Here's why the Miracle Halo illuminator is shopping writer Lauren's go-to summer product
All my fellow beauty girlies will know the joys of Trinny London, the eponymous brand from makeover queen Trinny Woodall. Known for its clever, stackable pots and ultra-wearable formulas, Trinny London has carved out a loyal following for products that are equal parts practical and glow-inducing.
I've been lucky enough to try a fair few of the brand's cult favourites over the years (for the record, Lash2Brow is my holy grail), so when I heard about the launch of its newest product, Miracle Halo, I was excited to give it a go. The latest drop is a radiance-boosting illuminator designed to provide skin that lit-from-within glow, wearable on its own or easily mixed in with moisturiser and foundation.
Now that summer is in full swing, I avoid foundation as it doesn't hold up when the heat hits. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to sacrifice a flawless complexion, so I'm hoping Miracle Halo could be the lightweight alternative I've been searching for.
Scroll down to see how I fared - and whether this glow-giver has earned a permanent spot in my summer makeup routine.
My honest review of Trinny London's Miracle Halo
Miracle Halo comes in Trinny London's signature sleek silver packaging, giving it a luxe feel that far exceeds its £32 price tag. It looks good sitting on my vanity, which is always a plus.
There are four shades available: Starlight, Candlelight, Sunlight, and Firelight. I opted for the latter, a gentle neutral bronze. Since I regularly wear fake tan, I figured it would give me that post-holiday glow.

However, I'll admit that things didn't get off to the best start. The pump, unfortunately, is a bit of a menace. I was hoping for a controlled dose, but instead, one press dispensed way too much product - more than I'll ever need in one go - which was a massive waste.
I worried I was being too heavy-handed, so I tried again when I needed a subtle highlight to accentuate my cheekbones, but the same thing happened. It's definitely a product where less is more, and the pump didn't seem to have received the memo.
For those who prefer to avoid pump mishaps, I recommend Fenty Beauty's Liquid Killawatt Fluid Freestyle Highlighter (£26). It comes in a squeezable tube, making it a much better option for controlled use. Otherwise, a powder highlighter, such as MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter (£34), is a good alternative.
I also had a moment of panic that Firelight was too dark for my skin tone, even with my tan. But, as with many things in beauty, first impressions can be deceiving.
I decided to mix a couple of small dabs of Miracle Halo into my favourite Laneige moisturiser, and this is where things turned around. The product blended beautifully into my skin; it's incredibly lightweight, to the point where I couldn't even feel it on my face. That's exactly what I want during the warmer months when foundation can feel like a sweat-fest.
The glow it gives is subtle but effective - more of a healthy, sun-kissed boost than a noticeable shimmer, which makes it ideal for no-makeup makeup days. After layering on my usual bronzer, blush and concealer, everything sat perfectly on top. Miracle Halo acted like a glowing base, pulling everything together and giving my skin that elusive 'well-rested look' I'm always chasing.
To finish, I applied a little more highlight to my cheekbones, and it made them pop, giving them a glowy, dewy look. I looked radiant and put-together, without the heavy feel of a full face.
A little really does go a long way with this product, so despite the pump situation, this tube will last me all summer (and then some). Though I'll definitely need to figure out a way to control the pump so I'm not wasting precious drops of glow each time.
Despite the rocky start, Miracle Halo has firmly earned a spot in my summer lineup. If you're after an easy, breathable glow without the weight of foundation, this one's well worth a try.

Lauren Goodger has sparked fresh split fears with her partner Charles Drury after the pair recently reunited, as she shared a string of posts on her social media Lauren Goodger has sparked new split fears with Charles Drury after their recent reunion. Lauren and Charles were together for some time, before splitting up in 2022. The pair share their three-year-old daughter Larose but they split following the heartbreaking loss of their baby daughter, Lorena a few years ago. However, the pair were rumoured to be back on after a double date with her TOWIE co-stars. ‌ A repost of Junaid Ahmed's Instagram story, which was captioned 'Double dating @joeblackman_98 @laurengoodger @ - strongly suggested they were back together. ‌ However, it looks like things may be over again after Lauren shared some cryptic things on her social media. In one post, she wrote: "Love me well or leave me alone," whilst another message read: "The universe will literally sit you down and break you to humble you, then will isolate you. Then give you back everything 10x to prove to you how powerful you are, and that everything is happening for a reason. Trust yourself, the Universe and your path." Just two weeks ago, she shared more about her return to The Only Way Is Essex. She captioned a string of posts: "My first @towie away trip in a very long time. What a roller coaster but an amazing achievement for me personally. Here's to rebuilding me thank you @itvxofficial," with her co-stars rushing to the comment section to wish her well. Lauren has also been open about her breast augmentation journey - and how she now wants her enhancement reduced. "11 years ago I had a breast augmentation, one of the things I regret later in life. I had the perfect boobs .. they have been great over the years but since being a mum and breastfeeding for 1 year they have now changed and I've always found they make me look bigger!" she wrote on her social media as she updated fans. "Also they are heavy and I don't like the idea of an implant being in me all these years and I miss my old boobs so much .. This is a HUGE step for me I've wanted to have them removed for so long but suffering with serve anxiety surgery is the last thing I can do ! So it's early stages but I am bringing you a long with me! I'm terrified but also for health reasons I'm having implants removed and bring back more to my normal self, wanting to reverse everything back to natural."
