Despite the LC being heralded as one of the best-looking motors of the modern era by car lovers, the LC will reportedly be discontinued after the 2026 model year.
The popular Japanese manufacturer has been selling the convertible since 2018.
TFL car explained that while the LC has received a few minor updates along the way, what makes the motor is the styling, as well as its 471-horsepower 6.0-liter V8.
Clarkson told The Sunday Times that the LC's engine "is just the most brilliant," in 2020
The ex Top Gear star said: "The Lexus sets off on a creamy, seamless wave of horsepower, which fills your head with serotonin and dopamine and all the other brain chemicals you need to stay alive and intelligent."
He has also praised the Lexus 5-litre V8 engine before when it was used in the GS F.
According to The Sunday Times, he likened the engine's sound to a "lonely wolf," and said he "liked it a very lot."
Creative Trend reported that the automaker is sending out the LC in the home market with a special 'Pinnacle Edition'
Lexus are only planning to manufacture 100 units each of the coupe and convertible, which will reportedly go to Japanese customers.
It plans to sell half of the limited run to current interested owners, and the other half to the general public.
New Nissan Leaf tested - it's bigger, better and goes further
According to the report, the coupe will have a matte silver look, while the convertible will be a Neutrino Gray with a sand-coloured top, however, images of the new vehicle are yet to be released.
It has also been reported that this edition will come with a carbon fibre rear spoiler, red break calipers, and distinct 21-inch alloy wheels.
This will be their last car to come out with a V8 engine
In response to this discontinuation, Yahoo autos said: 'Far too many V8 cars are disappearing these days, including the Lexus LC 500, if a new report is to be believed.
'While it is sad news we would love not to be true, the writing has been on the wall for a while, so we are not surprised.'

Trucks and Tuks: Decorated Vehicles of South Asia
A pair of kajal (kohl) laden eyes, a colourful parandi (tassel), a soaring bird or even revered gods and goddesses – such symbols are painted by self-taught artists on to the trucks and tuks of the Indian subcontinent. All carry with them a story, personal to the individual driver, yet shared within a collective consciousness of myths, fables, faiths and traditions. Photograph: Christopher Herwig The average Indian goods truck covers about 300km a day, with drivers spending most of the year away from their family and friends. Provided government regulations don't intervene, the extent to which a truck or vehicle might be decorated is unrestricted. For a driver, the truck isn't simply a carrier of goods, but their very own dulhan (bride). Consequently, trucks are embellished with bridal symbols and cab interiors mimic bridal rooms – stuffed full of colourful fabrics, parandis, mirrors, pom-poms and tassels. Photograph: Christopher Herwig The designs reflect a driver's identity, faith and aspirations and span a bewildering range of themes: ideals of masculinity might be intertwined with expressions of love and longing, while bold typography urges drivers to blow their horns, or promotes a campaign for the education of girls. Photograph: Christopher Herwig Sajavat (ornamentation and decoration) has long been an essential part of everyday life across South Asia. It can be found not only on vehicles, but also adorning well-decorated homes, as in the flowering motifs of alpana (traditional folk) designs, or the heavily embroidered traditional kantha (quilts). Photograph: Christopher Herwig The scale, extravagance and intention of the designs vary depending on the origins of the truck, as well as the driver's nationality and cultural background. In parts of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, miniature portrayals of idyllic landscapes, such as peasants harvesting crops, or riverside vistas complete with coconut palms, are usually painted on the sides of a truck, or on small niches at the rear. Photograph: herwig/Christopher Herwig Some decorations display evocative scenes from folklore or media. Photograph: Christopher Herwig In Pakistan, Islamic fundamentalists belonging to the FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), Swat and Dir districts constantly pressure drivers to remove human and animal imagery from the trucks, driving truck artists out of these areas and shutting down their workshops. The fear of persecution or having their cargos looted or damaged has forced drivers with painted and embellished trucks out of these regions, while new trucks, decorated in abstract, minimal designs, have replaced them. Photograph: Christopher Herwig Between the 1950s and the 1980s truck art developed considerably, encompassing popular South Asian aesthetics alongside evolving traditional motifs. This was particularly reflected in the practice of filling every inch of a 'canvas', inspired by the way Indian and Pakistani cinema billboards had become louder in appearance. These in turn, had been influenced by the Pop Art and psychedelic movements which had arrived from the west in the 1960s. The first vehicles to be painted in this fashion were the mini-buses of Karachi. The approach quickly transferred to local trucks, the range of decoration continually expanding. Photograph: Christopher Herwig The fusion of folk and popular traditions, both accidental and intentional, is significant. In rickshaw art, the ancient folk traditions of Bangladesh (which are derived from the intermingling of the Ajanta and Tibetan traditions) are combined with local designs to develop new forms of urban vernacular folk art. Photograph: Christopher Herwig This use of a shared visual language is also visible in the appropriation of symbols and portraits such as those of the Sikh gurus and saints, adopted by the Muslim drivers in Pakistan, to portray their own prominent Sufi saints and ulma , scholars of Islamic law and theology. Photograph: Christopher Herwig Vehicle art continues to evolve in unexpected directions, incorporating and juxtaposing influences from numerous, sometimes seemingly contrasting worlds. With no formal artistic education (in most instances) many artists are taught on the job, training under an ustad (master artist). They learn to develop their individual imagination using ephemera from their immediate surroundings; posters, picture books, calendars, and so on, as inspiration. With this inexhaustible supply of material, they are able to produce new hybrids, while adding unique variations to established motifs. Photograph: Christopher Herwig At any given moment a vibrant collection of colours, poetry and totems can be found travelling the roads and highways. These living, breathing, moving metaphors traverse the narrowest of mountain turns and muddiest of tracks – the arteries that keep the Indian subcontinent alive. Photograph: Christopher Herwig

