Arsenal delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday, postponing Liverpool's potential Premier League title coronation.
Belgian forward Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 14th minute, followed by Gabriel Martinelli doubling their lead in the 28th minute.
Arsenal capitalized on their numerical advantage in the second half, with Trossard netting his second goal in the 69th minute and substitute Ethan Nwaneri adding the fourth two minutes from time in the 88th minute. Despite their dominant performance and fresh off their Champions League quarter-final triumph over Real Madrid, Arsenal could have further increased their lead but for several near misses.
This emphatic win means Liverpool will have to wait to officially clinch their 20th Premier League title. Arsenal now sit 10 points behind the league leaders, who are scheduled to play Leicester City later today.
For Ipswich Town, the defeat leaves them languishing in 18th place with just 21 points. They face a daunting 15-point gap to safety with only five games remaining, making their chances of avoiding relegation increasingly slim.
