And the answer is... Wingtech REVVL 7 Pro 5G!
Same device as the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G, custom body. Wingtech, now owned by Luxshare, makes it in Jiaxing, Wuxi, or Kunming China https://t.co/KFS3WtMF5O — Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) June 16, 2025
Further complicating matters, observers have noted that the T1 bears a strong physical and technical resemblance to the REVVL 7 Pro, a Chinese-made phone currently selling for under $180. This similarity has fueled speculation that the T1 may in fact be a rebranded device produced by an original design manufacturer (ODM) in China – a common industry practice, but one that would contradict Trump Mobile's claims of domestic design and assembly.
Not just contradict, but turn the whole operation into a petty farce. Waging severe economic measures against China and then selling a rebranded Chinese phone is one thing, but claiming that same phone is 100% US-made is the kind of joke that will not play out well.
The President's Trump Mobile service, on the other hand, might turn out to be profitable sooner than later, according to experts.
Trump Mobile's $47.45/mo. plan is priced higher than many of its competitors, yet it could still become profitable relatively quickly if it keeps operating costs low. According to analyst Roger Entner, the service might break even with just 200,000 to 300,000 subscribers – an achievable target if the company avoids major expenses like retail stores and sticks to online sales.
Despite its higher price point, Trump Mobile enters a crowded field where budget-friendly options are already well established. Charter offers mobile service at $30 per month, Comcast at $40, and Altice USA at $25 for the first year, increasing to $35 afterward. Other low-cost rivals include Visible by
While Trump Mobile may not attract customers based on price or features, it could carve out a niche among brand-loyal consumers. Analysts expect its market impact to be limited, but profitability may still be within reach if it maintains a lean, low-overhead model.

If President Trump can't deliver on his pre-election campaign promises, he'll probably (at least) keep his promise about the Trump T1 Phone and the Trump Mobile service. Right? Many doubt that Mr. Trump will be able to make this one happen. The $499 phone, featuring a 6.8-inch screen, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot (hey, that's not bad at all!), was recently announced to go on sale this September. There are claims the phone will be produced in states like Alabama, California, and Florida. However, industry analysts are deeply skeptical – not just about the timeline (indeed it seems extremely short), but about whether domestic production is even feasible.Experts point out that the US no longer has the kind of vertically integrated supply chain required to build a smartphone from the ground up. Everything from displays and chips to basic components like crystals and sensors are typically sourced from countries like China, Taiwan, and South Korea. As a result, producing a fully American-made phone would require an extensive and expensive overhaul of the existing hardware ecosystem.

Google Messages is getting a bold new look on smartwatches
Google is continuing its slow rollout of the Material 3 Expressive design language across its apps, and its latest stop is Wear OS. The Google Messages app on smartwatches is now showing signs of a visual refresh, first spotted by a Telegram user on a Pixel Watch 3. The update brings visual elements that align closely with Material 3 Expressive: message bubbles now have subtle tints, buttons are filled with color, and interface shapes suggest more fluid interactions. Some list options now feature buttons with both icons and text, while others are shaped to hint at their scrollable behavior. It's not clear yet how widely the redesign is being distributed. While some users on the latest version of Google Messages are already seeing the changes, others are not, which points to a server-side rollout. It may also be limited to specific hardware like the Pixel Watch 3 or newer Wear OS devices. Material 3 Expressive in the Google Messages Wear OS app. | Images credit — Android Authority Material 3 Expressive has also been expanding across Android phones and tablets. On smartphones, Google Messages is testing the same redesign, but only for beta users. The Google Keep app was recently updated with a thicker search bar and slightly larger icons. Google Phone also received a refresh, featuring rounded cards, a new dialer, and updated gesture controls. Google's Material 3 Expressive rollout mirrors Apple's own shift with its Liquid Glass UI in iOS 26 and watchOS 26. While Apple is focusing on fluid transitions and the transparent aesthetic to give its software a more futuristic feel, Google's approach leans more into customizable shapes and vibrant color accents. Both companies are clearly trying to break out of flat design—but Google's rollout has been slower, staggered across platforms and devices, whereas Apple's updates throughout this beta period has been more unified across iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Staggered rollouts, such as how Google usually does them, can be frustrating. Users running the latest software may not see the redesign immediately, which raises questions about the consistency of Google's software updates across Wear OS. That said, these types of server-side experiments often serve as final validation before a broader release. That said, this is a step forward for Wear OS. While not a game-changer, the update reflects Google's continued investment in wearable software design, even as competition from Samsung's One UI Watch and Apple's watchOS remains strong. For users already in Google's ecosystem, the growing presence of Material 3 Expressive is bringing a more cohesive visual experience across platforms.

