BREAKING NEWS Caitlin Clark's teammate DeWanna Bonner 'has no interest' in playing for Indiana Fever again and wants a trade

Daily Mail6 hours ago

The Indiana Fever roster looks set for a reshuffle after it emerged that DeWanna Bonner is desperate for a trade away from the team.
Bonner was only signed by the team in February on a one-year deal - at the time, it seemed a smart move to put Caitlin Clark with the two-time WNBA champion as the Fever tried to build on her stunning rookie year.
But so far, the Fever are yet to hit top form and are 6-7 before Tuesday night's game against Seattle Storm. They have not been helped by Clark missing two weeks with a thigh issue.
But hours before Clark and her team hit the court on the west coast, Front Office Sports claimed Bonner 'has no interest' in playing for the Fever again after being ruled out of first-team action for personal reasons.
She started the first three games and then was benched in favor of Lexie Hull before the team said that issues away from the court had ruled her out.
As per FoS, Bonner would favor a trade to either Atlanta Dream or the Phoenix Mercury.

George Kittle reveals the wild NFL training method that impacts player's sex lives

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle recently gushed about his use of a revolutionary training method which has a bizarre side effect which positively impacts his sex life. On a recent appearance on the podcast 'Bussin With the Boys', Kittle spoke about his use of a Vasper machine to help improve his recovery. The Vasper system is a recumbent workout bike with pumping handles which requires users to place straps across their body to restrict blood flow. By doing this on a users legs, arms, and neck, it stimulates the pituitary gland into thinking that they've completed an intense, hours-long workout. In reality, it's only suggested to use the machine for 21 minutes. Among the benefits of the machine, it tricks the brain into thinking there's excess inflammation throughout the body - stimulating the production of testosterone to improve recovery, muscle growth, and more. But it also has one positive side effect for more intimate moments, as Kittle revealed. The Vasper bike tricks the body into producing more testosterone, which aids in recovery 'I do it a little bit during OTA's, but as soon as I get back in the summer, it's like my cardio every day at the end of my workout,' the tight end said. 'It also knocks you the f**k out at night, unconscious. You sleep so well, and you have wild dreams, too. It's awesome.' But there's another side effect, as Kittle reveals: 'The main selling point is you blow huge loads. 'That's how it was sold to players. It was like, "Look, it boosts your testosterone, you sleep really well, you're going to feel great... and you also blow huge loads."' Kittle didn't buy it at first: 'I was like "Oh, that's bulls**t". Not bulls**t. And then that rumor started going around.' Kittle has been married to his wife, Claire, since April 2019 after meeting at the University of Iowa. Claire previously discovered she was pregnant on Christmas Day 2023, but tragically found out the pregnancy was ectopic - requiring surgery to save her life. However, the couple were named godparents to the son of the family of Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg. George has been seen holding the boy, Felix, at times when Filip is playing hockey.

Flamengo progress despite being held to 1-1 draw by LA FC

ORLANDO, Florida, June 24 (Reuters) - Misfiring Flamengo were held to a 1-1 draw by Los Angeles FC in their final group match at the Club World Cup on Tuesday but the Brazilian side still go into the knockout stage with some momentum. Denis Bouanga put the MLS club ahead in the 84th minute but substitute Wallace Yan responded two minutes later to ensure Flamengo would progress unbeaten to their last-16 tie against Bayern Munich in Miami on Sunday. With top spot in Group D already assured, Flamengo coach Filipe Luis made seven changes to his starting side but there was no change to the energetic style that already earned the Rio de Janeiro club wins over Chelsea and Esperance. With a little more accuracy in front of goal, they would have comfortably beaten an LA FC side who were already condemned to a group stage exit after losing their first two games without scoring a goal. Bouanga had ploughed a lonely furrow as the lone striker all evening but pounced when his chance came from Tom Tillman's quickly taken free kick, slotting the ball between the legs of Agustin Rossi for his team's first goal of the tournament. The Flamengo fans were silenced but Jorginho, who had come on as a substitute only minutes before Bouanga's goal, found Yan with an incisive pass and the 20-year-old skipped into the box past four defenders and slid the ball past Hugo Lloris. The woodwork played more of a role than either goalkeeper in the first half with Flamengo's Danilo, Giorgian de Arrascaeta and Pedro all hitting the frame of the goal along with LA FC's Marky Delgado. Flamengo continued to dominate possession with their calm passing game in the second half and it looked only a matter of time before the breakthrough came. Lloris, however, pulled off a world-class save to deny Everton, Pedro sent the ball over the bar with an acrobatic bicycle kick, and de Arrascaeta hit the woodwork for the second time with a rasping shot that came down off the bar.

Reds rally late, walk off Yankees in extras

June 25 - Christian Encarnacion-Strand tied the game with a three-run double in the seventh inning and Gavin Lux singled home Elly De La Cruz with the winning run in the 11th as the Cincinnati Reds rallied for a wild 5-4 walk-off win over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night. Spencer Steer tied the game with a single in the 11th and Lux won it to give Cincinnati its fifth straight win over the Yankees dating back to 2023. Connor Phillips (1-0) earned his second career win despite allowing the Yankees to take a 4-3 lead on a wild pitch with one out in the 11th inning that allowed Aaron Judge to easily score. Mark Leiter Jr. (4-4) pitched a scoreless 10th but surrendered the lead in the 11th to take the loss. The Reds won for the first time in 31 games when trailing after six innings. The game featured an electrifying debut of one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, the ejection of Yankees star third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. for arguing balls and strikes in the ninth and loud cheers and jeers between Reds and Yankees fans. Chase Burns, Cincinnati's top pitching prospect and the second overall pick of the 2024 MLB draft, opened his career in blazing fashion on a steamy night in Cincinnati. Burns struck out the side swinging in the first inning, including Aaron Judge to end the inning. In doing so, he became just the second Reds pitcher in the live-ball era (since 1920) to strike out the side in the first inning of his MLB debut, joining Mo Sanford in 1991. The right-hander then became just the third pitcher since 1961 to strike out each of the first 5 batters he faced while making his debut, joining Wade Davis for the Rays in 2009 and Al Leiter for the Yankees in 1987. Trent Grisham whiffed against Burns to end the third, as Burns completed his first three innings without a run. Burns allowed three runs on six hits in his five innings, striking out eight and walking none on 81 pitches, joining Johnny Cueto as the only two Reds pitchers since 1900 with at least eight strikeouts and no walks in their MLB debut. But Ben Rice launched a 427-foot home run on the first pitch of the fourth to give the Yankees a 1-0 lead. Judge and Chisholm singled before Anthony Volpe tripled both runners home when center fielder TJ Friedl couldn't smother the ball and it rolled to the wall for a 3-0 Yankees advantage. Yankees starter Carlos Rodon was in line to earn the win, tossing six shutout innings on four hits and one walk, striking out five on 89 pitches. But reliever Jonathan Loaisiga was touched for three straight hits following a walk with one out in the seventh, capped by Encarnacion-Strand's three-run double down the left field line to tie the game at 3. Loaisiga was seen by medical staff and manager Aaron Boone prior to the double and left with the training staff following Encarnacion-Strand's game-tying hit. --Field Level Media
