The Russo Brothers are returning to direct the final two films in the Multiverse Saga, and just like they did with Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame , the final two movies in the Infinity Saga, they are making these flicks super high-stakes and major events in the MCU.
As we head into the year long wait to see Avengers: Doomsday , bits of info, both verified and rumored, will really start to ramp up.
In the upcoming film, we know that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble to battle RDJ's Doctor Doom, and aside from the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and New Avengers, we know Captain America will lead his own team of Avengers.
A new rumor from The Cosmic Circus (via CBM) claims that the team led by Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) will be comprised of Joaquin Torres/The Falcon, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Wong, and Shang-Chi. They're officially on his team, with She-Hulk likely to join them.
The site notes that Latveria, the fictional country from the Marvel Comics universe ruled by the supervillain Doctor Doom will also be featured in Avengers: Doomsday . The small, isolated European nation is located in the Banat region, and is often portrayed as having a distinct culture and history.
The country is known for its advanced technology and the strong grip Doctor Doom maintains on its people. Regarding Doom's team, it's said, "we've already met them." That either means they're Multiversal Variants of familiar characters or villains from previous MCU movies.
So far, Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman, as well as The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, with X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Channing Tatum set to join them.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on May 7, 2027.

Gen Z & Gen Alpha ‘Brainrot' Terms Have Officially Been Added to the Cambridge Dictionary — & We Have So Many Questions

Language is ever evolving, and that's never been more evident than when listening to Gen Z and Gen Alpha talk. They say the most random, out-of-pocket things that have gone viral on the internet from songs, resurfaced phrases from TV and movies, and more places that we can only begin to guess the origins of. It's hard to keep up! Still, rather than write these off as teen slang (or 'brainrot,' as people call the more nonsensical words), Cambridge Dictionary is leaning into the narrative. The prestigious publication revealed that it has added over 6,200 new words to its lexicon, including some of the most popular thing kids are saying right now, and we have so many questions about this move. Boasting as 'one of the fastest-growing dictionaries in the world,' Cambridge has added definitions for words like skibidi, delulu, tradwife, broligarchy, and more. Yes, these are now considered actual words. More from SheKnows Teens Are Showing off Their Dorm Rooms on TikTok & People Are Calling One Detail 'Diabolical' 'It's not every day you get to see words like skibidi and delulu make their way into the Cambridge Dictionary,' Colin McIntosh, Lexical Programme Manager at Cambridge Dictionary, said in a statement. 'We only add words where we think they'll have staying power. Internet culture is changing the English language and the effect is fascinating to observe and capture in the Dictionary.' We are so confused by this move. If the words are in the dictionary, does that mean students can include things like 'delulu' in their official school essays? And how did the researchers determine that these particular terms have staying power as opposed to other words like 'gurt'? And the most important question of all: will kids come up with a whole new slew of phrases once they realize adults finally know the definitions of their popular slang? (How can anyone keep up, ever?) People had big reactions to the words being added to the dictionary on X. 'Humanity is f**king doomed,' one person wrote, per Daily Dot. 'It's time to revoke internet privileges,' someone else Tweeted. Still, as a parent of two Gen Alpha kids, I'm thankful for these definitions ¾ because my kids certainly can't (or won't) explain them to me. After all, a June study found that only 68 percent of parents understand what Gen Alpha is saying (which is the same or higher than what AI models could understand). Keep reading for some of the slang terms added to Cambridge Dictionary and their definitions. Skibidi (adjective): 'a word that can have different meanings such as 'cool' or 'bad,' or can be used with no real meaning as a joke.' Delulu (adjective): 'believing things that are not real or true, usually because you choose to.' Lewk (noun): 'a particular style, fashion, or outfit especially one that is unusual and impressive.' Broligarchy (noun): 'a small group of men, especially men owning or involved in a technology business, who are extremely rich and powerful, and who have or want political influence.' Tradwife (noun): 'a married woman, especially one who posts on social media, who stays at home doing cooking, cleaning, etc. and has children that she takes care of.' Inspo (noun): 'something, especially something posted on the internet, that gives you ideas for doing something or that makes you want to do something.' Slop (noun): 'content on the internet that is of very low quality, especially when it is created by artificial intelligence.' Rizz (noun): 'the ability to attract people's attention and make them like you, often in a romantic or sexual way.' Search for more popular words in the Cambridge Dictionary HERE. Stone Age People Brutalized Their Prisoners of War, New Evidence Suggests

When we think of Stone Age people, most imagine small communities living in caves, cutting into their most recent hunt with primitive tools, and imitating their environment with illustrative rock art. People during the Neolithic, however—the last stage of the Stone Age (around 9000 to 3300 BCE)—also waged wars and absolutely demolished their enemies. In a study published today in the journal Science Advances, researchers present horrific evidence suggesting that Neolithic people in northeastern France mutilated foreign invaders. Their findings might represent some of the earliest known indications of gruesome victory celebrations related to war. The international team of researchers analyzed skeletal remains and severed limbs from burial pits dating to between 4300 and 4150 BCE at two sites near Strasbourg, Achenheim and Bergheim. 'A total of 82 humans are analyzed,' they wrote in the study. Their analysis revealed 'differences between victims and nonvictims and suggest that the former were members of invading groups brutally killed, perhaps exposed and deposited in pits—together with trophies in the form of severed upper limbs—by local groups in what might be one of the earliest well-documented instances of martial victory celebrations in prehistoric Europe,' they explained. Previous research in the Upper Rhine Valley had already shown that this time period was marked by military invasions and cultural upheaval, but scientists didn't know whether the human remains at Achenheim and Bergheim were of locals or foreigners and/or prisoners of war. In addition to the severed upper limbs, the researchers also identified injuries such as skull fractures that had not healed. The team, including Valladolid University's Teresa Fernandez-Crespo, suggests these victims met violent ends during war. The individuals without these sorts of unhealed injuries, on the other hand, likely received a regular burial. To investigate the differences between those who were brutally killed and those who weren't, Fernandez-Crespo and her colleagues conducted isotopic analyses. By identifying ratios of isotopes—variants of the same element—in the remains, they discovered that, while the non-victims were locals, the victims of war violence came from other regions. According to the researchers, this indicates that the victims were likely invaders killed by locals. 'In view of their demise, it is probable that the identities of these victims can be attributed to socially remote, nonlocal enemies that became trophies or captives during battles or raids and that may have been considered by their captors as not properly 'human' and hence warranting such treatment,' the researchers explained. For once, the term 'overkill' applies literally.
