Liam Gallagher sheds bad boy vibe for quality time with mum during Oasis tour
Liam Gallagher has been spending much-needed time with mum Peggy during his Oasis reunion tour with brother Noel Gallagher. The 52-year-old singer was full rock and roll during the Nineties but swapped it for a more wholesome vibe with the highly anticipated reunion tour.
The famous brothers made up to reform Oasis after being locked in a tense feud for 16 years, much to the delight of eager fans. The group started off their string of gigs in Cardiff before moving on to Heaton Park in Manchester. And now, they're prepping for a number of sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium in London.
While on tour, Liam has been spending some quality time with his mum, Peggy, who is excited to see her sons on stage. Her other son, Paul Gallagher, will also be doing a DJ set before Oasis takes to the stage.
"Liam is incredibly close to Peggy and has loved spending time with her during the tour," a source recently said to The Sun. 'She is really looking forward to seeing all three of her boys on stage at Wembley."
The source went on to say Liam has been 'putting his head down' and 'focusing on the tour'. The Mirror have contacted Oasis' reps for comment.
It comes after Peggy was forced to miss their gigs at Heaton Park. She previously spoken about planning to see them on the Oasis Live 25 tour and still lives in Manchester, where she brought up her three sons in Burnage.
The Mirror understood that she couldn't see them at Heaton Park due issues with her health and Heaton Park being a standing venue.
An Oasis source said at the time: 'Peggy is really keen to go and see Oasis again and couldn't be more proud reading about the shows in Cardiff and Manchester.
"But her health comes first and Liam and Noel want her to be comfortable if she does come to see the band. She had a recent knee operation so needs a comfortable spot if she is going to go to one of the shows and be there for a few hours.
'They'll both be spending time with her whilst they are in Manchester but they'll hold off getting her to a show.
'Somewhere like Dublin or Wembley is a more likely venue where she can be treated like a queen with any food she wants and there is better access and transport options.'
After the Manchester gigs, the band will play Wembley as well as dates in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin. The band will then embark on a world tour.

Married at First Sight star 'was sexually assaulted on honeymoon by new partner'
A Married at First Sight star has claimed they were sexually assaulted by their newly matched partner during filming of the hit Chanel 4 reality show. The troubling claim, understood to have been made shortly after the couple returned from their lavish 'honeymoon' has prompted police investigations, The Sun reports. The report of the 'non-recent' incident was filed on June 14, but due to legal restrictions, the identities of those involved - including the police force handling the case - cannot be revealed at this stage. Shockingly, scenes involving the alleged victim have already been broadcast, sparking outrage and raising serious questions over the show's safeguarding policies. It is the latest explosive scandal to rock the controversial dating series, now in its ninth season, which matches up complete strangers to marry at first sight. They are then whisked off on a honeymoon and thrust into cohabitation. Participants are also filmed attending boozy dinner parties and dramatic commitment ceremonies - often a hotbed for emotional meltdowns and fiery confrontations. While Channel 4 initially denied receiving any complaints, the broadcaster has since admitted it is aware of the report made to police, prompting fresh scrutiny of the show's vetting procedures and duty of care. A source close to production told the newspaper that the situation is a 'nightmare scenario' for them as they have already been heavily criticised for throwing strangers together for viewers' entertainment. 'Now it's alleged someone was assaulted after tying the knot. It is a disastrous look for bosses,' the unnamed source added. Police confirmed they are investigating the matter, telling The Sun: 'We received a report of a non-recent sexual assault on June 14. Enquiries remain ongoing'. A spokesperson for Married at First Sight also confirmed they were aware of a report being made to police 'about an alleged sexual assault during the filming of a dinner party'. They added that the team take any issues on the show 'incredibly seriously' and follow strict welfare protocols when it comes to the cast. The spokesperson also reassured that support would be offered to anyone who reported an incident to authorities and that the show would participate with any investigations carried out as a result. The fresh scandal comes hot on the heels of another controversy involving contestant Alexander Henry, who appeared on the current season despite being accused of domestic abuse. Channel 4 rejected calls to axe him from the show, insisting his criminal background check had 'returned clear'.

