USC continues to grow 2026 recruiting class, lands four-star OL Breck Kolojay

USC football already has a loaded recruiting class in place for the 2026 cycle. By no means does that suggest the Trojans are done adding to it. On Friday, USC picked up another big-time commitment, landing four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay. Kolojay is originally from Littleton, Colorado but attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 325 overall player and the No. 21 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026. 'Just the trust I have in the staff and what they are building, and the people they are bringing in, it's all really special,' Kolojay told 247Sports. 'I think all of the people in the building will play a huge part in my success and development. The opportunity to play in Los Angeles, and in the Big Ten, alongside players I haven't played with in a while and guys I'm playing with now, it's an opportunity. I couldn't say no to.' Kolojay is a big get for new USC offensive lineman coach Zach Hanson. The Trojans have struggled with o-line recruiting in particular for the better part of a decade now, but are doing much better at the position with the 2026 class. USC has built up a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail during the offseason. Now it is up to Lincoln Riley and the coaching staff to carry that momentum with them into the field this fall.

Alabama football 2025 season preview, predictions: Geno VanDeMark

Entering the college football season, there might not be a more versatile offensive lineman on the Alabama Crimson Tide's 2025 roster than Geno VanDeMark. A transfer from Michigan State last offseason, VanDeMark burst onto the scene for Alabama a year ago as an instant impact addition, appearing in every game along the Crimson Tide's offensive line at a variety of different positions. Coming off that breakout season, VanDeMark now enters the 2025 campaign among the top options up front for the Crimson Tide once again, and is expected to make a significant impact this fall, similar to a year ago. Here is a look at everything you need to know about Alabama offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark entering the 2025 season. Geno VanDeMark player information Geno VanDeMark career stats An experienced player at the collegiate level, VanDeMark will be entering his fifth season of college football in 2025, three of which came at Michigan State from 2021-23. Across his four previous seasons between Michigan State and Alabama, VanDeMark has appeared in 31 career games, 10 of which he has started. Geno VanDeMark 2024 stats The 2024 season was VanDeMark's first at Alabama, with the offensive lineman appearing in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide. VanDeMark started two games a year ago, one at left-and-right guard. Geno VanDeMark recruiting ranking Coming out of high school, VanDeMark was considered as the nation's No. 428 overall prospect in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 29 interior offensive lineman nationally that cycle. Rated as a three-star prospect, VanDeMark was also considered the No. 8 player in the state of New Jersey that cycle in which he attended St. Joseph Regional High School. Prior to Alabama, VanDeMark was considered as the No. 1,394 overall player in the transfer portal last offseason, per 247Sports, as well as the No. 106 interior offensive lineman. VanDeMark, rated as a three-star prospect as a transfer, also committed to Alabama in May 2024. Geno VanDeMark 2025 season outlook Simply put, VanDeMark will be one of Alabama's most important offensive linemen during the 2025 season. Competing for the starting left guard spot with transfer addition Kam Dewberry, VanDeMark could potentially enter the fall as a starter, but even if that were not to happen, the former Michigan State transfer will still play a major role as a piece that could rotate in-and-out when needed. This could come at left guard, as well as other spots such as right guard and center. However, don't be surprised if VanDeMark begins the season as the starting left guard either, and for the redshirt senior to help strengthen what should be a very good Alabama offensive line. UNC football flips 4-star class of 2026 recruit from SEC program

The Tar Heels earned a major football recruiting victory on Friday afternoon. The North Carolina Tar Heels, exactly a month away from the start of their highly-anticipated 2025 football season, continue to make positive impacts in their 2026 recruiting class. This time, UNC's latest addition involves stealing a talented recruit from a regional SEC program. On Friday afternoon, class of 2026 tight end Carson Sneed flipped his commitment from Tennessee to North Carolina. Sneed's flip now gives the Tar Heels 35 commitments in their next recruiting class, which ranks nationally and continues to grow. The 247Sports Composite rankings tab Sneed, a 4-star recruit, the 13th-ranked player from Tennessee, 18th-ranked tight end overall and 404th player nationally. Sneed is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Dayton, who transferred to North Carolina in April – from the Volunteers. UNC currently lacks a true number one tight end on its roster, but former Texas A&M transfer Jake Johnson is poised to be the top 2025 guy in Chapel Hill. Outside of Johnson, collegiate experience drops off, but Arkansas transfer Shamar Easter was amongst the 2023 recruiting class' top-ranked players. Currently a 2-way player at Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Sneed is coming off a junior season in which he caught 33 passes, adding 409 yards and six touchdowns. On defense, Sneed recorded 44 tackles, 10 TFLs, three sacks and an interception. With Bill Belichick now leading the Tar Heels, recruits want to play in Chapel Hill.