Genesis Launches Lavish 2025 G90 Lease Offer for August
Equal luxury for less Can a full-size luxury sedan be a bargain? It can when it's the 2025 Genesis G90, the first Hyundai luxury model that truly rivals the Lexus LS, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The G90 offers many standard features that you'll pay extra for elsewhere, and its distinctive appearance has the presence required for a luxury chariot. Once inside, you'll find it's richly decorated with an appearance that's far more refined, yet just as indulgent, as the cabins found in the S-Class, 7 Series, or LS. 2025 Genesis G90 — Source: Genesis Power comes from a 375-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends it power to all four wheels on the 3.5T grade. It's also offered with an electric supercharger that boosts output to 409 horsepower in E-SC MHEV trim. A pair of 12.3-inch screens dominates the instrument panel along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Bang and Olufsen audio system. It makes for quite a ride, one that's offered with a special lease in August. 2025 Genesis G90 — Source: Genesis The 2025 Genesis G90 lease deal, August 2025 You can lease a 2025 G90 3.5T for $1,229 per month for 36 months and 30,000 miles, with $6,999 due at lease signing, in the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, Dallas, or the Mid-Atlantic region. In Southern California, Miami, or the Northeast, the monthly cost will be $1,099 with a $6,999 down payment for the same 36-month/30,000-mile lease. 2025 Genesis G90 — Source: Genesis Any dealer contribution will affect the final price, which includes a $750 acquisition fee. No security deposit is required. In addition, Genesis is offering $1,000 customer bonus towards the lease of a G90 in dealer stock. Figures do not include tax, title, license, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance, or other fees. The disposition fee is $400 for most states. This lease offer ends September 2, 2025. Prefer $0 Down? Of course, some may not have that kind of cash handy. If you'd rather avoid a big down payment, you'll find that this lease will cost around $1,389 in the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, Dallas, or the Mid-Atlantic region, and $1,263 in Southern California, Miami, or the Northeast. Keep in mind that, when leasing, consider the monthly payment cost, taxes, and fees before signing. Lease offers vary by metro market. Check your local pricing here. 2025 Genesis G90 — Source: Genesis Final thoughts While the 2025 Genesis G90 may lack some of the panache of longstanding rivals from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus, it makes up for it with more standard equipment for the money. The Genesis is a wonderful indulgence, with a distinctive presence, lavish comfort, and seamless performance that makes any drive well worth it. *Disclaimer: This article is provided for informational purposes only. 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB For Sale With Just 10,000 Miles
By signing up I agree to the Terms of Use and acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Policy . You may unsubscribe from email communication at anytime. One of the most prolific Mercedes-Benz engines, the 3.5-liter V6 is usually pretty solid, but not always. The Ferrari 488 is one of the brand's most well-known models The Ferrari 488 GTB came out in 2015 as the replacement for the similarly styled 458. It was the first Ferrari to use a mid-mounted turbocharged V8 since the F40, and spawned numerous variants and one-offs during its five-year production span. One such 488 is for sale on Exotic Car Trader, and you can check out the listing by clicking here. The Ferrari 488 GTB used a twin-turbo 3.9L V8 with an all-aluminum dry sump. In the regular GTB and Spider variants, it made 661 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque through a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ferrari claimed a 0-60 mph time of 3 seconds flat, with a blazing top speed of 205 mph. Bringing all of those horses to a stop takes some effort, but it's a task that's handily taken care of by the carbon-ceramic brakes derived from technology used in the LaFerrari. With massive 398 mm discs up front and 360 mm discs at the back, Ferrari claimed that the 488 has up to 9% reduced braking distance compared to the previous 458. 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB — Source: Exotic Car Trader Visually, the 488 draws inspiration from the 458, with the same sleek lines, wide haunches, and elongated headlamps that find their way up the front fender. The rear fenders give way to two massive air ducts on each side, with a central piece that gives them a look similar to a flying buttress. The rear end is equally as curvy, with rounded taillights at either end that share a space with the exits of the fender air ducts. Thinking about selling your car? Get a value estimate and list it online with Exotic Car Trader. Click here to learn more. A formula as classic as peanut butter and jelly This particular 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB boasts just over 10,000 miles on the odometer as well as the Carbon Fiber Racing Package, draping bits like the exterior air ducts, steering wheel, and parts of the dashboard in carbon fiber. That exterior is finished in the classic Ferrari shade of Rosso Corsa with 20″ forged dark painted wheels. The cabin is finished in a contrasting Nero leather interior, evoking the classic racing look of red over black, while incorporating some exterior details inside, including Cavallino-stitched Daytona racing seats, red stitching throughout, and Rosso-colored seatbelts. Any fears of damaging that exotic red paint will also be alleviated by the inclusion of paint protection film (PPF) over the entire body. It is undeniably one of the most recognizable models in the Prancing Horse's stables, much like the 458 that preceded it. I'd say something like 'the $239,000 asking price isn't cheap,' but this is one of Ferrari's flagship models, so of course it won't be. Given that this particular example has some tasteful options that perfectly complement the car and shows such low miles on the odometer, it's one of the best ones available on the market right now. It's certainly not for everyone, but those fortunate enough to sit behind its wheel know that they're in the presence of Italian royalty. About the Author Gabriel Ionica View Profile
