Orlando Bloom shrugs off Katy Perry split by singing his heart out at Oasis gig
Orlando Bloom at Heaton Park is not a sight we expected to see this weekend.
But by the looks of things, there's nowhere else Orlando would rather have been than singing his heart out at an Oasis gig.
Brushing off his recent personal drama after splitting from pop star Katy Perry, the actor, 48, had the time of his life at the Gallagher brothers' second home show in Manchester.
While he's used to spending much of his time in the States to co-parent daughter Daisy Dove, the English movie star unleashed his truest, fullest Brit on Saturday night.
Taking to Instagram with a warning message before spamming his seven million followers with content, he wrote: 'If you don't like @oasis swipe on- if you wanna see me run through some of my favourite karaoke numbers for laughs here you are lol'.
What followed was an onslaught of videos from the gig, which was part of Liam and Noel's worldwide reunion tour, marking their first time sharing the stage since disbanding in 2009.
Orlando was in his absolute element in the VIP area, surrounded by the Oasis kids, including Liam's sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24.
The Lord of the Rings star belted out the band's biggest hits, such as Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, and Champagne Supernova.
He jumped around without a care in the world and panned across the sold-out crowd sporting Oasis merch, arms in the air.
There didn't appear to be a lyric Orlando didn't know, proving he could've been a backing singer while screaming along to Take Me Away, Half the World Away, and Live Forever.
At the end of the night, he added: 'My 16 year old self who was at Knebworth just let it all hang out in Manchester what a night'.
Ahead of the gig, Orlando let his fans know exactly how he was feeling, posting a video with the caption from his journey: 'Road to Oasis. Could not be more f'in excited'.
'It's gonna be karaoke all night,' he later declared, beaming at the camera.
Orlando's love life has been a hot topic of conversation lately, as it was recently confirmed that he and fiancée Katy, 40, were no longer together romantically.
After much speculation, the pair finally issued a statement via their representatives, telling Us Weekly: 'Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.'
They continued: 'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.'
Orlando and Katy got together in 2016, and after a brief split and reconciliation, they got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019 and welcomed Daisy four years ago.
Things appear to be pretty civil between the exes now, though, as they were photographed together just days after their split was confirmed, partying with Jeff and Lauren Bezos on their honeymoon.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando had already attended the wedding itself alone, while Katy was touring in Australia.
The Roar hitmaker did, however, previously attend Lauren's star-studded bachelorette party in Paris, having also been a passenger alongside her for their brief Blue Origin trip to space earlier in the year.
While it had been claimed Katy felt hurt by Orlando partying with fellow A-listers, such as Sydney Sweeney and Kim Kardashian, at the Bezos nuptials, sources have insisted there's no real bad blood.
Ahead of the split statement being made public, an insider said: 'Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable.
'It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved not to have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.'

Meanwhile, she and Orlando, who was married to Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013, were initially due to marry in Japan in 2020 with 150 guests in attendance.
Alas, they postponed the celebrations due to the pandemic.
Speaking in 2022, Katy admitted that they were still get to decide on a location, telling the Kyle & Jackie O radio show: 'It's a destination location that, like, you know, we're still trying for it to work out.
'But every couple of months it's like, 'New variant! New variant! New variant!''

BBC will not tolerate behaviour outlined in Wallace report, says chief
The 58-year-old was speaking as the BBC unveiled its annual report, the day after the report into Wallace found a total of 45 out of the 83 allegations of misconduct made during his time on the show were substantiated, including one allegation of 'unwelcome physical contact'. Speaking about the independent report commissioned by MasterChef producer Banijay UK, Davie said: 'From our side, it's simple, we're not going to tolerate behaviour that is not in line with our values. 'The industry needs to change, and we want to lead in the front, myself and the BBC leadership team will not tolerate people who are behaving inappropriately. 'There is no place in or on the BBC for those who are not prepared to live by our values, whoever they are. 'This is a time of transition for the industry, a reset, and the changes we are driving are overdue.' On Monday, Wallace's MasterChef co-host John Torode confirmed he had a standalone allegation of racist language upheld in the same report. He said had 'no recollection of the incident' and was 'shocked and saddened' by the allegation in an Instagram post. In November 2024, the show's production company, Banijay UK, announced Wallace would step away from his role on the BBC cooking show while historical allegations of misconduct were investigated. The report concluded that the 'majority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate sexual language and humour', adding that 'a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated'. During the release of the annual report, BBC chair Samir Shah revealed for the first time that several members of staff had been dismissed as a result of an independent review of workplace culture commissioned by the BBC. He said: 'This is the first time we're going to say this publicly, several people have been dismissed as a result (of the review). 'But that, alongside the way the executive responded to the Banijay report into MasterChef yesterday, and I want audiences to feel confident that we are addressing these challenges. 'Finally, at the same time as acknowledging and dealing with the things they've gone wrong, the BBC has delivered an outstanding range of content to licence.' Davie later turned his attention to the Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone documentary, after a review found it had breached the corporation's editorial guidelines on accuracy. The programme was removed from BBC iPlayer in February after it emerged that the child narrator, Abdullah, is the son of Ayman Alyazouri, who has worked as Hamas's deputy minister of agriculture. Davie added: 'There was a breach of our editorial guidelines, there was no breach on impartiality and no evidence of any outside interest impact on the programme. 'But there was a breach of accuracy, and that is not acceptable, so we are taking action to ensure proper accountability and we're taking immediate steps to stop a failing like this being repeated. 'Despite this mistake, I do want to credit thousands of people across the BBC for delivering such brave impartial journalism despite immense challenges and very significant personal pressure. 'Personally, I remain utterly committed to delivering impartial coverage without fear or favour. It is needed now more than ever in this polarising world.' On Monday, Ofcom announced it would investigate the documentary under its broadcasting code, which states factual programmes 'must not materially mislead the audience'.
