Should Celtic cash in on Kuhn amid Leipzig links?

It would not be a summer transfer window without one of Celtic's key men being linked with a big-money move away from Parkhead.
RB Leipzig are the latest club to be linked with having an interest in winger Nicolas Kuhn, with a figure of £15m mooted.

Despite a dip in form in 2025, the 25-year-old still managed 21 goals and 15 assists across all competitions as Celtic secured a Scottish Premiership and League Cup double last term.
Signed from Rapid Vienna on a five-and-a-half-year deal in January 2024, Kuhn still has four years left to run on his current contract.
You assume that would mean Celtic will demand a significant fee for the German forward if he is to depart, but how would you address the situation?
With reports suggesting new winger Benjamin Nygren is on the way, should the club look to cash in on Kuhn? Or is he too good to let go this summer?

Report: Wirtz to undergo medical checks with Liverpool on Friday

Germany's Florian Wirtz looks dejected after the UEFA Nations League semi final soccer match between Germany and Portugal at Allianz Arena. Christian Charisius/dpa Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz is to undergo medical checks with Liverpool on Friday ahead of completing his transfer to the Premier League champions, the online news portal The Athletic reported on Monday. Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee of €136.3 million ($157.9 million) with €117.5 million due upfront and a further €18.8 million in potential add-ons to sign the Germany international. Advertisement It represents a club-record purchase for Liverpool and sale for Leverkusen, and would be a British transfer record if the add-ons are achieved. Leverkusen had reportedly set a €150 million fee for the 22-year-old talent, which Liverpool didn't plan to meet. Wirtz has a contract with Leverkusen until June 2027. He had also been targeted by German champions Bayern Munich, but the Bavarians were informed that he preferred a move to Liverpool.

Ben Shelton gives the U.S. 3 men in the ATP top 10 for the first time since 2006

LONDON — Ben Shelton rose two spots to No. 10 in the ATP rankings, joining No. 4 Taylor Fritz and No. 8 Tommy Paul to give the United States three men in the top 10 for the first time in nearly 20 years. In April 2006, Andy Roddick was No. 4, James Blake was No. 7, and Andre Agassi was No. 10. There are four American women in the WTA's top 10 again, and five in the top 13: No. 2 Coco Gauff, No. 3 Jessica Pegula, No. 6 Madison Keys, No. 9 Emma Navarro and No. 13 Amanda Anisimova. Aryna Sabalenka remains at No. 1, a spot she took over in October from Iga Swiatek, who dropped to No. 8. Tatjana Maria, a 37-year-old German, rose 43 spots to No. 43 by winning the Queen's Club title as a qualifier. The 22-year-old Shelton, who won the 2022 NCAA singles title for the University of Florida, only is in his third full season on tour. He'd never traveled out of the U.S. until 2023. Shelton is a two-time Grand Slam semifinalist, making it that far at the U.S. Open in 2023 and the Australian Open this January. Fritz moved up three spots to match his career high after winning a grass-court title at Stuttgart, Germany. The top three men remained the same: No. 1 Jannik Sinner, No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and No. 3 Alexander Zverev, the runner-up to Fritz in Stuttgart.

Tijjani Reijnders draws inspiration from Ilkay Gündogan in search for more goals

Photograph: Carmen Mandato/FIFA/Getty Images Tijjani Reijnders aims to emulate Ilkay Gündogan as a goalscoring No 8 for Manchester City after his €55m (£46.6m) move from Milan last week. Reijnders has been signed by Pep Guardiola to be a dynamic box‑to‑box midfielder and the 26-year-old Dutchman is clear regarding who he will look to at City. 'Gündogan is someone I can learn a lot from,' he said. 'It's nice to see him nearby and the way he does it.' It's very important to score goals as a midfielder and it's what I'm looking for; that and assists.' Reijnders scored 10 times in 37 Serie A appearances in the past season, a sizeable increase on three in 36 in the previous campaign. In all competitions he scored 15 times in 2024‑25, compared with four in 2023-24. 'The first season at Milan I wasn't calm in my head when I had opportunities and it was something I was thinking about in the summer after,' he said. Advertisement 'I watched clips of myself when I got into those situations and tried to adapt to those kinds of things in the second season, to be calmer in front of goal. The No 8 position is why they [City] got me. Now I have to fill the No 8 and do my best to show that I should play.' City begin their Club World Cup campaign against the Moroccan side Wydad at Philadelphia's Lincoln Field on Wednesday, before taking on Al Ain, of the United Arab Emirates, and Juventus in their other Group G games. Reijnders said: 'We take it very seriously. We want to win every tournament we play. This is nothing different. 'It's going to be hard, there are a lot of good teams and the weather is very hot. We're getting used to it and we'll be ready for Wednesday.' Advertisement With Rayan Aït-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki also signing this summer, and Kevin De Bruyne departing, Reijnders was asked whether there is a sense of a fresh start at City. 'De Bruyne left but the base is still there,' he said. 'You see what the standards are in training and outside the pitch. The boys are helping me with it all and it gives me a good feeling. 'You can always have a season like they did last season [winning nothing], after all those years – after they won four [Premier League titles] in a row, for example – and it's up to us now to change that now and win prizes.'
