Grok AI to be available in Tesla vehicles next week, Musk says
Musk's AI startup xAI launched Grok 4, its latest flagship AI model, on Wednesday. While Musk had earlier said Tesla vehicles would be equipped with Grok, the billionaire CEO had not shared a timeline.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The AI chatbot has been in hot water this week after social media posts on its X account were removed after complaints from X users and the Anti-Defamation League that Grok produced content with antisemitic tropes and praise for Adolf Hitler.

CK Hutchison ports deal deadline likely to be extended as geopolitics weigh, sources say
HONG KONG, July 25 (Reuters) - CK Hutchison's ( opens new tab plan to sell most of its $22.8 billion ports business is unlikely to be finalised anytime soon, with political brinkmanship set to continue, and sources saying that a Sunday deadline for exclusive talks was likely to be extended. The Hong Kong conglomerate's plan to sell the business, which would include two ports along the strategically important Panama Canal, to a consortium led by BlackRock (BLK.N), opens new tab and Italian billionaire Gianluigi Aponte's family-run shipping company MSC, has become politicised amid an escalating China-U.S. trade war. Negotiations for the deal, which covers 43 ports in 23 countries, are on an exclusive basis between CK Hutchison, controlled by Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing, and the consortium for 145 days until Sunday, according to the terms announced in March. The deal talks, however, are unlikely to collapse if the two parties do not ink a pact by Sunday, with three people close to the ports-to-telecoms conglomerate saying the parties could extend the deadline to continue exclusive negotiations. The first part of the deal - definitive documentation to sell two port operations near the Panama Canal - was also not signed by an April 2 deadline set in the sales announcement. The people declined to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter. BlackRock declined to comment. CK Hutchison and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, which CK Hutchison said in May was the main investor in the consortium, did not respond to requests for comment. U.S. President Donald Trump hailed the deal as "reclaiming" the Panama Canal, after his administration previously called for the removal of what it said was Chinese ownership of the ports near the canal. But in April, China's top market regulator said that it was paying close attention to CK Hutchison's planned sale and that parties to the deal should not try to avoid an antitrust review. Beijing's stance on the planned deal was made public after pro-China media launched a stinging criticism, saying China had significant national interests in the transaction and it would be a betrayal of the country. "I think at this moment it's not very optimistic that they can directly sell the ports to the consortium," said Jackson Chan, global fixed income senior manager at FSMOne Hong Kong, which has clients holding CK Hutchison bonds. "The market has already digested the news, even if it announces next week that it won't sell anymore, I don't think it'll be a shock because the market understands it wouldn't have a large impact on its operations." CK Hutchison shares, which jumped 33% the following two days after the deal was announced in early March, erased all of the gains by mid-April. But since then it regained lost ground along with the rise in the broader Hong Kong market index (.HSI), opens new tab. The outlook for the deal has been clouded further in recent days, with a separate source telling Reuters that Chinese ports operator China Cosco Shipping Corp (COSCO) was also looking to join the consortium to buy the ports business. COSCO is requesting veto rights or equivalent power in the entity that will take over 43 ports from CK Hutchison, Bloomberg News reported this week, citing people familiar with the matter. COSCO did not respond to a request for comment. Responding to Reuters' emailed queries on the deal prospects and possible involvement of COSCO in the consortium, a White House official said: "As the president said, we didn't give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we're taking it back." The official did not elaborate. The existing consortium would likely allow COSCO into the deal, said Cathy Seifert, an analyst at CFRA Research. "The bigger risk to the deal being consummated, in my opinion, is likely the Trump administration, which is likely to block a deal that would include China," said the New Jersey-based analyst who tracks BlackRock. Ballingal Investment Advisors strategist David Blennerhassett, who publishes on the independent online research platform Smartkarma, said the addition of COSCO in the consortium was likely to enrage Trump. "Trump, who has a handful of issues already on his plate, would be incandescent," he said.

