‘It's life': Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa on ‘non-negotiable' behind her split from Black Coffee

News24a day ago

Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has cited 'two children by two different women' as the straw that broke the camel's back in her marriage to Black Coffee.
Despite the hurt, she said she has forgiven her estranged husband, even without receiving an apology.
She urged the public to separate their artist identities from personal matters, calling for respect amid an ongoing divorce.
Fresh from her recent win at the SA Style Awards as the Most Stylish Performing Artist on TV and Film, actor and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa has once again found herself in the spotlight over her marriage to internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Black Coffee.
In a snippet that went viral from her recent interview with seasoned broadcaster and producer Relebogile Mabotja on Radio 702, Mlotshwa reflected on the highs and lows of her life, diving deep into her marriage and eventual split.
'I'm proud of how I handled my marriage. I never cheated in my marriage, not once, till the day I decided to leave because I could no longer take the punishment to myself,' she said in the interview.
Exploring the 'multi-layered' reasons behind her decision, she zoomed in on a significant dealbreaker: 'My non-negotiable were children in a marriage. Once there were two children by two different women, I said you don't love me. In fact, you're going to kill me,' she said, describing how the infidelity shattered her trust and respect.
'While I was leaving a lot of untruths. I lost a lot of respect for my partner.'
Aside from forgiving her estranged husband, the actor and fashion designer said she had also forgiven herself for forgetting her inner child and her dreams.
Further in the interview, Mlotshwa said she did not want people to leave the interview having picked sides.
'I love Black Coffee's music. I might not have a lot of respect for Nkosinathi Maphumulo, but Black Coffee is talented. He's extremely talented, and Enhle Mbali is out of the world talented, so I want people to be able to separate the two and let Enhle Mbali and Black Coffee be separate entities, but Mbalenhle Maphumulo and Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo are going through something right now, and it's a divorce, and it's not done. Allow them to get through it, you know. It's not news, it's life,' she said.
Mlotshwa's confirmation that she and her estranged Grammy-winning husband, the father of her two children, are still married came as he and his current model girlfriend, Victoria Gonzales, continue to share glimpses into their relationship on social media.
Most recently, Gonzales shared a side-by-side photo of her and Black Coffee on her Instagram stories with a photo from 2019 and 2025. In another, she shared a photo of her kissing Black Coffee's cheek and another of him kissing her forehead.
Since the announcement of the couple's split, they have made headlines for all the wrong reasons, with there being allegations of domestic violence from Mlotshwa and a protection order. Black Coffee denied the claims of abuse.
Months after the announcement of their split, Coffee said he believed he had done 'enough' to fix their marriage.
'I don't want to speak about her faults – she is the mother of my children, after all,' he said. 'Whenever I was wrong, I admitted I was wrong. We tried everything, such as seeing a therapist and a life coach, but nothing worked.'
'We have reached the point of no return. For the first time, we are understanding that we can't be together.'
In another interview with Kaya 959, he attributed their growing apart and wanting different things as a contributor to their split.
'I can safely say that we both wanted different things. Then problems start. That's why today I know for a fact that I won't get married again.'

