Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) further elevated its product lineup by introducing new SX+ variant to its Futuristic. Ferocious sedan, the Hyundai VERNA. Available in both manual and the widely acclaimed Hyundai iVT transmission, the VERNA SX+ offers customers a more versatile and feature-rich driving experience.
In addition to expanding the VERNA range, HMIL also introduced the new Wired to Wireless Adapter engineered to provide seamless wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto access across seven of its models - Grand i10 NIOS, EXTER, VERNA, AURA, VENUE, VENUE N Line and ALCAZAR. One in three Hyundai buyers opt for digital key over traditional keys

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Tuesday said one in three of its customers enrolled for the company's digital key feature, signalling a shift in consumer preference towards tech-enabled convenience . According to the company press release, 33 per cent of eligible car buyers have opted for the feature within a year of its rollout. Launched in September 2024 with the Hyundai Alcazar and expanded to the Creta Electric in January 2025, the digital key allows owners to lock, unlock and start their vehicles using smartphones, smartwatches, or a dedicated NFC card. 'As the first OEM to launch connected car technology in India back in 2019, we remain committed to democratising premium features for Indian customers,' said Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, HMIL. The automaker said that the feature is currently offered in select variants of the Alcazar and Creta Electric, with plans to expand its availability across more models in the future. Hyundai noted that 68 per cent of digital key users are on iOS devices, while 32 per cent are on Android. Notably, 35 per cent of users are actively sharing access with family and friends, highlighting the utility of the technology. The digital key is created through Hyundai's Bluelink app and can be securely shared with up to three people or linked to seven devices at a time. It removes the need for carrying a physical key and offers added security with the ability to revoke access anytime.

It enables users to generate a virtual key on their mobile device using the Hyundai Bluelink app, replacing the need of a physical key. Owners can create their Digital Key on compatible smartphones, smartwatches, or via a dedicated NFC card available as an accessory. Once set up, the key can be securely shared with family, friends, or drivers - and revoked anytime for added control. Additionally, it eliminates the stress of misplacing the physical key. Real World Convenience With select variants of Hyundai ALCAZAR and Hyundai CRETA Electric featuring this innovation since September 2024 and January 2025 respectively, users can: • Tap their compatible smartphone, smartwatch or dedicated NFC card on the door handle to lock / unlock • Place the device on the front wireless charger pad to start the car • Share the key with up to 3 users or 7 linked devices at a time Such intuitive use has led to widespread sharing among family and friends, adding convenience and versatility.
