Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff death: Ex-wife of Baywatch star David Hasselhoff dies at 61

Independent06-03-2025
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, the model and actor known for her television appearances during the 1980s and 1990s and her 17-year marriage to David Hasselhoff, has died. She was 61.
Originally from Oklahoma, Bach moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and met her future husband on the set of his hit show Knight Rider the same year.
Bach died by suicide, TMZ reports. Paramedics were called to her home late on Wednesday night, according to law enforcement sources cited by the outlet, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement to TMZ, Hasselhoff said: 'Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.
'We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.'
The former couple shared two daughters: Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32.
Bach was born Pamela Weissenbach on October 16, 1963. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of a model, and began her own modelling career as a teenager.
She attended Tulsa East Central High School before studying Engineering/Theatre Arts at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
Bach made her film debut in Francis Ford Coppola's Rumble Fish in 1983, which also starred Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane.
In 1985, she moved to Los Angeles to work in television, meeting Hasselhoff on the set of the Knight Rider episode 'Knight Racer.' They married four years later.
She also worked with her husband on Baywatch and spin-off series Baywatch Nights. Her other television credits included TJ Hooker, Cheers and The Young and the Restless.
In 2006, Hasselhoff announced he was filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized later that year, with each being given custody of one daughter.
In 2011, Bach-Hasselhoff appeared in that year's Celebrity Big Brother on British television. She was evicted from the house on Day 14.

Rare Kobe Bryant-Michael Jordan card 'expected to sell for over $6million' at auction

A rare card featuring the signatures of NBA legends Michael Jordan and the late Kobe Bryant is expected to fetch over $6 million at auction. The highly coveted card - from the 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection - is currently up for grabs through Heritage Auctions. As of Saturday morning, bidding had already soared past $5 million, with auction experts predicting a final sale price north of $6.1 million. What makes the card so valuable? It's the only card ever produced that includes both Jordan's and Bryant's autographs, alongside dual NBA Logoman patches. There is one in the traditional red, white, and blue for Bryant, and a gold and white variation for Jordan. According to TMZ, Chris Ivy, Heritage's Director of Sports Auctions said: 'This Dual Logoman card offered in this auction is the only example created that includes only Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. 'That makes it the most sought-after example of the incredible Upper Deck Logoman series, and because of Kobe Bryant's tragic death in 2020, it always will be the only one.' The card is part of Heritage's Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction, which runs from August 23 to 24. If it sells as expected, it will become the most expensive basketball card ever sold at public auction. According to Ivy, the card's consignor has already fielded multiple seven-figure private offers, but opted to place it in public auction. 'We're confident that it could, and most likely will, establish a new world record when the final bid is placed,' Ivy told TMZ. If the Jordan–Bryant Dual Logoman card hits its expected price, it will surpass the most valuable basketball cards ever sold - including those of Stephen Curry and LeBron James. In July 2021, a Stephen Curry 2009-10 Panini National Treasures Rookie Logoman Autograph card - serial numbered 1-of-1 - sold in a private sale for an astounding $5.9 million. Earlier that same year, a LeBron James 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Rookie Patch Autograph #78 sold for $5.2 million in a private sale. Now, with bidding on the Jordan–Bryant Logoman card climbing, it appears poised to take the top spot and cement its place as the most valuable basketball card ever. Understandably so, given that both players featured on the card are titans of the sport. Michael Jordan, a six-time NBA champion and five-time MVP with the Chicago Bulls, retired in 1993 before returning to the league twice more, ultimately ending his career in 2003 after two seasons with the Washington Wizards. Kobe Bryant, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in basketball history, spent his entire 20-season career with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning five NBA championships. He tragically passed away in a 2020 helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others. With the world watching and bidding still underway, this extraordinary piece of basketball memorabilia is poised to make history - just like the two legends it honors.

