person said honestly: 'The pamphlet the college gave out said philosophy majors can make six figures!! We're long overdue for a class action on the absolute lies that were sold.' Even science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields, or STEM, long considered safe bets, aren't immune. People noted tech layoffs, unstable biotech sectors and private equity gutting hospitals and clinics. 'Gen Alpha kids are f*****,' one reply concluded. Trending: If there was a new fund backed by Jeff Bezos offering a ? Homeownership No Longer Feels Like A Guarantee Buying a house used to be the gold standard of financial stability. Parents often said things like, 'Decide where you want to work, then buy a house near it,' assuming long-term job security. But that advice doesn't hold up when jobs are unstable and layoffs are common. As one person put it, 'You can't guarantee you'll get a job in the [same part of town where you buy a home]. Not to mention, what happens if/when you get laid off?' Homeownership itself is out of reach for many in the younger generations, even when they finally do own a home. 'My area is notorious for taxing homeowners a lot,' one commenter said, pointing to how repairs, property taxes and surprise expenses can drain savings. Another person shared: 'We are about to pay off our house but the costs to maintain it are nutty... maybe we sell it and pay rent.'The Pension Is Gone, And 401(k)s Aren't Magic One of the original poster's main points was about pensions. 'My dad told me to just get a job with a good pension,' they wrote, noting how rare that is now. Several replies echoed the reality: pensions barely exist outside of government jobs. And even then, they're often not as generous as people assume. Still, some people said the advice wasn't all bad—just outdated. 'Just replace 'get a good job with a good pension' with 'get a job with a good 401(k) match,' and it works,' one commenter suggested. Advice like 'don't spend more than 1/3 of your income on rent' also came up—and was mostly met with eye-rolls. 'It's still good advice,' one person said, 'but whether it's possible is a different matter.' 'Older folks think the best way to get the best deal on a car is to walk in with a sack of cash,' one person said. But in reality, most dealerships these days make their money from financing. Many believe that the economic landscape has shifted too much to make their parents' advice work. Wages haven't kept up with inflation, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and industries that once offered security have become unstable. Case Study: How a Tech Executive Went Dark After a Massive Data Breach
Introduction: When a Data Breach Becomes Personal In the digital age, privacy breaches no longer affect only corporations. They reach deep into the lives of individuals, often with devastating consequences. For one senior technology executive, the 2023 cyberattack on a high-profile Silicon Valley software company didn't just compromise customer data; it destroyed his ability to function publicly, professionally, and financially. Though never accused of wrongdoing, he became the face of an internal systems failure simply because of his managerial proximity to the breached infrastructure. That connection, fueled by public misperception and media speculation, forced a full-scale personal and professional retreat. This case study chronicles the step-by-step strategy developed by Amicus International Consulting to help this executive not only recover from a reputational catastrophe but also to reconstruct his identity, finances, and global mobility legally. His path to anonymity wasn't about disappearing illegally; it was about reclaiming autonomy through lawful, jurisdictional precision. The Fallout: Exposure, Harassment, and Professional Isolation In March 2023, cybercriminals exploited a misconfigured API linked to the company's customer service interface. The attack exposed millions of email records, passwords, and financial information, but also included internal documents, Slack conversations, and personnel records. The breach was headline news within hours. This executive, who managed the integration team responsible for third-party software monitoring, was indirectly associated with the vulnerability. Journalists speculated. Twitter threads implicated him by name. An internal HR memo citing 'leadership restructuring' leaked online and was misinterpreted as a confession of guilt. Within two weeks: His personal home address, phone number, and voter registration were published on Reddit and Telegram He received over 500 emails, many threatening violence His wife's professional reputation was attacked through LinkedIn campaigns Their teenage daughter's school received anonymous calls Former business contacts stopped replying A previously planned startup funding round was withdrawn Credit applications under his name were flagged as high-risk The client faced not only a privacy disaster but a total reputational implosion. For someone whose livelihood depended on trust and discretion, anonymity was no longer a desire; it became a necessity. Engaging Amicus International Consulting: A Four-Tier Strategy Amicus was contacted in April 2023. The initial objective was clear: to develop and execute a legally compliant plan to disappear from the public financial ecosystem, reclaim control over digital presence, and rebuild offshore infrastructure to support a new life abroad. The consulting team designed a four-tier action plan: Legal Identity Assessment and Exit Planning Jurisdictional Repositioning and Second Citizenship Acquisition Financial Firewall and Asset Migration Digital Detox and Controlled Reemergence Tier One: Legal Identity Assessment and Exit Planning Amicus began with a comprehensive legal audit. This involved: Reviewing all existing identification documents Evaluating tax residency risk Determining active exposure via public and private records Examining digital footprints and automated data brokerage inclusion Analyzing immigration, employment, and liability frameworks Key findings included: U.S. passport and California driver's license were linked across 87 online databases Public property ownership data was indexed in Google search Court filings from previous unrelated business disputes were easily accessible online Existing trust and estate planning was based in California, fully traceable Credit reports showed high activity due to attempted identity theft Amicus advised the client to initiate the process of legally changing residential ties, relinquishing local registration status, and restructuring their legal presence through asset detachment and jurisdictional relocation. Tier Two: Jurisdictional Repositioning and Second Citizenship