More Oasis tickets to be released before UK tour, band says

Rhyl Journal25-06-2025
The '90s giants announced they would be reuniting for a run of stadium shows in 2025 late last year.
Fans scrambled to get tickets for the Live '25 tour, which will be the first time since 2009 that brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will reunite on stage as Oasis.
With thousands of fans left disappointed by not getting tickets, Oasis has now revealed that more may be sold.

A statement shared on social media by the band reads: "As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine-tuned.
"These final production releases will happen over the coming days.
"If you are an Oasismynet member, keep an eye on your inbox for an email from your regular Oasismynet or Ticketmaster correspondence address.
"Please double-check the email is from the correct account before following links or sharing any purchase information."
An email from Oasis, shared by a fan, reads: "A limited amount of production release tickets have been made available for Oasis Live 25 in Cardiff, Manchester and Edinburgh.
"You have been selected to receive a code for a limited ticket release taking place tomorrow, Thursday 26th June, at 8am BST.
"You have been selected as you were identified as a loyal fan who does not already have tickets for any Oasis Live '25 date."

It reveals that codes have a ticket limit of four and are only valid for 24 hours.
Thousands of fans spent hours online last year in the hope of securing tickets to see the Oasis reunion shows.
Limited tickets have been appearing on Ticketmaster or Twickets, and continue to do so.
Fans have been previously warned that these two sites are the only place to buy resale tickets.
Noel and Liam Gallagher announced last year they had put their acrimonious split behind them, confirming Oasis' long-awaited reunion after 15 years.
Making the announcement, the brothers said: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."
Oasis will be bringing its Live '25 tour to venues across the UK during July, August and September, including in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and London.
A post shared by Oasis (@oasis)
The tour begins on July 4 in Cardiff, with the full list of dates as follows:
Oasis will also perform two shows at Croke Park in Dublin on August 16 and 17, while also taking their tour overseas to the likes of Australia, Canada and the US.

30 happy songs for the ultimate feel-good bank holiday playlist

A scientific playlist has been created to boost your mood and release your inner happy dance and it's a perfect accompaniment to free time activities such as road trips Ahead of the bank holiday weekend, music psychologist Dr Claire Renfrew has crafted a mood-lifting playlist perfect for a road trip. 'Day Tripper' by The Beatles, 'She's Electric' by Oasis, and 'Mamma Mia' by ABBA are among the tracks an expert 'guarantees' will lift your spirits. Other feel-good bangers include Shake It Off by Taylor Swift, Don't Stop Me Now by Queen, and Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys. ‌ The 30-song long playlist, titled 'World's Happiest Car Playlist by FIAT', is available on Spotify and marks 70 years of the legendary 600 - a compact family SUV built for city and countryside driving - and marks the arrival of the new Grande Panda in the UK later this year. ‌ ‌ Every tune follows a scientific formula. According to the formula, the key to a dopamine-triggering track is a blend of being in a major key, containing 7th chords, four bars in every beat, and a tempo of 137 BPM. It must also boast a 'repetitive simple structure' and uplifting lyrics and for the ultimate dopamine hit, Dr Renfrew suggests the songs be "played loud with friends and/or family, while on the road". Numbers like Happy, by Pharrell Williams and I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me), by Whitney Houston, also stick to these 'rules'. Dr Renfrew said: "Most happy songs are in a major key, which sounds brighter and is linked to positive emotions. They often have a simple, uplifting, and crucially, familiar chord structure. "This is pleasing to the ear because our brains find predictability rewarding while fast tempos increase excitement and can increase movement as they reflect an elevated heart rate, mimicking excitement or joy. "And positive, uplifting themes in the lyrics - such as love, summer, dancing, freedom and friendship - can promote a sense of connection." ‌ Other tunes on the playlist include Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling!, Get the Party Started by P!nk, and Survivor's Eye of the Tiger. Dua Lipa's Levitating also made the list, along with One More Time by Daft Punk and Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson, featuring Bruno Mars. Dr Renfrew added: "Music is essential to positive mental health and wellbeing and is seen as a fundamental element of being human. It enables us to obtain emotional regulation, a sense of freedom and discovery alongside purpose and fulfilment. ‌ "Listening to our favourite songs also alleviates, manages, and reduces stress and can be an effective tool in relation to mindfulness. It can also trigger the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward." Giuseppe Cava, UK managing director of the Italian car maker, said: "We have always been about joyful journeys, especially those shared with family. "And with the bank holiday ahead, the 'World's Happiest Car Playlist by FIAT' is our way of adding even more feel-good energy to the road. It has been designed to keep spirits high on long journeys. "Road trips are at the heart of many family memories, so we wanted to create a soundtrack that helps make those shared moments even more enjoyable." SONGS ON THE PLAYLIST: The Temper Trap – Sweet Disposition The Beatles – Day Tripper Oasis – She's Electric ABBA – Mamma Mia Thegiornalisti – Riccione Daft Punk – One More Time Paramore – Still Into You Pharrell Williams – Happy Alessandra Amoroso – Comunque andare Dua Lipa – Levitating Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive Taylor Swift – Shake It Off Mark Ronson feat. Oasis have two dates left on reunion tour - can you still buy tickets?

