Conor Maynard to 'tell his side of the story' after baby DNA drama with Traitors star
Charlotte Chilton claimed that Conor was the father of her daughter, Penelope - something the singer denies.
Earlier this year, Conor Maynard made a shock announcement that he was not the father of Traitors star Charlotte Chilton's baby girl Penelope - after she previously claimed he was the dad.
The pair are believed to have met through Charlotte's fellow Traitors co-star Harry Clark, who is dating influencer Anna Maynard, Conor's sister. Charlotte made public claims that Conor was the father of Penelope and that she had reached out to him after finding out that she was pregnant.
The reality star claimed that she had tried to get in touch with Conor but he had failed to respond. Charlotte said she ideally "wouldn't want" Conor in her life but, because of her daughter, she has to "suck it up and put her first".
Speaking on Loose Women when she was pregnant, Charlotte said: "I'm always torn with what's best for the baby.
"For me and my mental health, and the damage that Conor has done to me, I absolutely wouldn't want him in my life.
"But, I'm an adult and I understand what I've entered into here and if that's how it has to be then I have to suck it up and put her first."
"I would like it for her at some point in her life, but I don't think there's really much point at this stage.
"In the future maybe - that might be nice for her. But it's got to be all Penelope's decision."
However, back in March, Conor made a shock statement revealing that he was not the baby's father after he had taken a paternity test.
He wrote at the time: "Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative.
"Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.
"All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor."
Conor has made a string of sporadic posts on social media posts since, including one with his girlfriend as they began their 'new chapter' after moving in together.
He also shared a second picture of a volcano photoshopped into the back, writing: "On to a new chapter.. (the photo was taken on a grey, miserable day so I edited the sky.. I wanted to use the second slide but Kitty wouldn't let me)."
Conor has now taken to social media to reveal he is releasing new music.
Alongside a promotional video for his track Runaway Man, he shared: "I know I've been kinda quiet this past year.. I guess it's time to start telling my side of the story."

The latest series of Love Island is due to grace our screens on Monday night where a whole host of new contestants will try and find love A Love Island contestant who replaced axed Kyle Ashman has broken show rules after signing up. Conor Phillips is due to enter the villa on Monday night when the new series begins. The 25-year-old rugby player has been preparing for his island stint and even recruited a former islander for help. He has replaced Kyle Ashman who was originally meant to be going on the show but was sent home just days before the series launch after it came out that he'd been quizzed by police over an attack in February. Conor has now said that he spoke to former winner Greg O'Shea before flying out to Majorca to get some advice. However, islanders are not meant to reveal that they are going on the show beforehand. Conor said: "I know Greg through rugby circles so I spoke to him about going on Love Island. "He just said 'be yourself, it's a really really really cool experience that not many people get. So enjoy it and yeah take it day by day and if you can be yourself you can't really go too far wrong'. So that's my plan. He was like 'my advice might be a bit different from others because I won'." He added: "I'm 25 and I've only had one relationship and it wasn't very long. So I feel like I'm maybe doing something wrong or maybe I'm not in the right places. So, hopefully that this is the right place and it should be you know because you're in a lovely villa surrounded by beautiful people, so I'm hoping that this is the one." Kyle has since spoken out about why he was removed from the show. He said: "I fully co-operated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation." It was reported that two masked people stormed a wake in Stafford and hacked at a dad with a blade. Kyle was one of two quizzed but was then released with no further action. It has been said that ITV were unaware of the incident which took place and was not flagged up when contestant checks were carried out. The 38-year-old victim nearly lost his arm and was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment and kept in for around two weeks. Another person who was at the wake was glassed while another was struck with a metal pole. Two more people were run over by a car during the 15 minute attack. Love Island returns Monday, June 9 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

The pair embark on heavy-drinking sessions and abuse drugs in a desperate attempt to stay 'hip'. Eddie constantly chases bizarre fads and fails to lose weight whilst her disappointed and neglected daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) looks on. Little Britain (2003 - 2006) - The premise is simple. A sketch show which features different British people from all walks of life that are engaged in all sorts of comical scenarios. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the pair created iconic pop culture characters. Viewers loved obnoxious council estate teenager Vicky Pollard, morbidly obese scrounger Bubbles Devere, slimming coach Marjorie Dawes, despondent office worker Carol Beer, disgraced politician Sir Norman Fry, of course the iconic Lou and Andy! The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2015) - A sketch show starring the likes of Catherine Tate. She made iconic characters such as rowdy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper with her line 'Am I bovvered?'. Other characters featured Bernie the nurse, the aga saga woman, complaining couple Janice and Ray, and of course her infamous 'Nan', Joannie Taylor. The last character herself spawned multiple specials and even a movie. Gavin and Stacey (2007 - Present) The series tells the story of Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page). The pair embarked on an online and telephone romance for six months. But when they finally decide to be together properly, their friends and family get in the way. Ruth Jones and James Corden created the beloved show, which has been going for over a decade.