2026 Hyundai Palisade MSRP Increase, Still a Better Value Than Toyota, Honda?
By signing up I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy . You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. The Hyundai Palisade was a great value. Does a price hike change anything? Hyundai revealed that pricing for the 2026 Hyundai Palisade will climb by nearly 5%, coinciding with the debut of the model's second generation. But it's hardly getting less for more. The new SUV is larger than the outgoing model, features attractive new styling both inside and out, and offers numerous new extras, including an available hybrid powertrain and more comfortable seats. While that's all well and good, the mid-size three-row SUV segment is one of the most competitive segments out there. Can the Palisade afford to grow another nearly $2,000? The best way to find out is to benchmark it against two of the best to ever do it: the Toyota Grand Highlander and Honda Pilot. 0:00 / -- 2025 Nissan Z undercuts Toyota Supra by a surprising amount Watch More But first, where exactly is the Palisade going in 2026? Its base MSRP will rise to $38,935 before delivery/freight fees, up from $37,200 for the 2025 model year, or a $1,735 increase. The new hybrid Palisade starts at $43,660 and relies on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors. No matter which SUV you opt for, there's more to love than before, as the 2026 Hyundai Palisade grows 2.5 inches in length and rides on a longer wheelbase than before. According to Hyundai, that means legroom gains for second and third-row passengers. Carrying on the 'bigger is better' theme, the Palisade gains 21-inch wheels for the first time. But the 2026 Hyundai Palisade also carries on a legacy of value from its predecessor. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features, as is eight-person seating and a variety of driver assistance features, including blind-spot warning, lane keeping assistance, and navigation-based cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. A fancier dual-screen interface comprises two 12.3-inch displays, kicking off the new model's gadgetry improvements alongside which sit standard over-the-air updates and a new version of Hyundai's digital key platform. 2026 Hyundai Palisade vs. Toyota Grand Highlander Right out of the gate, we can see that the 2026 Hyundai Palisade remains competitive with the Toyota Grand Highlander. Last year's model starts at $40,860, a number that's sure to climb when 2026 details are finalized. Nearly $2,000 difference in price surely means some significant advantages elsewhere, though, right? Both models nail the basics: wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, seating for eight, and three-zone automatic climate control. Both come with nearly identical driver assistance systems as standard. Performance, too, is nearly a dead-even match. While the standard V6 in the Palisade is down on torque (260) compared to the Grand Highlander's 310 pound-feet, it makes up for it with 20 additional horsepower (287). Both offer hybrid variants, although the Palisade's 329 horsepower handily beats out the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid's 245 horsepower. Being three inches or so longer than the 2026 Hyundai Palisade means a lot more cargo space. The 2025 model touts 97.5 cubic feet of total cargo space, which is ten more than the last Palisade. Interestingly, though, with the third row in place, the two are again nearly identical, with both 2026 models offering around 20 cubic feet of cargo space. It's a mixed bag with second- and third-row space, with each offering fractional advantages in different categories. Since the 2026 Hyundai Palisade is a larger vehicle than its predecessor, we think it's safe to say that it'll certainly remain competitive with the Highlander, if not outright best it, when it comes to passenger comfort. And, for that matter, when it comes to nearly any other metric. 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander — Source: Toyota 2026 Hyundai Palisade vs. Honda Pilot The current Honda Pilot debuted in 2023, so it's due for some updates. We expect the model to remain relatively unchanged under the sheet metal, but there may be some small exterior tweaks and, very likely, an updated screen over the current base model's seven-inch touchscreen. With a base MSRP of $40,200, the Pilot skirts closer to the Toyota's base price than the Hyundai's. The standard 20-inch wheels might make you think the Pilot skews sportier, too, but it really doesn't. The V6 under the hood makes almost identical power to the Palisade's, and both can tow up to 5,000 pounds. There's no Pilot Hybrid in the immediate future. If you thought it was a close battle with the Grand Highlander, wait until you see how the Pilot's specs compare to the outgoing Palisade. The 2025 Honda Pilot offers 87 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats folded down and 18.6 cubic feet behind the third row. The outgoing Palisade offers 86.4 cubic feet of cargo space with both rows folded and 18 cubic feet behind the last row. Of course, with its dimensions growing for the 2026 model year, we expect it to beat out the Pilot, but it certainly won't be by much. As is the case with the Toyota, the Honda Pilot and the 2026 Hyundai Palisade are back and forth on second- and third-row space. 2023 Honda Pilot 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport 2025 Honda Pilot Final thoughts Despite the 2026 Hyundai Palisade gaining a substantial sticker price bump, it's clear the three-row SUV remains as competitive as ever in an especially hot market. One can argue that the Toyota Grand Highlander offers a little bit more space, and the Pilot might be a better fit for those looking for off-road thrills as you climb up the trim levels, but the 2026 Hyundai Palisade certainly remains a serious value proposition in the mid-size three-row SUV segment.
