According to Japanese outlet Creative Trend, the beloved Lexus LC 500 is nearing the end of its production.

Despite the LC being heralded as one of the best-looking motors of the modern era by car lovers, the LC will reportedly be discontinued after the 2026 model year.
The popular Japanese manufacturer has been selling the convertible since 2018.
TFL car explained that while the LC has received a few minor updates along the way, what makes the motor is the styling, as well as its 471-horsepower 6.0-liter V8.
Clarkson told The Sunday Times that the LC's engine "is just the most brilliant," in 2020
The ex Top Gear star said: "The Lexus sets off on a creamy, seamless wave of horsepower, which fills your head with serotonin and dopamine and all the other brain chemicals you need to stay alive and intelligent."
He has also praised the Lexus 5-litre V8 engine before when it was used in the GS F.
According to The Sunday Times, he likened the engine's sound to a "lonely wolf," and said he "liked it a very lot."
Creative Trend reported that the automaker is sending out the LC in the home market with a special 'Pinnacle Edition'
Lexus are only planning to manufacture 100 units each of the coupe and convertible, which will reportedly go to Japanese customers.
It plans to sell half of the limited run to current interested owners, and the other half to the general public.

According to the report, the coupe will have a matte silver look, while the convertible will be a Neutrino Gray with a sand-coloured top, however, images of the new vehicle are yet to be released.
It has also been reported that this edition will come with a carbon fibre rear spoiler, red break calipers, and distinct 21-inch alloy wheels.
This will be their last car to come out with a V8 engine
In response to this discontinuation, Yahoo autos said: 'Far too many V8 cars are disappearing these days, including the Lexus LC 500, if a new report is to be believed.
'While it is sad news we would love not to be true, the writing has been on the wall for a while, so we are not surprised.'

A pair of kajal (kohl) laden eyes, a colourful parandi (tassel), a soaring bird or even revered gods and goddesses – such symbols are painted by self-taught artists on to the trucks and tuks of the Indian subcontinent. All carry with them a story, personal to the individual driver, yet shared within a collective consciousness of myths, fables, faiths and traditions. Photograph: Christopher Herwig The average Indian goods truck covers about 300km a day, with drivers spending most of the year away from their family and friends. Provided government regulations don't intervene, the extent to which a truck or vehicle might be decorated is unrestricted. For a driver, the truck isn't simply a carrier of goods, but their very own dulhan (bride). Consequently, trucks are embellished with bridal symbols and cab interiors mimic bridal rooms – stuffed full of colourful fabrics, parandis, mirrors, pom-poms and tassels. Photograph: Christopher Herwig The designs reflect a driver's identity, faith and aspirations and span a bewildering range of themes: ideals of masculinity might be intertwined with expressions of love and longing, while bold typography urges drivers to blow their horns, or promotes a campaign for the education of girls. Photograph: Christopher Herwig In Pakistan, Islamic fundamentalists belonging to the FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), Swat and Dir districts constantly pressure drivers to remove human and animal imagery from the trucks, driving truck artists out of these areas and shutting down their workshops. The fear of persecution or having their cargos looted or damaged has forced drivers with painted and embellished trucks out of these regions, while new trucks, decorated in abstract, minimal designs, have replaced them. Photograph: Christopher Herwig Between the 1950s and the 1980s truck art developed considerably, encompassing popular South Asian aesthetics alongside evolving traditional motifs. This was particularly reflected in the practice of filling every inch of a 'canvas', inspired by the way Indian and Pakistani cinema billboards had become louder in appearance. These in turn, had been influenced by the Pop Art and psychedelic movements which had arrived from the west in the 1960s. The first vehicles to be painted in this fashion were the mini-buses of Karachi. The approach quickly transferred to local trucks, the range of decoration continually expanding. In rickshaw art, the ancient folk traditions of Bangladesh (which are derived from the intermingling of the Ajanta and Tibetan traditions) are combined with local designs to develop new forms of urban vernacular folk art. One of the most prolific Mercedes-Benz engines, the 3.5-liter V6 is usually pretty solid, but not always. The Ferrari 488 is one of the brand's most well-known models The Ferrari 488 GTB came out in 2015 as the replacement for the similarly styled 458. It was the first Ferrari to use a mid-mounted turbocharged V8 since the F40, and spawned numerous variants and one-offs during its five-year production span. Ferrari claimed a 0-60 mph time of 3 seconds flat, with a blazing top speed of 205 mph. It is undeniably one of the most recognizable models in the Prancing Horse's stables, much like the 458 that preceded it. I'd say something like 'the $239,000 asking price isn't cheap,' but this is one of Ferrari's flagship models, so of course it won't be. Given that this particular example has some tasteful options that perfectly complement the car and shows such low miles on the odometer, it's one of the best ones available on the market right now.
