Raid 2 box office collection day 9: Ajay Devgn's film crosses Rs 100 crore mark; surpasses lifetime collection of Kesari 2, Jaat
On its ninth day, Raid 2 witnessed an overall occupancy of 11.78%. The film, also starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Amit Sial in the lead roles, had about 4500 shows across India on Friday. Raid 2 has surpassed the collective lifetime revenue of his recent releases Azaad, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Maidaan. Maidaan, released in 2024, earned Rs 53 crore in India. Meanwhile, his films Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Azaad were among his biggest box office debacles with collections of Rs 11.5 crore and Rs 6 crore, respectively.
Raid 2 has outperformed Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 and Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero. Kesari 2 on its 22nd day earned just Rs 60 lakh, taking the film's total to Rs 83.95 crore. Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero collected Rs 7.6 crore with the film earning just Rs 1 lakh on its 15th day.

Ajay Devgn's last hit was his film Shaitaan with actors R Madhavan and Jyotika. The film went on to earn Rs 148 crore nett in India. His multi-starrer film, Singham Again too earned whopping Rs 247.85 crore, but due to its enormous budget and his A-lister star cast, the film wasn't seen as a blockbuster.
With no new releases scheduled in the near future, it seems that Ajay Devgn's film will continue to hold its own in the upcoming week as well. This week, Rajkummar Rao's Bhool Chuk Maaf was scheduled for a theatrical release but the film will now get a direct OTT release next week.

Archana Puran Singh's son Aaryamann fixes a virtual date with girlfriend Yogita Bihani, father Parmeet Sethi crashes it: ‘Kya zamana aagaya hai'
Actor Archana Puran Singh's son Aaryamann recently started a 30-day vlog challenge on his newly launched YouTube channel. In one of the vlogs, he revealed he is dating Vikram Vedha actress Yogita Bihani. Upon hitting the 100k subscribers mark just 23 days after starting his channel, Aaryamann created a special video. While he gathered his entire family to thank his viewers for subscribing to his channel and helping him achieve this milestone ahead of the release of his song, he expressed that he missed his girlfriend. In the vlog, he said, 'I am feeling a little sad because Yogita is not here. We will try to fix that. I have a virtual date planned with her after this.' The term 'virtual date' sounded odd to his father Parmeet Sethi, who quickly reacted, 'Yeh kuch nayi cheez suni maine abhi (This is something new).' A shy Aaryamann replied to his father, 'Keep up with the times dad.' Expressing his love for his son, Parmeet Sethi shared, 'Arey mera beta set hogaya guys, mai toh bada khush hu (My son has been settled, I am extremely happy).' Later, Parmeet crashed Aaryamann's virtual date and asked, 'What is this? Yeh kya ho raha hai? (What's happening)?' An annoyed Aaryamann said, 'My date has been crashed guys.' He then explains to his father, 'Yeh humara virtual date chal raha hai papa (This is our virtual date, Papa). Thank you for interrupting but we were just talking about you.' A seemingly confused Parmeet said, 'This is virtual date? Yeh kya zamana aagaya hai? (What has this generation come to?)' He then told his son, 'You should have met her in person. What do you even mean by virtual date?' This surprised Parmeet, who said, 'Kya baat hai, itni tuning abhi se hi? Iski aaj tak toh humarein sath tuning ho nahi paa rahi. (Wow! You guys share a great tuning already. He still struggles to adjust with us.) We ask him to eat veggies, and he says, 'I need paneer'.' After Aaryamann shooed his dad away, he spoke about how Parmeet and Archana reacted to Yogita entering his life, 'Everybody were very sweet. They all loved Yogita. They already knew her as an actress. Mumma would often say, 'She is such nice actress. She does such great work. She is very hard working.' When I told her I am dating her, she was like, 'Tere sath hai woh? She is with you)'?' Archana was quite shocked. Yogita shared her side of the story, and said, 'When I told my mom about Aaryamann, she was like, 'Is he the same guy you messed with your hair in his music video?'' She even revealed that her father has recently subscribed to Aaryamann's YouTube channel and addresses him as Aary Ji. She shared, 'Papa told me, 'Dharmendra jaise vibe hai iss ladke ki thodi. Dharmendra jaise lagte hai yeh. If he does a little workout, he will start to look like Dharmendra.' I was like 'Yeah, Papa.' She added, 'At my place, people address Aary as Aary Ji.' A shy Aaryamann then ended his vlog by saying, 'I think our date ka time is up now because your brother would want his room back. And I respect that. Please don't occupy his room.' Yogita laughed and said, 'Mera pura khandaan pagal ho chuka hai (My entire family has gone crazy).'

From 'Saiyaara', 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan' to 'Dhadak 2': Internet spots striking similarities in film posters, calls out 'copy-paste' trend
Ardent Bollywood fans, known for their sharp observational skills, are now turning their attention to movie posters. Social media is abuzz with users increasingly highlighting the striking visual similarities between recent Hindi film releases. From the posters of National Award winners Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor 's 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan', to Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's 'Dhadak 2', and Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's 'Saiyaara', fans are pointing out a concerning "copy-paste" trend in Bollywood's marketing. Here's a closer look at it Netizens react to the posters Netizens took to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to share the side-by-side comparisons, criticizing what they call a "copy-paste" trend in Bollywood poster design, which includes everything from the framing of romantic leads where they stick their foreheads together to nearly identical backdrops and poses. Reddit was quick to comment after a user shared the posters for Bollywood's most recent slate of films, which looked similar. A poster of 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' by Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani was shared on the internet, and it was compared to a 'Saiyaara' poster. "Saiyara is also very close to this," the netizen wrote. The color scheme is too similar. Another compares it to Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. "I mean, how much innovation do you want for romantic films? There will only be a select few poses," another person stated. A fan joked, "Everyone is doing this in their shadi pics too!" Internet calls for originality The discussion saw some fans advocating for designers to re-embrace originality and creative risk-taking in visual marketing. They argued that the repetitive aesthetics stifle creativity and make new releases indistinguishable. On the other hand, some defended the aesthetic overlap, suggesting it's merely a common stylistic choice prevalent within the industry, particularly for films within the same genre. Box office performances of the films under radar The films whose posters sparked this debate have seen varied success at the box office. 'Saiyaara', a YRF production, has been a commercial success, buoyed by its popular cast, catchy songs, and compelling storytelling. The movie has garnered over Rs 300 crore globally, making it one of 2025's most successful projects. 'Dhadak 2', starring Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, however, had a slow start. It struggled to attract a devoted fanbase, especially when compared to Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar 2' franchise. 'Son of Sardaar 2' significantly outperformed 'Dhadak 2' on its opening day, earning an impressive Rs 6.75 crore against 'Dhadak 2's Rs 3.35 crore. Similarly, 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan', featuring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, also had a modest theatrical run. Despite an opening of Rs 1.61 crore, the film did not manage to perform well at the box office overall.
