From free movies and music to free yoga and BBQs, classic cars, family opera, the Bray Air Display and that new live music series, LiveWave, details of the the Summer in Bray Festival 2025 have just been revealed and there is something for everyone The seaside town of Bray invites you to dive into all the fun as the town kickstarts the season with festivals, events and activities galore throughout July, and August, and there's something for everyone in the family to enjoy until the final firework goes out with a bang on bank holiday Monday, August 4. Here are some of the highlights: LiveWave Bray's iconic Victorian bandstand will be transformed into an epic live music venue for three nights this summer, with the emphasis on what organisers are calling 'unbeatable seaside energy'. The series kicks off with their Britpop Brilliance show, starring leading Oasis tribute band Live Forever on Friday, July 11. The following night is the Ultimate Throwback Party headlined by Smash Hits, who will be banging out 90s and 00s classics for a pop bonanza. Closing the inaugural Bray LiveWave is Country on the Coast as The Garth Brooks Tribute Band 'brings Nashville vibes to Bray Seafront' on Sunday, August 3, right before the Summer in Bray closing fireworks on the August bank holiday Monday. Each performance has the full experience of DJs and warm-up acts from before the main event takes to the stage. The July shows begin at 7pm and the August date starts at 4pm. Sunday Summer Sounds on the Seafront There is nothing better than lounging in the sun and listening to some traditional brass bands on a Sunday afternoon. The free Sunday Summer Sounds returns to Bray's iconic Victorian bandstand and will run over selected Sundays throughout the summer. Family Opera Festival, Sunday, June 29 Killruddery House and Gardens is hosting a family-focussed opera festival that aims to show children aged five to 10 that opera is indeed fun. Showings at The Orangery include The Magic Flute and Hansel and Gretel, with opera-goers reminded to bring their own cushion. Adult tickets cost €10 and come with two free child tickets. Any additional children can gain tickets for €5 each. The performances begin at 12pm on Sunday, June 29. Movies at the Bandstand, Thursdays July 3, 17 and August 7 The silver screen is coming to the bandstand this summer for three nights of free movie magic. As the event is weather dependent, movie showings will be confirmed closer to the date of each film night. This kids' walking trail links up five brightly-coloured murals created by children's author and illustrator Chris Judge in collaboration with 50 local children. Curated by Donna Carroll, this project received funding from Platform Pizza, Bray Municipal District, Megazyme, and Bray Credit Union. The stunning murals were brought to life by the talented team at Triskill.
