Brian McFadden's doomed marriage to Kerry Katona as he marries for third time

As Brian McFadden celebrates his third marriage with new wife Danielle Parkinson, we take a look back at his doomed marriages with Kerry Katona and Vogue Williams which both ended in utter heartbreak
Brian McFadden has married fiancée Danielle Parkinson in a stunning ceremony in Cornwall, marking a new chapter in his life and his third walk down the aisle.
The former Westlife star, now 45, tied the knot in a stunning beachside ceremony and has given fans a glimpse into their special day. The Irish singer took to Instagram to share a carousel of images with his new wife, along with their daughter, Ruby Jean.

The newlyweds were seen grinning from ear to ear as they posed in beautiful matching white outfits. They said 'I do' in a stunning beach ceremony and fans were quick to send sweet wishes to the happy couple.

Before tying the knot with Danielle, Brian recently opened up about his journey through love, marriage, fatherhood, and how his perspective has changed over the years. Speaking ahead of the big day, Brian spoke candidly about lessons learned from his two previous marriages, to Kerry Katona and Vogue Williams.
'You live and learn, you go through life living and learning,' he told Closer. 'Getting married is a great thing, but if the marriage isn't working there's nothing wrong in walking away from each other.'
Brian first got married at 22, to Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona. The couple had a whirlwind romance and went on to have two daughters, Molly and Lilly-Sue. However, the relationship didn't last, crumbling under the pressure of fame and personal issues. Brian later admitted to being unfaithful to Kerry during his stag night - a regretful chapter he's since acknowledged publicly.
Kerry has previously shared that she couldn't make her ex-husband Brian love her 'enough' to stay together when they were married. The former couple began dating in 1999 and then tied the knot in 2002.
The marriage however ended in just two years later in 2004 and Kerry has previously spoken about separating from former Westlife member Brian over the years.

The former Atomic Kitten singer shared her sad confession as she said: "I remember feeling shattered when my first marriage broke down and I was left with two baby daughters. It's one thing being heartbroken by the loss of a relationship, but add to that the guilt of being a mum and it's so hard."
"I'll never forget the sadness of feeling like I couldn't make Brian love me enough to keep our family together." Kerry went on to share in the magazine column at the time that it took her a "long time" to "get over that".

More recently, Kerry said that she doesn't "blame" Brian for the end of the relationship. Speaking on Slingo's Getting Lippy Gossip Show last year, as previously reported, she said: "You can't force somebody to love you if someone falls out of love with you. It took me a long time to get over this but if somebody doesn't want to be with you can't force them to stay with you and Brian didn't want to be with me."
Brian told the Independent in 2007 that early on in the relationship he hadn't thought about whether he wanted a long-term future with Kerry.

He said that life "ran away" with him, saying: "So then, when we had the first baby, bought a house, spent time together and Westlife became the same thing over and over, I woke up one morning and realised, 'This is not what I want to do with my life, I don't see myself being with this woman in 20 years, she's not who I'm meant to be with, we don't have anything in common'."
He later described their marriage as having not been "real," saying it was for "a big party" and to "get loads of money for it" and to "appear showbiz".
He suggested that it ended on the stag night, when he cheated with a lap dancer, ahead of the wedding. He once said that it was then that he thought "this is not supposed to be". As previously reported, Kerry admitted on the Getting Lippy Gossip Show that she believes the "trust had just gone" after he cheated.

Appearing on Celebs Go Dating, Kerry broke down in tears as she said Brian was the only man she'd ever loved. Kerry sobbed as she recalled her dating history and admitted it's gone "downhill" since her first divorce.
"The only time I was ever in love was my first husband. I look back now and think 'god we were so young, was it puppy love?'" she told the dating experts. "Brian was my the only love of my life and it went downhill from there. When Brian left me I didn't want to be rich and famous I wanted to belong."

