Man slashes ex-wife's partner, jealousy suspected
SUBANG JAYA: A 47-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he was allegedly assaulted and slashed by three men, including the ex-husband of his partner, at an apartment in Taman Puchong Intan this morning.
Subang Jaya deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Fairus Jaafar said police received a distress call from a woman at 2.15am saying that her partner was attacked by her ex-husband and two other men.
"Preliminary investigations found that the victim has been living with the former wife of one of the suspects at the residence."
The ex-husband and two male friends allegedly arrived at the residence and attacked the victim using a knife and an iron rod, inflicting multiple injuries to the head and body.
"All three suspects have been identified, aged between 30 and 40."
Fairus said the victim was taken to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital and was in stable condition.
"The motive of the attack is believed to be jealousy and domestic issues.
"Efforts to locate and arrest the suspects are ongoing."
The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using dangerous weapons. If convicted, the suspects face up to 20 years in prison, a fine or whipping.

After the incident, the suspect was taken to the Kluang police headquarters' Narcotics Crime Investigation Division for a urine test. The suspect also has a criminal record. The case is being investigated under Section 44(1)(a) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for self-administering dangerous drugs.

Police detain Singaporean for road rage incident in Skudai
JOHOR BAHRU: Police arrested a 40-year-old Singaporean man after he was involved in a road rage incident and alleged vandalism against another car around Tun Aminah, Skudai yesterday. Johor Bahru Utara (North) police chief ACP Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh said after a 31-year-old local man lodged a report about the incident at 3.01 pm, a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Johor Bahru Utara police headquarters (IPD) arrested the suspect at about 6.20 pm yesterday (June 8) and made several seizures. 'The complainant stated that while driving his BMW at 2.39pm in the Tun Aminah area, he was honked at by a Toyota Altis with a Singapore registration number, whose driver was dissatisfied because his path was blocked. An argument ensued and the suspect allegedly kicked the complainant's car, causing damage. However, the complainant did not suffer any injuries,' he said in a statement today. Balveer Singh said the suspect had no previous criminal record and tested negative for drugs. He said the suspect would be brought to the Johor Bahru Court tomorrow (June 9) for a remand application for the case to be investigated under Section 426 of the Penal Code (for mischief and damage of property) and Section 509 of the Penal Code (utterance of insult).
