The jathedar reiterated that previous decisions taken by the SGPC were in line with Sikh tenets, and scholars unanimously agreed that the resolutions remain valid.
During the meeting, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee resolutions adopted in 1934, 1940, 2003, 2015, and 2022 concerning films on religious topics were reviewed, and it was agreed that future decisions must align with these precedents.
A release issued by the Akal Takht secretariat stated that the scholars pointed out that current technological trends pose serious challenges to Sikh identity, traditions, principles, and philosophy. In this context, it is essential to preserve and promote traditional modes of religious outreach through oral traditions, Gurdwaras, and Sikh institutions.
He announced that a committee would soon be formed to prepare a draft policy after evaluating the suggestions and related aspects, and a formal framework would be created in collaboration with the SGPC.

Jathedar appeals for peace amid border tensions
Akal Takht officiating jathedar Giani Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj expressed concern over the tensions between India and Pakistan, stating that war is not a solution to any problem and that the message of peace, love, and brotherhood must be upheld. Expressing concern over the condition of families stranded at the Attari international border, he said, "Mothers are crying for their children, and children for their mothers." Wars, he said, have never solved any issues and have only brought devastation to humanity, animals, and the environment. Regarding the water dispute with Haryana, he said that Punjab holds the first right over its waters. He emphasized that this is not merely an issue of drinking water but a matter of preventing Punjab from turning barren. Water can only be given to Haryana if Punjab has a surplus, he said.

On June 9, she took to her social media platforms and denied all allegations that have been circulating against the model. IC Markets Start Now Undo While detailing the matter, she also shared that Jong Suk had been suffering from financial issues, as he had become a victim of an investment scam. She shared that 'He was under extreme financial and emotional distress due to an investment scam committed by an acquaintance. Not only did he lose his entire fortune, but he also fell into debt from the fraud, making daily life difficult. He was exhausted from these circumstances and had been deep in thought for some time.' Allegations surrounding ex-girlfriend's abuse denied His sister also provided further detail about what happened that day to clarify any speculations. She stated that: 'Jong Suk and his girlfriend were drinking separately with their own acquaintances. When he couldn't reach her, he became worried and went to her home with a friend. Later, when his girlfriend woke up, there was no unilateral assault or rampage — just a simple argument between the couple.' She then continued in her statement that while a soju bottle indeed was broken at the scene, it was done so by accident. Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt appear in special cameos. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Interestingly, the film was released with two different versions — Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each with a different climax, playing simultaneously across India and international markets, a move that is meant to encourage repeat viewings. The Hindu's review of the film called it 'entertainment for imbeciles,' stating, 'Director Tarun Mansukhani falters in carrying forward the unapologetic tone set by Sajid Khan. Hailing from the Dharma school, Tarun cocks a snook at animal lovers, generates racist jokes, and lets the camera loose on the cleavage but his heavy-handed approach results in diminishing returns. It is like descending into the gutter with the confidence that the clothes will remain unspoiled. The strand of suspense thriller is more potent, but the comic element does not serve it effectively.'