Despite years of friction, Brian says he and Kerry have found peace. After more than 20 years, they now have a better understanding, united through co-parenting their daughters.
His second marriage to Vogue Williams also ended in divorce, though the pair have both moved on and are now in happy relationships. Brian has since found lasting happiness with Danielle, whom he began dating in 2016. Meanwhile Vogue is happily married to Spencer Matthews and the couple share three children together.

Earlier this year, Vogue opened up about her ill-fated marriage to Brian, admitting she had doubts on their wedding day in 2012. The couple, who met in a Dublin nightclub and got engaged in early 2012, celebrated their nuptials in Florence, Italy, but the marriage unravelled within three years, leading to their divorce in 2017.
In her tell-all autobiography 'Big Mouth', Vogue confessed that Brian wasn't "marriage material" despite being "good fun to be around" most of the time. She wrote: "The morning of the wedding I felt very stressed and so anxious because deep down I knew I had made a mistake. After the wedding I tried to make things work."
Vogue also reflected on the brighter moments of their relationship, saying: "The relationship wasn't all terrible, we did have some great times too, and for the most part he was good fun to be around. But he was not husband material."

"It was me who called it in the end. I couldn't keep trying, it felt pointless... I'm not here to throw anyone under the bus but there are things that went on in our relationship that will never be forgiven."
Further sharing her experiences on The Life of Bryony podcast with Bryony Gordon, Vogue confided that she felt like her "life was over" when her divorce from Brian was finalised.

She divulged her past concerns, saying: "I remember being divorced at 31 and thinking, I've ruined my life. I am never going to have kids, I am never going to do what I always wanted to do."
Sharing her positivity about growing older, she added: "Then you see how your life actually starts to unfold – that's why it feels exciting to move into your forties."
Brian has found love again with Danielle, but their relationship hasn't been without struggle however. The couple faced two devastating miscarriages before turning to IVF. In 2021, they welcomed their daughter Ruby - a joyful moment after years of heartbreak.

'Molly and Lilly are women now, I speak to them all the time. They love Ruby!' Brian said. 'And Dani is an unbelievable mum. We're great team mates.'
When asked about the possibility of another baby, Brian responded with honesty: 'We'd like another baby, but we'll see. I'm not really bothered about having a boy. After everything we've went through with the miscarriages, I'd never wish for anything. Just that it's a healthy baby, that's it. For the baby to be OK. So if we have a boy, great, but I love my three girls!'
Now married and preparing for a new leg of his music career with Boyzlife's upcoming tour, Brian says he's in a good place - focused on his family, future, and the wisdom gained from his past.

