Notre Dame offers new players in the 2027 and 2028 class following Mondays camp

It is a big recruiting weekend for Notre Dame football, as they hosted multiple camps, but the excitement didn't stop as the week turned over. On Monday afternoon following another camp, the Irish sent out four news offers, to prospects across different classes. It's that time of year, when it's much easier to evaluate players when they are on campus, and it's clear that Notre Dame saw enough out of the quartet. (Note: All rankings are according to the 247Sports Composite.) Tight end Korz Loken The 6-foot, 5-inch and 220-pounder is one of the nation's best, ranking as the No. 125 overall prospect in the 2027 class. The Wisconsin native has had a good spring with offers from Auburn, Florida State and others, but it will be hard to hold off the in-state Badgers. Linebacker Mikahi Allen The 4-star New Jersey linebacker fits the mold of what Notre Dame is looking for at 6-foot, 2-inches and 215-pounds. He's ranked as the No. 245 overall prospect of the 2027 cycle, and has a solid offer list that included Michigan, Penn State, and Florida State. The Irish have had good success recruiting Allen's home state, and hope that that continues. Edge Darieon Prescott A very projectable frame at 6-foot, 6-inches and 220-pounds, Prescott is yet another player from Notre Dame neighboring state of Illinois to earn an offer. Many of them have found success in South Bend, and he could be another. Prescott does have an offer from Tennessee, but this one from the Irish should stand out at this early junction. He's not currently ranked in the 2028 class. Athlete Kameron McGee The 2028 athlete is one of the nation's best players, even though he's not ranked at the moment. With over 25 offers, the 6-foot, 3-inch and 234-pound McGee most likely will be able to go anywhere he desires. This recruitment will be tough, but the Irish had good luck with Illinois prospects. What it means Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman greets his players during a Notre Dame football spring practice at Irish Athletic Center on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in South Bend. It's pretty simple, you camp at Notre Dame, it significantly increases your chances for an offer. This system has worked well for the Irish, and it could play dividends with some of these most recent scholarships. Head coach Marcus Freeman has his hand in this as well, as he's been seen at many of these events. With 16 commitments in the 2026 class, it makes perfect sense to look ahead with these new offers. Recapping offers, happenings at Notre Dame's Irish Invasion camp

It was a big day for Notre Dame football, as they welcomed in multiple top-end prospects for its Irish Invasion camp. Earlier in the day, it was Texas running back Wayne Shanks Jr. earning an offer, but that wasn't the only one send out following the event. Multiple more players were given scholarships by Notre Dame, and a good part of that was due to the boss, head coach Marcus Freeman being there. Advertisement That's what separates this era of Irish football from others, the fact that this coaching staff is all-in on the program, and it has shown on the recruiting trail. It wasn't just them either, star running back Jeremiyah Love made an appearance as well. Find out below all the other prospects to earn an offer from Notre Dame during Irish Invasion. (Note: All recruits rankings are from the 247Sports Composite.) 2028 Linebacker Tahj Gray The 6-foot, 2-inch and 200-pound New Jersey native must have shown out during the camp, as the Irish are one of the first major schools to send out an offer after Ohio State and Penn State to the currently unranked prospect. Gray has the perfect size for a middle linebacker, and would look great in the Blue and Gold. 2028 Edge Jackson Vaughn Bergen Catholic has been good to Notre Dame, even though one of its former stars in Steve Angeli is no longer with the program. That didn't matter with the offer out to Vaughn, a 6-foot, 3-inch and 220-pound pass rusher. While he's not ranked at the moment, he has over 30-offers as he heads into his sophomore year. 2028 Cornerback Phoenix Evans Another New Jersey prospect getting an Irish offer, Evans is a bit on the smaller side at 5-foot, 9-inches and 160-pounds. That didn't seem to matter after his performance on Friday, showing that his size isn't going to stop him from being a high-level player. Evans also is unranked, but has over 25-offers, and should be soon. 2028 Defensive end Asher Ghioto Notre Dame has put extra focus on Florida prospects, and Ghioto is the latest from the state to earn an offer. At 6-foot, 5-inches and 240-pounds, he's got a very projectable body that could fill out even more by the time he arrives at a college campus. It's going to be tough to get him to leave his home state, but the Irish have shown that isn't an issue for them. 2027 Edge Chaz Gray It was a big day for New Jersey prospects, as Gray was added to the list that Notre Dame offered. At 6-foot, 4-inches and 225-pounds, he's the long, athletic and fast prospect that the Irish look for in an edge rusher. Gray is ranked as the No. 401 overall player in his class. 2028 Linebacker Allen Kennett Unranked at the moment, the 6-foot, 1-inch and 215-pound Californian did what he needed to earn a Notre Dame offer. He's a bit of unknown at the moment, but don't let that fool you. If Kennett is good enough to earn a scholarship, then he can play at this level. Notre Dame gets good news on 2026 recruits Joey O'Brien, Evan Jacobson, and Kaydon Finley

There is plenty going on the recruiting trail for Notre Dame football, and over the course of the last few days, its been a busy one. Multiple offers have been sent out to different classes, but that wasn't the only news that the Irish received. With 16 commitments in the 2026 cycle, Notre Dame has one the country's best at the current moment. Advertisement For it to finish off near the top, they'll have to add multiple more players and keep the one's they have committed now. There is some good news and bad, so find out the latest on Notre Dame football's recruiting efforts. (Note: All rankings are via the 247Sports Composite.) 2026 safety Joey O'Brien This is a big visit for the Irish, as the 6-foot, 3-inch and 185-pound star is the No. 65 overall prospect. O'Brien is set to make his commitment on June 20th, and as of right now, he doesn't have any other trips planned. It's a battle between Oregon, Clemson, Penn State and Notre Dame, and we'll find out soon where the talented safety lands. 2026 tight end Evan Jacobson The Wisconsin tight end changed up his schedule, as Mike Singer reports that Auburn and Florida State are out, and replaced by Notre Dame and Iowa State. You have to like how this one is playing out for the Irish, as the 6-foot, 7-inch and 220-pounder has the potential to be very good. Jacobson, the No. 274 ranked player, has already taken visits to Texas A&M, Missouri and Stanford, but still needs more time to make up his mind. 2026 defensive tackle Alister Vallejo commits to Michigan While the Irish have multiple guys committed on the defensive line, they don't have a true interior player in that group yet. Vallejo has good size at 6-foot, 3-inches and 310-pounds and Notre Dame would have loved to beat out Michigan in this one, but you can't win them all. 2026 wide receiver Kaydon Finley Singer again reporting that Finley will make a commitment on July 4th, less than a month from now. The 6-foot and 200-pound receiver will be on campus for his official visit this weekend, so the Irish will have a final chance to show him why South Bend is the best option. The nation's No. 110 player still has an official to Texas for next weekend, so this one is far from over. What to make of this Losing Vallejo isn't ideal, but they do have Tiki Hola committed at the moment. It's his size that separates him, and it'll be hard to find a replacement for that. The O'Brien news is very encouraging, especially considering the timing of the situation. It does seem like Notre Dame has some ground to make up, but they could push themselves to the top after this weekend. Same goes for the Finley verbal date, and Jacobson's change of plans, as they can also be viewed as good developments for the Irish.
