Oasis at Manchester Heaton Park set list for Sunday July 20

Yahoo4 days ago
Oasis have now bid farewell to Heaton Park following their stellar run of Manchester shows this past week.
Their five performances at Heaton Park will have attracted close to 350,000 fans across the five dates and have been hailed as a big return to form for the iconic local band. The Live '25 tour marks the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher have reunited on stage in nearly 16 years, following their split in 2009.
But when they announced last summer they were coming back, it sent fans in a frenzy to secure tickets. Some ten million people tried to secure tickets for their run of UK and Ireland shows, as fans came up against inflated ticket prices due to dynamic pricing and other sales issues.

Heaton Park became a fan frenzy - both inside and outside of the fenced stage area - with an area iconically dubbed 'Gallagher Hill' also proving a hit with ticketless fans hoping to get a glimpse from outside the park.
Thankfully, the set list for the 2025 tour appealed fans thanks to a mixture of some of their most anthemic hits, fan favourites and popular B-Sides. Of course, they wouldn't get away from playing Wonderwall or Don't Look Back In Anger.
Following the conclusion of Manchester shows, Oasis will nowplay Wembley Stadium in London across five dates between July 25 and August 3. They'll also play Edinburgh and Dublin before heading out on a string of international dates later this year.

When someone like Ozzy Osbourne passes away, there's always a lot of interest in the details of the funeral and the tributes being paid. Osbourne, who died on July 22, 2025, is being remembered for his legendary singing career, which included his time as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which time he was known as the Prince of Darkness. There was that time he bit the head off a bat. And a dove. And who can forget his time in that MTV reality show alongside his second wife Sharon and his youngest kids. But there's also a lot of interest in his funeral, when it will take place and who will be present. Related: Who are Ozzy Osbourne's kids? When is Ozzy Osbourne's funeral? Osbourne is expected to have a small private funeral, though that might not be all. A source told The Sun: 'There are conversations about a celebration of his life in Birmingham, the city that meant so much to him.' Indeed, after the news of Osbourne's death was announced, flowers were left and vigils held at Birmingham's Black Sabbath Bridge and Bench, as well as at a mural honoring the band. No date has yet been announced. 'Artists like Yungblud, who was seen by Ozzy as a musician who could carry on the mantle of what he started all those years ago, is expected to have a role in it,' the source added. Dominic Richard Harrison, known professionally as Yungblud, is an English singer, songwriter and actor. He has released an EP, titled Yungblud, followed by his first full-length album, titled 21st Century Liability. He performed 'Changes' at Black Sabbath's last concert. 'There are hundreds of big names who will want to pay their respects and celebrate his life and legacy, as well as thousands of fans who would line the streets to say goodbye,' the source also told the outlet. Just a couple of weeks ago, Osbourne performed in the Back To The Beginning concert, which was seen at the time as a way to say goodbye. Before the charity show, Osbourne himself said, 'It's my final encore — my chance to say thank you to my fans.' The concert raised £140million for different charities including Birmingham's Acorns Children's Hospice, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Cure Parkinson's. A fan who was at the concert, Jake Brookes, told the outlet: 'He got to say goodbye and we got to say goodbye back,' adding. 'There was not a dry eye at Villa Park. And for him to do it at home meant the world to him, meant the world to fans, and it was a mutual thank you and respect.' Meanwhile, Trevor Johnson, Chief Executive of Acorns, said the concert 'showed what he was about.' He explained. 'It showed the impact that he's had right across the world from here in the West Midlands and I think it was a fitting end to an extraordinary life.' A book of condolences is being opened at Villa Park, but the reaction from fans and people who knew him alike shows why a tribute is a very good idea. Store issues exciting name change update after petition backed by Oasis frontman

As Greater Manchester is still revelling in the glow of Britpop band Oasis playing five homecoming gigs at Heaton Park, a Prestwich supermarket has today issued an exciting update to mark the occasion. The Aldi story on Bury New Road had temporarily changed its signage to 'Aldeh' last month as a cheeky nod to the Gallagher brothers famous Mancunian accents ahead of the Oasis Live '25 tour. Fan Ella Curtis launched a petition last week to make the change permanent, citing it as a 'cultural landmark in the making'. She dubbed the Burnage band as 'one of the most iconic bands this city has ever produced'. The online page accrued more than 1,300 signatures and had backing from Bury South MP Christian Wakeford. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher shared a picture of the sign on his social media stories and his 25-year-old niece Anaïs publicly supported the move on TikTok. Get the latest news delivered straight to your inbox by signing up to the Bury Times morning newsletter as well as our breaking news alerts. Ella says that the 'Aldeh' sign reflects the area's music heritage in a way that feels authentic, local and proud', adding that it has become a 'symbol and reminder of how we, as Mancunians all came together to celebrate of the biggest reunion concerts from one of the world's biggest bands happening right on our doorstep." The global supermarket brand agreed and has issued an update sharing the name change will now be permanent following the outpouring of public support. The Prestwich store is a short walk from Heaton Park and the sign is now even listed on Google Maps as a cultural landmark, complete with five star reviews. Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK said: 'We've been blown away by the public's reaction to 'Aldeh'. What started as a fun, temporary tribute to Oasis and the local accent has turned into something far bigger. 'We've heard shoppers loud and clear, and we're absolutely delighted to keep the sign up for the long haul. It's been brilliant to see the joy it's brought to fans and the Manchester community.' 'The response has been supersonic, with Oasis fans and proud Mancunians visiting the store to see it for themselves. 'Last week, a petition was launched by a local resident calling for us to keep the sign. So naturally, we took to social media to see what our shoppers thought, turns out… people are mad for it and want the sign to stay. 'I'm pleased to announce that we'll be keeping the Aldeh sign as a tribute to Manchester! 'As you were.'