Oasis kick off their final two shows in London in just a month's time. And tickets can still be purchased Oasis enthusiasts' time is running out. The band, who are currently on their hugely popular Oasis Live '25 tour, have just two dates left in their massive adventure through the UK. The band, made up of brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, have enjoyed some enormous dates across the country, including Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Manchester's Heaton Park and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium. They still have just two dates left, though. Although Oasis have already played a handful of dates at London's Wembley Stadium, there are two night of entertainment and nostalgia left. The band will be hitting the prestigious venue once again on September 27 and 28, 2025. Although tickets were released earlier this year, there is still hope - even thought we're just weeks out from the live shows. Here's the breakdown. viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused. Can you buy Oasis tickets now? Thankfully the answer is: Yes. However, fans have a number of options. Oasis tickets are available from many online retailers. This extensive list includes such websites as resale brands, including viagogo and StubHub, and indeed official retailers, including Ticketmaster and Seat Unique. At the time of writing, resale websites have the most tickets available. However, they are not cheap. Currently, viagogo is advertising tickets for sale right now for around £700 each. They then go up to around £800 each. Fans may also want to look at Twickets, Oasis' only official retailers. With that said, this website sold out months ago and hasn't restocked fully ever since. Here's the list of resale websites to buy tickets from right now: STUBHUB - Buy Oasis tickets here. TWICKETS - Buy Oasis tickets here. Alternatively, Ticketmaster is likely to be the first port of call for many fans, as it's known to be the original seller of the band's tour tickets. They've been out of stock for a while now, though. With that said, it is always worth keeping and eye on their stocks. Finally, one of the few websites with strong stock of Oasis tickets is Seat Unique. The VIP and hospitality-based website offers fans the best chance of securing a spot at one of Oasis' tour dates this year. Moreover, these VIP tickets offer fans an opportunity to see the band with a dash of extra sparkle and sophistication. Here's the links to both of these websites: Final Oasis Tour Dates 2025 SEPTEMBER 2025 27th - London, Wembley Stadium 28th - London, Wembley Stadium

The Maccabees review — a blistering second shot at fame

Eight years ago, the Maccabees bade farewell to their fans after four albums, the final of which went to No 1. Yet here they were, on blistering form at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom, back for a second shot at fame. Do bands genuinely break up any more? Don't blame Oasis. More likely, the Maccabees saw their Noughties indie-rock compatriots the Libertines and the Kooks playing the biggest concerts of their careers to a raft of new young fans and sensed an opportunity. • Read more music reviews, interviews and guides on what to listen to next Certainly, there is affection to spare for the south London quintet, who bowed out at their height for no apparent reason. More importantly, among the older Maccabees fans at Barrowland was a significant contingent of kids. Surprisingly, perhaps, it was specifically songs from the band's 2007 debut album Colour It In that they had come to hear. The opener, Latchmere, an early single, proved the point. A spiky rocker about a south London leisure centre, it sent Barrowland into a frenzy. Rather than hold up their phones, fans were pogoing old-school style and howling back the song's seemingly silly lyrics about the wave machine at the centre's swimming pool. Lego and the post-punky X-Ray were as rapturously received and as chaotically delivered. There is nothing slick about the Maccabees, and perhaps that's the appeal. In an age of Instagram perfection, their low-budget, high-energy indie felt real and refreshing. As ever, the bulk of the band's interaction with the audience came via the guitarist Felix White, now sporting more hair than he did first time round. 'We never thought we'd be stood here again — it's the best feeling in the world,' he said. The frontman Orlando Weeks, with less hair but added moustache, was always the Maccabees' Achilles heel when it came to playing live. He simply can't seem to speak on stage. Previously an obstacle to success, it could become a calling card. When Weeks stepped up to the mic after a riotous Precious Time, the audience fell silent in expectation. 'Eh, cheers …' he said, before an awkward pause. 'All this time and still nothing to say.' Cue the night's loudest laughter. A glorious guest appearance from Nadine Shah on No Kind Words and Kamakura and a spine-tingling Spit It Out, both from 2015's chart-topping Marks To Prove It album, were highlights. Ditto the closer, Pelican, not a hit when it was released in 2012 but now taking off on TikTok.★★★★☆Touring to Aug 24, Follow @timesculture to read the latest reviews