Acquisition With the legal foundation reviewed, the next step was re-establishing global identity through a second citizenship and offshore residence. Amicus presented options in the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Europe. After evaluating cost, neutrality, banking access, and diplomatic weight, the client selected St. Lucia's Citizenship-by-Investment (CBI) program. St. Lucia's process was selected due to: 90-day processing timeline No requirement for in-country presence Inclusion of dependents No global income taxation Simultaneously, the client applied for Panama's Friendly Nations Visa, which offered long-term residence and a pathway to permanent relocation. This created a clear legal separation between the individual and the United States without requiring renunciation. Within 5 months, the client had: A legal second passport A new tax ID in Panama A St. Lucian LLC A Panamanian bank account under foundation ownership Tier Three: Financial Firewall and Asset Migration To protect and legally manage existing assets, Amicus created a layered financial structure built around offshore vehicles and irrevocable trusts. This framework insulated the client's assets from reputational spillover and removed their name from banking and investment visibility. The design included: Belize IBC (International Business Company) to serve as an operational entity to serve as an operational entity Nevis-based LLC to handle intellectual property licensing and consulting revenue to handle intellectual property licensing and consulting revenue Panama Private Interest Foundation to own banking accounts and assets to own banking accounts and assets Liechtenstein family trust for wealth protection and legacy planning for wealth protection and legacy planning Non-U.S. cryptocurrency wallets with jurisdictional separation and multisig features with jurisdictional separation and multisig features Anonymous prepaid debit cards issued by EU fintechs This architecture created a compliance-ready but privacy-anchored portfolio. Income was routed to the Belize IBC, then managed through Panamanian and Liechtenstein accounts. All reporting requirements were met through proper disclosure under international tax treaties—but visibility to credit bureaus and U.S. platforms was severed. Tier Four: Digital Detox and Controlled Reemergence No identity transformation is complete without full control of the digital surface. The Amicus digital privacy team deployed the following: Personal Data Erasure: Filed takedown requests under CCPA, GDPR, and PIPEDA in over 100 jurisdictions, leading to the removal of over 12,000 indexed data points Filed takedown requests under CCPA, GDPR, and PIPEDA in over 100 jurisdictions, leading to the removal of over 12,000 indexed data points Reverse SEO : Aggressively published positive content under a new professional identity to push defamatory content off Google's first three pages Aggressively published positive content under a new professional identity to push defamatory content off Google's first three pages Secure Communications: All email, file sharing, and messaging platforms migrated to zero-knowledge encrypted platforms All email, file sharing, and messaging platforms migrated to zero-knowledge encrypted platforms Social Media Exit: Deletion of existing accounts and recreation of business persona under a new identity in privacy-protected jurisdictions Deletion of existing accounts and recreation of business persona under a new identity in privacy-protected jurisdictions Nominee Communications Proxy: All new client engagement conducted through a Singapore-based agency acting as the forward-facing entity Within 6 months, a search of the client's original name yielded only outdated articles without current relevance. There were no active business listings, no personal data exposures, and no link to any ongoing financial or digital activity. Reemergence: A New Chapter, Fully Legally Separated Armed with new documentation, financial access, and a clean public presence, the client launched a boutique consulting agency targeting fintech startups in Dubai, Singapore, and Malta. The entity was registered in Nevis and managed through encrypted communications with subcontracted consultants. Payments were received in stablecoins, converted into fiat via offshore platforms, and distributed through Panama-based banking structures. Corporate expenses were managed through prepaid business cards that did not tie back to a personal credit score or name. Revenue in Year One post-disappearance reached $1.8 million, fully declared under new jurisdictional tax laws and legally separate from the U.S. financial system. Key Components of the Reinvention Plan Action Tool/Strategy Jurisdiction Second Citizenship CBI Program St. Lucia Residency Relocation Friendly Nations Visa Panama Business Operations Offshore LLCs Nevis, Belize Asset Protection Trust and Foundation Liechtenstein, Panama Financial Tools Prepaid Cards, Offshore Accounts EU, Cyprus Cryptocurrency Security Cold Wallet + Multisig Decentralized Digital Privacy GDPR & CCPA Takedowns Global New Identity Presence Proxy + SEO Singapore, Malta Psychological Outcomes: From Panic to Peace Early in the process, the client suffered from constant anxiety, fear of tracking, and PTSD symptoms from public exposure. Amicus referred them to a trauma-informed therapist experienced in working with whistleblowers, public figures, and tech industry professionals. By Month Nine, the client reported: A 60% reduction in digital stress symptoms Complete restoration of income streams Full control over all financial inflows and outflows A new home in Casco Viejo, Panama Enrollment of their child in a local international school No media inquiries, threats, or digital intrusions in over four months Conclusion: Legal Anonymity Is a Viable Exit Strategy This case proves that legal anonymity, when structured correctly, is not only viable but vital in the post-surveillance era. It offers a lifeline to professionals caught in the crossfire of data breaches, media narratives, or cyber harassment. Amicus International Consulting offers these services not to subvert the law, but to protect individuals who comply with it and still face existential risks. Every layer of this transformation from identity to jurisdiction, banking to communication is structured with legal integrity, technical sophistication, and long-term vision. For this tech executive, the breach was a beginning. It revealed the vulnerabilities of public life and the dangers of centralized exposure. With Amicus's help, he built something far more valuable than reputation; he built resilience. Contact Information Phone: +1 (604) 200-5402 Email: info@ Website: TIME BUSINESS NEWS