Jimmy Carr called father for favour after 25-year feud - then cut him off again

Jimmy Carr allegedly sought to end his two-decades-long feud with his 80-year-old father—before cutting him off again shortly after. The comedian, known for his stand-up and hosting panel shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, is the son of Jim Carr. Jimmy, 52, has never made a secret of their strained, or perhaps nonexistent, relationship. In 2021, he revealed that they hadn't spoken since 2000 and he had not seen his father either, with the exception of signing an autograph after a gig in 2015, but without having a conversation. Now, however, a friend of Jim's has claimed Jimmy reached out to him to ask for a favour, which gave his father hope that they were about to patch things up. However, he was soon met with silence once more. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source said the Irish-born businessman received a phone call out of the blue almost eight years ago in which Jimmy asked if he would 'take on a burden' for him. 'It was just before Christmas in 2017, and Jimmy rang his dad to ask him for some help with a problem he had,' they began. 'He had been supporting someone close to him but just couldn't continue doing so.' 'Jim has never told me the full details, preferring to keep it private, but it was a big favour to ask, and obviously Jimmy felt he had nowhere else to turn, given that he hadn't spoken to his dad for the last 15 or 16 years prior to that phone call,' they continued. 'He wanted Jim to take on the burden, which he duly did. But while Jim hoped this good deed could rekindle their relationship, Jimmy seemed to cut him off again.' The friend claims that, following their exchange via phone, Jimmy 'didn't call to thank [his father] or anything'. 'It was radio silence… which continues to this day,' the pal added. 'It's strange because it was he who instigated that temporary thaw in relations.' Jim is said to still be 'mystified as to what actually caused Jimmy to fall out with him in the first place,' as he 'doesn't know what he's supposed to have done wrong' since Jimmy has 'never told him'. 'Jimmy is a comedian who is forever joking about being cancelled because of the nature of his jokes—but that is what he's done effectively to his own father.' As far as Jim is concerned, though, he believes any past issues are 'water under the bridge'. Since he is very close to his other two sons, Jim would 'like to reunite with Jimmy' and also meet his grandson. Jimmy and his long-time partner, Karoline Copping, welcomed a son named Rockefeller in 2019. 'Life is too short to keep up these sorts of grievances—Jim loves his son and hopes that they can at least start talking again.' One of those so-called grievances is a comment Jimmy made in his 2022 memoir, Before & Laughter. At the time, the Isleworth-born comic referred to Limerick, his parents' hometown in Ireland, as a 's**t town'. 'I might seem urbane, but I'm the son of two immigrants from Limerick who moved to Slough (they moved from a s**t town to another s**t town; I guess they knew what they liked,' he penned. Upset, Jim was on the verge of suing his son for defamation and demanded a public apology. He told the Limerick Leader at the time that Jimmy had 'crossed the line', calling his comments 'offensive' and 'derogatory'. He also called for the mayor of Limerick and the Limerick City and County Council to revoke an honour Jimmy received in 2013. It's believed that Jimmy and Jim were close until shortly after Jimmy's mother, Nora, died from pancreatitis in 2001. While details of their feud are unknown, Jimmy has made his feelings clear in the past. More Trending Speaking on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's Parenting Hell podcast four years ago, he said: 'I haven't seen my father in 21 years, and, you know the line, 'My mother's dead and my father's dead to me'—which sounds very cold until you meet the guy. 'I can't have that guy in my life.' Jimmy also has two brothers: Colin, a banker, and Patrick, an actor. Reps for Jimmy Carr have been contacted for comment. Got a story? 90s boyband star marries for third time in Cornish beach ceremony

Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has married for the third time, tying the knot with long-term partner Danielle Parkinson in a romantic beachside ceremony in Cornwall. The 44-year-old Irish pop singer, who rose to fame in the late 1990s as 1/5 of one of Ireland's biggest boybands, said 'I do' to Danielle in front of close friends and family in a picture-perfect coastal celebration. Brian and Danielle, who share three-year-old daughter Ruby, kept the ceremony intimate and relaxed, exchanging vows barefoot on the sand with the sea as their backdrop. Friends described the natural, laid-back setting as 'perfectly them.' Danielle, a PE teacher from Manchester, looked radiant in a simple, elegant gown with her hair styled in soft waves. Brian opted for relaxed beachwear with a formal twist rather than a traditional tux. While the beach celebration in Cornwall was their most public celebration, it followed a legal wedding held earlier in Ireland, closer to Brian's roots in Dublin. The pair reportedly wanted a second ceremony to mark the occasion with their loved ones in a place they often holiday as a family. After announcing their marriage, friends and fans were quick to congratulate them, with Towie's Gemma Collins commenting: 'Congratulations!' Fellow Irish pop duo Jedward also said: 'The vibes are perfection', while former bandmate Ronan Keating's wife, Storm, added: 'Congratulations guys!' This marks Brian's third marriage, as he was previously married to Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, with whom he shares two daughters, Molly and Lilly-Sue. Their relationship was all over the media in the Noughties but ended in divorce in 2004. Kerry has said nothing but lovely things about her ex-husband's new beau, sharing that she 'gets on really well' with Danielle: 'I think I might have a girl crush on her. I always go off of what my girls say for a stepmum, and she's the best stepmum. 'On Mother's Day, I sent her a message. I went, 'Happy Mother's Day, Danielle.' I think she's lovely, and they've got a beautiful little girl, Ruby.' 'I wish them nothing but joy and happiness,' she added on the podcast Meeting… Kerry Katona. Brian married Irish model and presenter Vogue Williams in 2012, but the pair split three years later. Vogue went on to marry Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews, with whom she shares three kids. Brian's relationship with Danielle has been notably more private than his last. They started dating in 2016, having met through mutual friends, and have largely stayed out of the spotlight. However, the newlyweds share occasional glimpses of their life together on social media. Alas, their relationship hasn't all been rainbows and roses, as they had a difficult journey to parenthood, with Danielle suffering two miscarriages. Brian and Danielle were open about their struggles with fertility and went through IVF before welcoming Ruby in 2021. At the time, Brian described the moment as 'life-changing' and praised Danielle's strength. Now, with a new chapter officially underway, the couple appear more in love than ever. While Brian is best known for his time in Westlife—with global hits like Flying Without Wings, Swear It Again, and World of Our Own—his post-boyband life has taken many forms. After leaving the group in 2004 to pursue a solo career, he dabbled in TV presenting, reality shows, and musical theatre. More Trending In recent years, he's taken a step back to focus on family and live performances. Despite the fame and the public breakups of the past, Brian has credited Danielle with bringing balance to his life. In interviews, he's called her his 'rock' and described her as the most supportive partner he's ever had. Danielle, meanwhile, is a former heptathlete who has built a career in education and fitness. Love Island fans work out Dejon's 'petty' gameplan as he sets other boys up

