Which younger Boston Celtics will have a bigger role with the team next season? With the Celtics looking at being without star forward Jayson Tatum for much if not all of the season to come with an Achilles tendon tear currently healing up, there will be extra minutes available for Boston to fill. And that does not even take into account that big men Al Horford and Luke Kornet are free agents who might not return to the team.
There are several younger players on the roster who might see their playing time go up given all that is going on with the Celtics for their coming campaign. Could we see more of Baylor Scheierman, Neemias Queta, Jordan Walsh, JD Davison, or Payton Pritchard, to name a few?

A rough year from beyond the arc likely hurt his stock, with the former Bulldog hitting just 27.1% from 3 last season, compared to 37.7% the prior two campaigns. A 6-foot-10 forward who logged 9.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 35 games with Gonzaga last season, Gregg could be a sneaky good get for Boston as a developmental project for the future. He is not mocked in either round by most analysts, and could be a player Boston is watching as a player to sign if Gregg doesn't get picked up by the end of the second round, or if the Celtics trade back. The former Bulldog plays more in the midrange and cutting to the cup, but his past success from deep makes for an intriguing mix for his size.

Not only does it make sense for Horford to sign with the Knicks because of basketball reasons, but he also has a connection with one of the players on the team. 'If they go get Al Horford this summer, … I think (he) would be an unbelievable fit on this Knicks roster.' Horford has played an important part for the Celtics on and off the court over the years, and he can be the player that the Knicks are looking for. He would be a solid backup to Towns, and he can play both the 4 and 5, so there are times they may decide to put both on the floor at the same time. It will be an interesting offseason for the Knicks, and hopefully, they can get some quality depth on the team.
