Maison Revka Review: A Baroque beauty comes to Dubai

FACT12-03-2025

The concept combines Slavic and Parisian influences.
Maison Revka Dubai feels like a Baroque painting come to life. The new Slavic restaurant boasts a glamorous grandeur, soft shadows and a dose of drama. Located in Delano Dubai at Bluewaters Island, the concept first started in France before making its Dubai debut.
Maison Revka can be found in Paris and Saint Tropez. Founded by a Slavic family, the restaurant aims to blend Slavic gastronomy with Parisian elegance. The Dubai venue boasts an array of areas: a boutique on the first floor, which sells items ranging from gourmet food to luxury tableware; a plush pool with frilly umbrellas and branded cushions; and an ornate dining room fit for royalty.
Maison Revka is open for lunch and dinner, and can be enjoyed outdoors and indoors. The dramatic design is unmatched in Dubai. The terrace feels like the streets of Paris, and the dining room boasts an old-world charm. As you step down the stairs, you are welcomed into a space that feels like it's straight out of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The room includes high ceilings, sink-into-seats, tall indoor trees, white tablecloths and Lumières – aka flickering candlesticks. Every corner (and customer) was photo-ready.
Maison Revka's dishes scream luxury and are served on an actual silver platter. The menu spans smoked salmon, caviar, raw, cold starters, hot starters, mains, sharing, sushi and sides. Dishes are dressed to impress, from the Mozzarella Sticks with Caviar to the Chicken Shashlik with leek and truffle jus. Nowhere is that more apparent than with the humble yet haute, Rosti Potato with Cream Cheese and Caviar. Shredded and soft, it created a cushion for the toppings.
The Truffle Pizzeta came with a pillowy crust, and a generous helping of cheese and truffle. The signature dish, Salmon Coulibiac with Beurre Blanc and Cured Salmon Eggs, combined comfort with class. The salmon, mushroom and spinach were encased in a puff pastry, and sat atop a silky sauce.
Pavlovas dominate the dessert menu, and are designed to dazzle. The Giant Red Berries Pavolva was Insta-worthy, as the tall tower was topped with fruit and flowers. While it comes in at AED 185, it is big enough for four.
On Maison Revka's menu, more is more. While our vegetarian guest had limited options, they managed to make do with combining starters and sides. If you're looking to combine class with comfort, this venue hits the spot.
Maison Revka's drinks are made of strong stuff, thanks to the Slavic influence. The signature cocktail, Matryochka combines vodka with lime, fruit tea and raspberry. The cocktails also range from the pisco-based Ostryy to the gin-based Svezhyy. Plus, Champagne, wine and whiskey are available.
Maison Revka is, without a doubt, one of the most romantic restaurants in Dubai. On our visit, love was in the air and influencers were in the wild. Couples were canoodling and celebrating, and girls with pearl earrings were taking shots on the steps. So, if you want to immerse yourself in a Rubens or Vermeer, visit Maison Revka.

NASSER AL-KHELAÏFI EXCEPTIONAL GUEST ON C À VOUS SHOW: 'TODAY, THE SUPERSTAR IS THE TEAM'

Nasser al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, was the exceptional guest on the C à Vous show broadcast on France 5 on June 10, 2025. In an interview marked by emotion and pride, he reflected on the club's historic Champions League victory. Asked about PSG's transformation, the Qatari leader highlighted the paradigm shift implemented by the club: 'Today, the superstar is the team. We are a family, 23 soldiers on and off the pitch. We have stars today, we have Dembélé, Marquinhos, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Hakimi, we have many players, the whole team is a star. But today the stars play and work for the team.' This new approach, centered on the collective and the promotion of young talent, marks a break with the era of individual superstars. The PSG president paid tribute to other major French clubs: 'We are proud to represent France alongside Monaco, Brest and Lille. French football is shining in Europe thanks to all these clubs.' The show was punctuated by video messages of congratulations from prominent personalities and iconic players. Ousmane Dembélé, PSG's star striker, paid special tribute to his president: 'When I signed for Paris Saint-Germain, he told me that we were going to achieve our objectives, that we were going to win the most beautiful competition. Two years later, we did it. It's exceptional.' Nasser al-Khelaïfi in return praised the player: 'Ousmane Dembélé is the Ballon d'Or. He's a magnificent player, generous on the pitch and off it, he's an example.' Malik Bentalha and Teddy Riner also praised the Parisian leader's commitment and vision. Nasser al-Khelaïfi was full of praise for the supporters: 'Our supporters are the best in the world. I want to thank all of France and all the French people, for once I felt all of France behind us. That touched us deeply.' The PSG president also had warm words for the club's former iconic players: 'I want to thank Kylian for what he gave to the club. Him, Messi, Neymar, Ibrahimovic… all the players, because it was an important period for the club. We're lucky this year, but I wish him the best at Real, from the bottom of my heart.' Speaking about the star that will soon adorn the Parisian jersey, Nasser al-Khelaïfi was measured: 'We haven't decided yet, we want to play with the star for the Club World Cup, but we must remain humble. This star is magnificent, but the most important thing is the name: 'Paris Saint-Germain'.' Behind the scenes of the show, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had the opportunity to chat with singer Sting, also a guest that evening, who praised the consistency of the Parisian project. The leader said he was particularly touched by these spontaneous exchanges. Moved, he concluded by dedicating this victory to his recently deceased mother: 'It's difficult to talk about… but she was with me. It was her dream for us to win this Champions League. This trophy is for my mother too.'

Jain will lead Disney's EMEA content strategy for original productions on Disney+, including commissioning, production management, business affairs and Disney+ originals' branded acquisitions. The Walt Disney Company has announced the appointment of Angela Jain as Head of Content for Disney+ across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Jain, who currently serves as Director of Unscripted, UK, at ITV Studios, will assume her new role in September. This newly created position comes as Disney strengthens its focus on international markets and original local content—an emphasis highlighted during the company's recent earnings call. In her new role, Jain will oversee Disney+'s original content strategy in the EMEA region, including commissioning, production management, business affairs, and the acquisition of branded originals. She will report directly to Eric Schrier, President of Disney Television Studios and Global Original Television Strategy. Commenting on the appointment, Schrier said: 'Angela's appointment to lead original content in EMEA is an essential piece of our ambitious plan to grow our local slate for Disney+. Her expertise and experience will help build on our recent success and elevate our storytelling, bringing customers more local stories that complement our incomparable movies and shows from our global studios.' Jain added: 'It is an irresistible opportunity to join Disney, return to commissioning and work alongside Eric Schrier and his talented team. The growth and vision to expand original productions is invigorating, and I look forward to collaborating with the very best creative talent to produce shows of real excellence and ambition for Disney+. 'I'm grateful to ITV after so many wonderful and successful years. I will miss enormously the most incredible and dedicated production teams, colleagues and friends from whom I have learned so much and to whom I would like to say a heartfelt thank you.' Jain brings with her decades of experience in content creation, commissioning, and channel management. At ITV, she held a range of senior positions, including Controller of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, Managing Director of Lifted Entertainment, and most recently, Director of Unscripted UK, where she led 11 labels responsible for globally successful formats. Earlier in her career, as Controller of ITV2, she commissioned major hits like Love Island, Plebs, The Big Reunion and Timewasters. At E4, she oversaw iconic series such as The Inbetweeners, Misfits and Dead Set, while also acquiring US hits like Glee and The Big Bang Theory.