Love Island fans think they've cracked Dejon's 'petty' Casa Amor strategy, claiming he's deliberately stirring the pot and setting the other boys up to take the fall for drama he's quietly orchestrating Love Island fans have worked out Dejon's 'petty' gameplan in Casa Amor to make him look better than all of the other boys. Since the show kicked off at beginning of June, Dejon has been coupled-up with Meg as they remain the strongest couple in the villa. Just days before Casa Amor kicked off, the smitten pair proved that they were stronger than ever after Dejon shot down Irish bombshell Billykiss after she confronted him for not exploring any other options in the villa and sticking with Meg the whole time. ‌ Dejon told Billykiss that he had zero interest in getting to know her or anyone else for that matter because Meg was the only one for him. And it looks as though Dejon is sticking to his guns as he set the other boys up for failure within minutes of entering Casa Amor. ‌ He wasted no time in suggesting that the islanders play a cheeky game of truth or dare before daring the other boys to kiss the girls they fancy the most. The game even brought about a confession from the sweetest boy in the villa, Tommy, who revealed that he was interested in getting to know the new girls - despite the fact that he had shared his devotion to Emily hours before. Dejon's tactics didn't go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers who called out his 'sneaky' actions on X. One viewer penned: "Dejon we all know your PETTY plan to make you look better and more loyal than all the rest of boys, but it ain't working mate." "Dejon just gives f**kboy energy to the core. I don't believe for a second that he actually likes Meg! Nobody likes Meg," another quipped. Someone else echoed: "I just do not trust Dejon one bit. I don't think he really is who he's making out to be on TV." After suggesting the game of Truth or Dare, things quickly heated up fast as Ben dived in with a bold three-way kiss, including Harry's ex, Emma. Harry then soon came face to face with his ex girlfriend Emma, who greeted him with a cheeky: 'Surprise!' He later confirmed the 'E' tattoo on his wrist is, indeed, for her. As the Islanders chatted about their types, Yaz said she needs emotional depth in a partner. Emma didn't miss a beat, leaning toward Harry and saying: 'Well that's you out.' ‌ After the shock of her entrance, Harry and his ex Emma finally caught up, and he said: 'I don't need you to come and tell me off.' But Emma has no plans to stay quiet as she called him out on his bad behaviour with Helena. 'It's disgraceful though… like, how are you still doing the same thing?' she said. 'The way you've been moving with Helena honestly… you two deserve each other… two snakes.'
