Whether you're a casual Instagram user or a photography fanatic, you've likely come across a post by Accidentally Wes Anderson (or AWA for short), a platform known for showcasing moments in daily life that replicate the American filmmaker's signature symmetrical style. This internationally acclaimed art project has held exhibitions in cities such as London, Tokyo, Seoul, and Los Angeles, and this July, it'll be arriving in Hong Kong for the first time at The Mills and Airside simultaneously.
From July 15 to September 14, these stunning exhibitions will feature over 100 real-life photographs taken by AWA's founders and global contributors that embody Anderson's whimsical style, complemented by the exhibition space's bold colours and meticulously designed installations that reflect the filmmaker's iconic centred framing.
Both exhibitions will display the colourful photos in different thematic zones – hotels, doors and facades, pools, lighthouses, and a Hong Kong-themed section. Additionally, the hotel zone at The Mills' exhibition will recreate the iconic entrance and reception from The Grand Budapest Hotel – so be sure to snap photos here! What's more, visitors can also check out each exhibition's Hong Kong-exclusive AWA pop-up store, featuring merchandise such as posters, tote bags, pins, and more. Entrance to both exhibitions is free, find more details about AWA's first Hong Kong exhibitions on The Mills' Facebook page.
MTR will offer half-price rides for one day in July

Justin Thomas tries casting a spell on golf ball in desperate attempt to nail birdie putt at The Open

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JUSTIN THOMAS attempted his best Harry Potter impression as he tried to cast a spell on his golf ball. The American, 32, was in a blockbuster group with Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood for the first two days of The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush. Thomas had a look at a birdie putt on the par 3 third hole to get in the red for his tournament. And he made a superb effort at the 29ft right-to-left putt. The ball curved around beautifully and looked destined to disappear into the bottom of the hole. But despite literally overhanging the hole, the ball stopped and refused to go in for the birdie. So Thomas waited patiently to see if the ball would eventually find one more rotation and just nudge itself in. The commentator joked he should blow on it to secure the birdie. But as Thomas got desperate, he jokingly turned to supernatural powers to force the issue and hilariously forcefully pointed at the ball and demanded it to "GO" in. Awkward moment fart noise stuns Open commentators into silence before pair burst out laughing It was not to be, though. So after waiting long enough to wander over to the ball, Thomas did not want to risk a stroke penalty for taking too long over his shot. And in the end he had to concede it was not going in. So the two-time PGA Championship winner relented and knocked in the very easiest par putt of his career from less than an inch away. Golf fans took to social media loving his antics on the green. The Open account wrote: "Justin Thomas trying to summon the wind on 3." A third added: "Justin Thomas should've thrown his arm at the ball with more gusto on hole 3 it might've fallen in." And a final user cheekily commented when it didn't work: "So basically he's Ron in the Chamber of Secrets?"

Meghan Markle's cryptic birthday message cleared up amid Queen Camilla's celebrations

Meghan Markle shared a mysterious birthday message on Instagram as Queen Camilla turned 78 - but two of the Duchess of Sussex's pals have set the record straight on the post Two of Meghan Markle's pals have set the record straight after she shared a cryptic birthday message as Queen Camilla turned 78. Taking to her Instagram stories earlier in the week, Meghan posted a video of her unboxing a crate of three bottles of w ine from her lifestyle brand, As Ever. ‌ Alongside the video, Meghan wrote: "Sending birthday love (both near and far) to my ladies," alongside a heart emoji. At the time, it was unclear exactly who she was sending the bottles of wine to, but many speculated the message was intended for the Queen, who was marking her birthday just hours later. ‌ ‌ Meghan is believed to have bonded with Camilla when she first joined the royal fold, with the pair sharing a love of the arts and wine - before things are said to have gone sour with their relationship. But it transpires that the message and gifts might not have been for Camilla after all. That's because Meghan's pals Heather Dorak and Jamie Kern Lima later shared the same gift boxes on their Instagram stories, thanking Meghan for the birthday present. ‌ Dorak, who is a close friend of the Duchess, shared a picture of the box with a sprig of lavender, adding: "You know how to make a friend feel special @meghan". While Jamie, who recently hosted Meghan on her podcast and recently turned 48, wrote on her Instagram: "@meghan thank you for the most magical birthday basket! Our friendship is a gift, as is your beautiful soul!" ‌ It comes as Camilla celebrated her birthday with a new photo released of her smiling in the sunshine at her Wiltshire residence, Ray Mill House. The image shows the Queen looking relaxed and wearing a turquoise dress in a Liberty fabric printed with a rainforest of toucans, lemurs and monkeys. Last year, Camilla was on duty on her birthday, attending the State Opening of Parliament at the King's side. This year, she is said to be spending the day privately. The King, who is still being treated for cancer, is known to have been buoyed by his wife's support since his diagnosis last year. ‌ The pair celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary at the start of April and have had a busy run of engagements, including hosting a state visit by the French president last week, ahead of their upcoming annual summer break to Scotland. In the birthday portrait taken by photographer Chris Jackson earlier this month, Camilla can be seen wearing gold drop earrings, a delicate gold bracelet, as well as a gold ring composed of circular plaques on her pinky finger. Also seen is her wedding band and her five-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring as she places her hands together while resting on the gate.