Galaxy Z Fold7 passes gruesome durability test Comments
P When Jerry pulled the Z7 backwards, I cringed. I don't put too much on these tests but it is good to see the phone won't easily bend. One of main causes of damaged to the screen comes from the inside when heat damages the board or wires. The exposed wire rubs against the back of the screen and you get a black screen. It's not the only reason for damaged screens, but it is probably responsible for many of the damages that happens out the blue. The wires are very delicate. ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 52 minutes ago Teams crashing, need to reinstall it to make it work again : ... more "OneUI is superior to OriginOS, that's a fact." Lmao fact you say.🤣🤣 No, it's not, you like it better, that's a fact, and that's perfectly fine. I wouldn't claim OriginOS is better, but for me it is, and for many others it is, while for plenty of people One UI is simply the best, it is what it is. It's completely subjective. "Teams crashing, need to reinstall it to make it work again : Sure, I can see it, weird because I use it as well and it's fine. It's likely device specific. So, while am at it, I will ask. Which vivo device did you get, and why? Did you buy it, or it's just a loaner device from someone you know? Just curious. "OriginOS 5 doesn't have a lot of customizations compared to OneUI 7.." As a long time user of it, I can tell you that's not true, you just aren't a user of Origin OS, and are used to One UI, stick to what you like, but don't tryna claim Origin OS is bad or not customizable enough, when that's clearly not true. "while Samsung one is nothing like those two." They separated it the same way, when they didn't need to and their users never wanted this and disliked it when it got introduced. Thankfully you can turn it off on both devices. DarlingYext, 2 hours ago "OriginOS is usable but nothing flagship-like" For you, for me it is the flagship... more Teams crashing, need to reinstall it to make it work again : No Vivo account should be needed to change the default launcher. "Customizations" means I should be able to remove this useless origin kit tab, I can already access it elsewhere. OriginOS 5 doesn't have a lot of customizations compared to OneUI 7, for example on the lock screen: it's always the same clock style with just 8 slightly different fonts, give me at the very least a vertical clock. And the rest is basically system-wide colors, corner radius, apps icons, and a couple of cheap 'dynamic effects'. Also, OriginOS quick settings panel when separated is looking exactly like a cheap copy of the iOS one, while Samsung one is nothing like those two. And let's not talk about "Origin island". OneUI 7 is just better in every way, unmatched customizations (especially with Goodlock modules), more features (like Routines, Dex, QuickShare...), a more complete ecosystem integration, better AI (assistant, photos)..., all working nicely out of the box. OneUI is superior to OriginOS, that's a fact. C Well Zack gym would help a little. But for a bend test you should call a Mariusz Pudzianovsky aka The Dominator and few other strongmans which would bend it in second. And from Galaxy Z series we could get Galaxy Ash series. Or... more "OriginOS is usable but nothing flagship-like" For you, for me it is the flagship experience, when I switch to any of my other phones, I miss Origin OS. "some Microsoft apps crash, like Teams (it worked for a bit)" I use Teams as well, and some other Microsoft apps, they all work perfectly. "need a Vivo account to change launcher" Not exactly rocket science to register one, takes a couple of minutes, no it doesn't require a chinese phone number. "..can't remove origin kit widgets tab from app drawer" How, why is that a problem? "notifications for some apps aren't working great" Autostart had to be enabled for them, and background power consumption management has to be put on high background power usage, which again takes a minute or so to do. "nfc issues (google wallet gym pass nfc not working)" That might be because google play services aren't updated, which you should be able to update. "not a lot customizations / can't change assistant" Not a lot of customization? On Origin OS? That's just false, you may not have found where or how to customize it, but there is a lot. "At least there is the option to have the quick settings panel to be something else than the iOS copy-pasted one. " It's nothing like iOS, and I personally prefer the notification panel to be separate from the Quick Settings. One UI also has it like that now btw. OriginOS is usable but nothing flagship-like, after 2 weeks, I already have the following issues: - can't properly resize non Vivo widgets / can't remove origin kit widgets tab from app drawer - dark mode enabled but ugly white background on volume/quick settings panel in landscape while watching Netflix (flashbang while in the dark) - some Microsoft apps crash, like Teams (it worked for a bit) - notifications for some apps aren't working great - need a Vivo account to change launcher - nfc issues (google wallet gym pass nfc not working) - micts (circle to search) need setup again after update - dynamic island, I mean origin island, only work with some specific Chinese apps, need to change package name to something compatible with it - ai photo tools are slow and unreliable (mostly timeout