Reality TV star conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel spotted with newborn baby

Conjoined twins and reality TV stars Abby and Brittany Hensel have been spotted carrying a newborn baby, and putting the sweet infant inside a vehicle in a car park Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have been spotted out and about with a sweet newborn baby, leading to speculation that their family might have grown. ‌ In pictures shared by TMZ, the 35-year-old twin sisters, whose TLC series Abby & Brittany ended more than a decade ago, were seen carrying the adorable infant in a car seat before carefully making sure the baby was secured inside the back seat of their vehicle. ‌ The sisters then spent some time at the boot of the black Tesla before heading off on their journey and leaving the car park in Arden Hills, Minnesota. But they aren't the only TV stars who have gone through a major change, with the sighting coming after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift. ‌ Abby, who married husband Josh Bowling back in 2021, is already a step-mother to his daughter Isabella, from a previous romance - but for a long time, the sisters have always expressed a desire to have children. "We're going to be moms," Brittany said in Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16 in 2006. "We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet." Abby and Brittany are dicephalic parapagus twins, which means they share one torso to which their two heads are joined, and they also share one pair of legs. Abby, who is on the right side of the body, controls the right arm and leg, and Brittany has control over the left limbs. Conjoined twins are very rare, but the Hensen sisters are even more unusual because they are really pretty symmetrical compared to other conjoined twins. They have always been really candid about their unique shared lives, and recently posted a video on their TikTok page, which saw a doctor explain how their joined anatomy actually works. ‌ "Abby and Brittany Hensel's anatomy is a remarkable blend of shared and individual organs and tissues," the video they shared by molecular biologist Hashem Al-Ghaili explained, "The twins each have their own distinct upper body systems. Abby and Brittany have two heads, two brains, two spinal cords, and two hearts, which are part of a shared circulatory system." Despite having the same blood circulation system, their brains and spinal cords are their own, which means they have to work in tight-knit coordination to carry things, get places, or drive a car. ‌ The pair previously opened up on their reality TV show for TLC just how painstaking the coordination has to be on a minute-by-minute basis. "We have two licenses," Abby said back in 2012, "When we got our driver's licenses, we each had to take the test. We both passed." Brittany explained that they both have to steer, but her sister was the one in charge of the brake and acceleration pedals. ‌ Despite having their own hearts, brains, spines, and four lungs, the sisters share one set of reproductive organs. They haven't confirmed whether the baby they were spotted with is their own, and the teacher sisters now stay mostly out of the spotlight. When they were children, their parents were offered the possibility of separation surgery, but they turned it down, because it was unlikely that both their daughters would have survived.

Nickelodeon star files for divorce after 4 years of marriage

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has reportedly filed for divorce after four years of marriage. The Drake and Josh star, 39, dated actress and model Janet Von Schmeling for five years before getting married in 2018. During their four-year marriage, Bell and Schmeling had son Wyatt together, born in 2021. In 2023, she filed for divorce, citing 'irreconcilable differences.' According to TMZ at the time, she requested legal and physical custody of their son, as well as spousal support and visitation rights for Bell. The publication suggests that there was 'no movement' in the case until last year, when the court reportedly requested both parties to meet to expedite proceedings. TMZ claim that Bell has filed for divorce himself, putting in his own petition from Florida. The couple are said to have been separated since 2022. According to Bell, he first found out that his wife planned to divorce him via social media. When the news broke on TMZ in 2023, he tweeted: 'I found out my wife filed for divorce from TMZ…check out my new song.' This came only a week after he had been reported missing and 'endangered' by Daytona Beach Police. Hours later, a spokesperson told 'At this time we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr Bell is safe.' The Orange County Sheriff's Office added that the actor had been found in their jurisdiction 'unharmed' at around 11.30am, and deputies had taken action to make sure he received a 'mental health evaluation'. Bell joked about the situation afterwards, Tweeting: 'You leave your phone in the car and don't answer for the night and this?' Bell has experienced a troubled personal life since leaving Nickelodeon. In 2021, he was accused of having inappropriate conversations with a 15-year-old online that were sexual in nature. During the subsequent hearing, the actor pleaded guilty to the attempted endangerment of children, a fourth-degree felony, and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a first-degree misdemeanour. After someone on social media branded him a sex offender, Bell responded: 'Do a second of research. This is what I have to live with everyday. They are literally going to kill me.' In another tweet, he added: 'In a separate tweet he added: 'Noooo Immmm Nooooooottttt [a paedophile]!!!! You people are going to kill me.' He went on to tell another user: 'Nooooo I wasn't!! You people are destroying my life.' Last year, the former child star came forward to allege that he was himself a victim of sexual abuse by dialogue coach and now-convicted sex offender Brian Peck. In the Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,Bell claimed that he had been 15 years old when the abuse happened. Peck worked as a dialogue coach on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show, which Bell had starred in from 1999 to 2002. More Trending The following year he pleaded no contest to performing a lewd act with a 14 or 15-year-old and to oral copulation with a minor under 16. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender. View More » has reached out to Drake Bell's representatives for comment. Got a story?