7 Ways Aspiring Millionaires Go Wrong, According To Self-Made Business Icon Diane Gilman

Diane Gilman didn't become a millionaire in her 20s. Or her 30s. Or even her 50s. She hit her peak at 60, creating a line of jeans for middle-aged women and building a $150 million fashion empire. Now 79, Gilman is best known as the 'Jean Queen' from her two-decade run on QVC and HSN. Unconventional and inspiring, her road to success was anything but easy. Read More: Find Out: She grew up in a violent household, had a scholarship stolen from her by her parents, and battled breast cancer in her 70s. Despite it all, she never gave up on her dream. In an interview with the Seeds of Success podcast, Gilman reflected on her journey and revealed the biggest mistakes she sees aspiring millionaires make. Here's what holds most people back, and how she says to break through. Gilman's parents burned the letter informing her of a four-year scholarship. She didn't find out until she was 52. 'I could have had a totally different life,' she said. 'But I was their property.' So she struck out on her own at 17, with just a quarter in her pocket. Her message: don't wait. You'll miss your moment if you're waiting for ideal conditions or permission. Discover Next: Gilman didn't start her most successful venture until age 60. That's when she designed jeans that flattered aging bodies, something no one else was doing, and sold millions 'You're the luckiest person in the world if you get to do something every day that you're truly in love with,' she said. Her rise came decades after most people retire. Aspiring millionaires often underestimate how long it takes and how much time they still have. 'If you're going to play that comparison game,' she warned, 'you are going to mutilate your peace of mind.' Gilman says comparing yourself to younger, faster, or flashier entrepreneurs is a recipe for misery. Instead, focus on your vision and your own pace. Gilman knew from childhood that she wanted to be a designer. Even when others mocked her, she never stopped dreaming. 'I was born this way,' she said. 'From a very young age, I said, 'I want to be a fashion designer.'' Aspiring millionaires go wrong when they ignore their instincts in favor of what's 'practical.' Gilman has battled more than most poverty, rejection and cancer. Before her first chemotherapy treatment at 72, she told herself, 'Nobody likes a cranky, bitter old lady. I was going to have to be the best me I could be.' Struggle isn't a sign to stop. It's part of the path. 'Cancer was about the only thing that could stop me, or I would have just barreled through life,' she said. Ask Gilman what her most valuable possession is, and she won't say money. She'll say, time. 'How are you going to use that?' she asks. 'How are you going to take care of that and nurture it, and get something lasting? Tomorrow's not promised to us, and the past is the past.' Aspiring millionaires often waste time doubting themselves, overthinking, or chasing the wrong goals. Gilman says every minute counts. 'Most women give up somewhere toward the end of middle age,' Gilman said. But she didn't. She kept working, kept believing, and kept building even when no one else believed in her. Her final advice? 'Follow your dreams. Believe they can come true. And follow your dreams.' Diane Gilman's journey proves that success isn't about starting early; it's about refusing to stop. She didn't have the right support, education, or timing. What she had was clarity, grit, and an unshakable belief in her dreams. Whether you're 25 or 65, the takeaway is the same: don't wait for permission, don't waste time comparing, and don't give up when it gets hard. As Gilman puts it, 'Follow your dreams. Believe they can come true. And follow your dreams.' Fans Cheer Joanna Gaines on Amid a MAJOR Relationship Milestone

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Joanna Gaines is dancing through another year of love—literally. The Magnolia maven took to Instagram to reveal she's celebrating 22 years of marriage with husband Chip. Convention says a 22nd marriage anniversary is the copper year, but the dynamic duo is shaking things up with dance classes. "We've loved turning our date nights into dance nights," Joanna captioned her post, which shows sweet clips of the Fixer Upper stars getting their groove on. "We are going to need quite a few more lessons, but this is so much fun!" According to Joanna, the two have been taking classes at Arthur Murray's Waco studio—and thanks the instructors for their "patience." However, fans would agree Joanna and Chip are doing just fine on the dance floor. "You two have some MOVES," one fan commented. "Love this for you guys," another wrote. "I've been telling my husband for years that I want dance lessons!" A third even tagged Dancing With the Stars's account and asked how Chip and Joanna can join the upcoming season. While some people were quick to comment on their dancing skills, the majority of fans praised the Fixer Upper stars for being the ultimate power couple. One fan even called them, "America's favorite couple." So, the question everyone's wondering, what's their secret to a long-term marriage? Well, it's changed over the years. 'Our secret ingredient to our marriage and working relationship is a solid mutual respect," Chip said in 2022. 'We definitely disagree. It's not perfect. A lot of hard work goes into this, but if you can get to a mutual place of respect, you can change the world.' Recently, however, Joanna shared working out together has made their bond "stronger." But, if you ask us, a willingness to grow remains at the core of their foundation. "Here's to learning new things the older we get," Joanna wrote at the end of her post. Moisés Nieto Spain Fall 2025 Collection

This season, Moisés Nieto celebrated the 15th anniversary of his brand, but instead of a lavish runway show, the designer opted for something more meaningful: an intimate dinner attended by a small group of press and many of his longtime friends. 'In the end, I feel like fashion shows have become cold spectacles,' said Nieto. 'There's no time to talk, people are in a rush. You bare your soul, and then it's over in a second. I wanted something different: to see the faces around me and, above all, to celebrate slowly.' In this more relaxed and private setting, the designer revisited some of the standout pieces and patterns that have made him a household name in Spanish fashion. The lineup included his signature trench coats, masculine outerwear, and midi dresses in a palette of neutral tones and beiges. 'When I started, I didn't have any business mindset. You'd present 40 looks, and the pieces the buyers wanted would always repeat. That's how I learned which designs work and which don't. You learn a lot from your customers.' Today, those customers are more loyal than ever to his unmistakable craft.