error) - not a lot customizations / can't change assistant - lot of configuration needed (notifications, permissions, remove unusable Chinese bloat...) I apologize for the misunderstanding. And it clearly a very subjective thing, different people have different experiences, look at people using iPhones, a lot of them say they are very satisfied, while others say they aren't that good. To answer your question, I'm currently using 3 phones like a maniac haha. I kept my s23 Ultra to use solely for gaming, as that takes a toll on the battery. I got the Fold 5 by mistake actually, my wife wanted to go from the iPhone 13 pro max to the 15 pro max but then reconsidered, as it was no noticeable upgrade for her. But it was too late, the phone was already ordered so we either had to accept the iPhone or choose another phone, and I chose the Fold5 for me. I was skeptical, as foldables for me seemed too fragile, but I also wanted to try one out really badly. And it worked out perfectly. The issue with Samsung (and Apple) are the atrocious cameras, so I bought a Xiaomi 14 Ultra last year, to use as a travel phone, got it at 600€ only. Great phone but crappy software and the battery doesn't last even as much as the Fold. Now I traded in the 5 to get the 7, because the issues I had with the Fold5 were all fixed for me in the 7, i.e. the thickness and cover screen. The battery lasts me all day, sometimes even 1.5 days, charges in an hour, is just great. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. But that comes down to personal choice. If Honor or Vivo would have the same software and customer support as Samsung, then I would gladly switch to them as they have better hardware, but as of now, people need to look at the complete package. For me, personally, the software experience is more important than 1-2 hours of extra battery or a better telephoto camera. But that's just me. That's why I said it's very subjective and you can't just blatantly say a brand has bad products just because you had bad experience. It's the same with everything, cars, appliances, etc. Even a 200$ Ferrari can break down, doesn't mean people won't buy them anymore kdss, 7 hours ago I don't know about other countries, but in mine you can even buy a phone displayed in the... more That's different. I have been using them for 4 years bot, ... more Immediately calling someone a bot just because they dislike your favourite brand, not a great defense but good try, I guess. Anyways, you had issues with fast charging, while I had issues with slow charging, not just on Samsung devices, but anything that only had around 18W charging speeds. However my current device is 2 years old, it's a china only model, which has 80W wired, 50W wireless charging, battery health is still at 93%. Yet again, you claim Samsung is oh so reliable and everything is perfect, yet you switched out your Fold5 in 2 years or less, same with the S23 Ultra. Was there anything wrong with either of them? They should still be perfectly capable devices. "If you find it too expensive, it's not for you." It isn't too expensive, it's just too costly for what it offers, and still way too fragile, if it could justify the price it might as well be even more expensive, but it can't. If it wasn't for the removed S Pen support, same battery and charging speeds as previous models, same tiny 3x zoom sensor in that gigantic camera island and the durability concerns, then it would be fine. ? bending your ZFold7 to lay flat on the wireless charger in your Tesla will still overheat V kdss, 6 hours ago Am I to understand that the Fold 7 display and hinges on the demo phone are not used in the ph... more My model opens fully flat but I saw 2 of them in a store and both display models didn't open flat. Rumor: iPhone 17 Pro will zoom past 5x optically, have Pro camera app
Ivan, 28 July 2025 Here's a wild iPhone 17 Pro rumor for you! According to a tipster cited by MacRumors, the iPhone 17 Pro could have an 8x optical zoom camera, a new Pro camera app, and even a second, physical Camera Control button. The tipster is reportedly familiar with a promo film for Apple for the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro. So a level of skepticism is needed here. According to the tipster, the iPhone 17 Pro will employ a new zoom module with a physically-moving lens, which can go to different lengths. So it's either a Sony Xperia 1-like continuous zoom camera, or a Huawei Pura 80 Ultra two-focal-length zoom module. That will allow the iPhone 17 Pro to move past the 5x furthest zoom of the current iPhone 16 Pro. The next part of the rumor is a new Pro camera app that will launch alongside the new iPhone 17 Pro. It will reportedly be able to compete with staples such as Halide, Kino, and Filmic Pro. This ties in nicely with previous reports that Apple will boost the video-taking capabilities of its iPhone 17 models. The 8x optically-zooming camera was wild enough, but what comes next is wilder still. Per the report, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max could end up adding a second, physical camera control button on the top edge of the devices. It will reportedly work to complement the existing Camera Control button on the bottom part of the right edge of the phones. Finally, the tipster reportedly corroborated existing rumors of a centered Apple logo and a new copper-like color option. Source
