
Bahrain Holds Ceremony Marking Laylat Al Qadr and Closing of 29th Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize
Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, organized the annual ceremony marking Laylat Al Qadr and the closing event of the 29th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize. The ceremony, which took place in a vibrant atmosphere, was attended by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the SCIA.
In his address, Shaikh Abdulrahman expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty the King for his unwavering support of the event and the award. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, yesterday visited the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. Strategic energy concession agreement signed between the Ministry of Oil and Environment and Bapco Energies
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of Bapco Energies, witnessed the signing of a strategic energy concession agreement between the Ministry of Oil and Environment and Bapco Energies – the integrated energy group leading the transformation of Bahrain's energy sector – with EOG Resources Bahrain Awali W.L.L, a subsidiary of the United States company EOG Resources specialised in crude oil and natural gas exploration. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs; Mark Thomas, Group CEO of Bapco Energies; a delegation from EOG Resources led by Joseph Korenek, President of EOG Resources International; and a number of officials from both sides.
