'Artificial Intelligence is transforming industries rapidly. According to global studies, by 2030, over 70% of today's jobs may cease to exist. Your biggest challenge will be to continuously upgrade your skills and adapt,' said Singh, addressing the audience.
He was the chief guest at the TMS Millennia & Business Unplugged event held at The Millennium School, South City, Rae Bareli Road in the state capital. In a generous gesture towards promoting digital empowerment, the MLA donated five laptops to meritorious students of the school.
Singh highlighted the turbulent global scenario, referencing the ongoing wars around the world, especially the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where over $300 billion has been spent, more than 1.5 lakh lives lost and over 10 million people displaced.
'Seeing your faces today, I am confident, the future of India is incredibly bright,' he told students.
The MLA appreciated platforms like TMS and Business Unplugged for nurturing creativity, innovation and skills among students, calling them a blessed generation.
Singh reflected on India's journey from Colonial oppression to becoming the world's 4th largest economy, crediting the sacrifices of past generations and the resilience of Indian families.
'Now, it is your responsibility to carry India forward. Health and environment are major challenges for your generation. Every year, over 6 million Indians die due to non-communicable and lifestyle-related diseases. Sustainable and green development is the only way forward,' he said.
He emphasised the government's commitment to youth development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Singh urged students to be vigilant in the age of misinformation, fake news and deepfakes, reminding them that: 'By 2050, machines may become more intelligent than human beings. It is essential to master technology and not become a victim of it.'
Prominent among those present on the occasion included chairman of the institute, Shantanu Prakash, principal Manjulika Goswami, headmistress Priyanka Bhandari, coordinator Akanksha Sharma, admin manager Sachin Dubey, BJP leaders Shankari Singh and Tejpal Sial, among others.

Defence production hits record Rs 1.5 lakh crore, private firms' share up
Synopsis India's defence production has surpassed ₹1.5 lakh crore, marking a significant milestone fueled by increased private sector participation. The defence minister highlighted an 18% growth in FY 2024-25, showcasing the strengthening of India's defence industrial base. Defence exports also saw a surge, reaching ₹23,622 crore, reflecting a 12% increase over the previous year. PTI Indian defence production has crossed the ₹1.5 lakh crore mark, with private companies increasing their share in production and export of military systems, defence minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday. Lauding the collective effort that led to an all-time high figure of defence production worth ₹1,50,590 crore, Singh said that the milestone is a clear indicator of India's strengthening defence industrial base. Officials said that in the 2024-25 FY, there has been an 18% growth over the previous fiscal's output of ₹1.27 lakh crore, and a 90% increase since FY 2019-20, when the figure was ₹79,071 crore. The numbers have been achieved as the government has gone on overdrive to promote Indian companies to enter the sector and has initiated programs like Emergency Procurement (EPs) that have given orders to a large number of startups and smaller companies as well. Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and other PSUs accounted for around 77% of total production, while the private sector contributed 23%. The share of the private sector has been steadily rising, from 21% in FY 2023-24 to 23% in FY 2024-25, and is expected to go up exponentially in the coming years as several big projects have been opened up to competitive bidding. Dozens of companies, from backgrounds as diverse as automobile component manufacturing to civil works have entered the defence manufacturing sector as opportunities grow."Both public and private segments of the industry have demonstrated consistent year-on-year growth, attributed to far-reaching policy reforms, enhanced ease of doing business, and a strategic focus on indigenisation over the past decade," officials said. There has been a surge in defence exports as well, with the figure growing to ₹23,622 crore in FY 2024-25, a 12% growth over the previous year.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Saturday backed Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's recent allegations of large-scale "vote theft" during elections, asserting that the Election Commission is being "operated through the BJP office". "We had been saying this for a long time now that vote theft has indeed happened across the country, and that EC is operated through the BJP office. What Rahul Gandhi has shown are not empty claims. The Congress leader has also specifically raised concerns over the alleged addition of lakhs of voters in Maharashtra just months before the state polls in 2024, alleging the votes helped the Mahayuti coalition come into power. At a press conference on August 7, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were "choreographed" by the EC to benefit the BJP, which he said appeared "immune to anti-incumbency." Citing internal analysis, Gandhi said the Congress expected to win 16 seats in Karnataka but ended up with only nine. He said the Congress investigated seven unexpected losses, zeroing in on Mahadevapura, where he alleged vote theft involving 1,00,250 votes.
