The adaptation of the bestseller by Peter James, starring John Simm, is a beloved show that has run for five seasons.
But will it be coming back for more?
The series, which follows Brighton-based Detective Roy Grace, has now been confirmed for a sixth series
ITV has said that the production of the sixth series is now under way, and fans will be thrilled to learn of one actor defitineltey returning.

John Simm will be seen portraying Detective Superintendent Roy Grace once again.
Not only will John be at the helm, but he will rejoin forces with some of his beloved castmates.
John will reunite with Grace co-stars Richie Campbell, who appears as DI Glenn Branson, and Laura Elphinstone who plays DS Bella Moy.
Series six will deliver a slew of titles including: Left You Dead, Picture You Dead, and One Of Us Is Dead.

John has spoken out since being confirmed as making a comeback to the show for the sixth series.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to seeing where Roy's journey goes in this series."
John added: "This is the longest I've been involved in any show! But it's such a joy to do, and to be surrounded by a team like this for large chunks of the year makes it impossible to turn down."
Grace series five wrapped up on ITV1 and STV last month.
While waiting for the sixth series, viewers can stream all episodes on ITVX and STV Player.
To date, all five series of Grace have amassed 16 million streams on ITVX.

Professor T:
Based on a Belgian TV series of the same name, former Death in Paradise lead Ben Miller plays the title character. Professor Jasper Tempest is a criminologist with OCD who helps the police solve crimes. The cast also includes Emma Naomi, Barney White and Andy Gathergood.
This series follows a mother's grief for her son, who was killed in an accident. Nicholas Blake's novel of the same name has been adapted for the programme. Stars include Cush Jumbo, Jared Harris, Billy Howle and Geraldine James.
Red Eye:
Starring Richard Armitage, Jing Lusi and Lesley Sharp star in this six-part thriller, which mostly takes place during an all-night flight between London and Beijing. With dead bodies piling up and a mystery to unravel, the heroes must work fast to get to the truth.
This Australian drama originally aired as a miniseries in 2022, with the episodes dropping in the UK in February 2023. Four months later, the show was renewed for a second season. Jurassic Park star Sam Neill stars in the leading role of barrister Brett Colby.
Martin Clunes stars in this drama based on true murder investigations. Series one focused on the death of Amélie Delagrange, which took place in 2004, while the second depicted the search for serial rapist Delroy Grant.
Series five alone announces for over nine million of the aforementioned streams.
Speaking of the sixth series, executive producer Phil Hunter commented on how "thrilled" they are to be working on more episodes.
He said: "Grace is such a joy to make so we are thrilled at how well received series five was.
"It's great to be back in Brighton with our brilliant and talented cast and crew to shoot another four episodes this summer."

South Korean top court rules 'Baby Shark' not plagiarised
South Korea's top court has ruled that the globally-popular South Korean children's song 'Baby Shark' was not plagiarised, rejecting a copyright claim filed by a US-based composer. With its catchy lyrics, the "Baby Shark Dance" video is the most viewed on YouTube, with more than 16 billion views, roughly double those of the runner-up, 'Despacito', and third-place 'Wheels on the Bus'. In 2019, New York composer Johnny Only, whose legal name is Jonathan Wright, filed a lawsuit in Seoul, alleging that the 2015 hit 'Baby Shark' by South Korean education startup SmartStudy copied a song he had released in 2011. Mr Only demanded 30 million won (€18,544) in compensation, accusing the firm of copying elements of his work, including its bassline and rhythm. SmartStudy, now known as The Pinkfong Company, argued that its version was an adaptation of a classic North American children's tune that is not protected by copyright. A South Korean lower court initially cleared the company of the charges at a trial in 2021, finding that there was insufficient evidence of copyright infringement. That ruling was upheld by an appeal court in 2023. Mr Only then challenged the 2023 decision, but South Korea's Supreme Court this morning affirmed the lower court rulings. "All appeals were dismissed and the lower court's rulings were upheld," according to court documents seen by AFP. The Pinkfong Company said in a statement that the Supreme Court's decision confirmed 'Baby Shark' was "based on a traditional singalong chant that has entered the public domain". The company said it had given "a fresh twist to the chant by adding an upbeat rhythm and catchy melody, turning it into the pop culture icon it is today". Mr Only did not immediately reply to an AFP request for comment. He told Canadian public broadcaster CBC in 2019 that he had created a toddler-friendly version of 'Baby Shark' in 2011, revising the original song, which was about a gory shark attack. "I was the first one that did that (rewriting the song), you know? And basically Pinkfong's version does the same thing," he said in the interview.