Ellie Goulding, 38, 'goes public with new actor beau, 28, at boxing match' - after 'sharing cryptic TikTok video of him'
Ellie Goulding reportedly went public with her new love interest at a boxing match over the weekend. The singer, 38, is dating actor Beau Minniear, 28, according to The Sun and the pair attended the clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois at Wembley together on Saturday night. It comes after last week she reportedly teased a romance with him with a cryptic TikTok video posted to her socials. The publication claims she shared a clip stroking a man's arm, with the caption: 'Just a little something to take the edge off.' The video is no longer on her TikTok account. Her fans reportedly noticed that the watch the man was wearing in the clip matched one Beau regularly wears in Instagram snaps. They also reportedly noticed they both posted photos last week from the same hotel in Florence - before attending the boxing match together. A source told the publication: 'Ellie is into Beau and they have a lot of shared interests like exercise and art. 'They've been having fun together and they certainly make for an attractive couple.' A representative for Ellie has been contacted by MailOnline for comment. The Sun go on to report that Ellie is thought to have met Beau - who has a string of small acting parts in TV and film in the US - earlier this year. The singer separated from her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling in February last year and the pair are now co-parenting their five-year-old son Arthur. Late last year she then split from her boyfriend Armando Perez who she moved on with after Caspar. The musician and the surf instructor - who was eight years her junior - struck up a romance when he gave her surfing lessons as she rang in the New Year in Costa Rica. However friends of the pair told MailOnline late last year that their relationship had run its course. One said at the time: 'Amando and Ellie were very attracted to one another. Despite the age gap, they struck up an instant chemistry when he gave her private surfing lessons. 'They soon formed a bond and loved spending time together - Ellie loved hanging out on the beach with Armando to get away from everything that was going on back home after her marriage had come to an end.' 'Armando was used to spending his days instructing in the water and running around barefoot in swim shorts, and was more comfortable enjoying his "quiet life" without the "drama" of being in the public eye,' the source added. 'They had a very special time together and she visited the country a lot. But they are from very different backgrounds.' The couple met at the turn of the year when Ellie had gone to the Central American beach resort for a yoga and surf retreat with two close friends - actresses Emily Wickersham and Alessandra Ford Balazs - where they rented a swanky hillside villa. The holiday was a break for Ellie after she had in private separated from her art dealer husband Caspar. When pictures emerged of Ellie and Armando in swimsuits kissing passionately in the sea, the mother-of-one then took the decision to make public that her five-year marriage to Caspar, 33, had previously come to an end. Confirming their split on Instagram, she wrote: 'In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago. 'We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son's best interests at heart.'

The pair joined Maya Jama on Love Island Aftersun tonight to address the infamous voicenote that has gone viral on social media. Lucy explained: "So obviously, like, we've probably all done it... sent voicenotes to friends and obviously I really did trust that friend and with the Tommy situation, I was obviously saying he's a very nice boy and that's why I wanted to get to know him. "I did say till the end, but it weren't the final, I meant the end... I would like to be with him in the future. "Someone with really good morals and also before going on the show, my dad did say to me he's the kind of boy he'd like me to bring home because he's very respectful." The Liverpudlian then apologised for her "rude" comments about Megan after she branded her a "f**king little slapper". Lucy continued: "Obviously to talk about Megan as well, I should never have commented on someone I'd never met before, so I do really apologise about that because I'm not that type of girl and it was very rude of me to do that as well." Tommy then tried to defend Lucy following the backlash she's since received. He told Maya: "You said as well, at the time, we're all just characters on the screen to her. "I know you were very excited to be going on one of the biggest reality show's in the country... emotions were high and you were speaking to one of your close friends. Watch Love Island Helena's fuming reaction as Harry rates ex Emma's kiss better than hers in saucy challenge "I think it's been blown out of proportion a little bit because I've said things to my friends in group chats, which if got leaked, it might have made me look like a bad person, but it's just to your mate, you never expect everyone to listen to it." Maya insisted: "That's definitely not a good friend, I hope you blocked her after that." Lucy admitted she's no longer pals with the person who leaked it. The voice note, which was revealed last Friday, said: "I've got a phone call today by the way, saying they want to fly me out on Tuesday or Monday. "So they said to me on Sunday they'll let me know for 100 percent, but looks like I'm f**king going on one of those days. So they were like, get your stuff packed basically. "I was like, I'm already packed love. They asked me for my top three boys. "I said, Tommy, I want Tommy. I feel like if I'm with Tommy I feel like I'll get all the way to the end. "Because everyone loves him. I don't know if you've been watching it but that Megan's being sent home and I'm f**king made up. "And she's being sent home because of the way she's treated Tommy. "And do you know what, I'm made up that I've been watching it because I know how to act. "Because she's being a f**king little slapper in there. "The public have voted her out. So I just need to be left a nice girl and just f**king stick with Tommy." Irish beauty Megan Forte Clarke was axed after her love triangle with Conor Phillips and Tommy led her to be voted one of the three least popular girls by the public. The contestants then chose to evict her, along with Remell Mullins as the least popular boy. After Casa Amor, Lucy walked into the main villa holding hands with smitten Tommy, who dumped Emily Moran to be with her. Emily was left shell-shocked having stayed loyal to Tommy and given a heartfelt speech in which she said she couldn't wait to see him. Tommy told the gathered Islanders how he had a better connection with Lucy; the pair had spent the past few days glued together sharing lots of kisses. Sheepish Lucy admitted it was difficult entering the villa in such a "s****y situation". When host Maya Jama told the group that Emily was dumped from the Island.
