It's Jolly vs. Jolly in the much-anticipated third installment of the Jolly LLB franchise, as Arshad Warsi returns to face off against Akshay Kumar in a courtroom battle that promises both wit and madness. The newly released teaser offers a first glimpse of the high-octane drama, showcasing a sharp war of words and even some physical confrontations between the two lawyers.
Stealing the spotlight once again is Saurabh Shukla as the ever-frustrated yet lovable Judge Tripathi. In what is arguably the teaser's most memorable moment, he exclaims, 'Ek Jolly toh sambhalta nahi tha… ab ye do Jolly aa gaye hain, main kya karunga bhai?' (One Jolly was hard enough to handle… and now there are two of them, what am I supposed to do, man?)

Directed and written by Subhash Kapoor, who helmed both previous entries, the film also stars Huma Qureshi, Gajraj Rao, and marks the long-awaited comeback of Amrita Rao after a six-year hiatus. With such a strong ensemble and the return of familiar faces, Jolly LLB 3 is already being touted as one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2025.

The original Jolly LLB (2013) introduced audiences to Arshad's portrayal of a struggling lawyer caught in a gripping courtroom battle against Boman Irani's influential lawyer, in a case inspired by the Sanjeev Nanda BMW hit-and-run incident. In 2017, the sequel saw Akshay Kumar stepping into the shoes of another 'Jolly' in a new setting, this time tackling the issue of fake police encounters in Lucknow, opposite Annu Kapoor.
Despite the shift in tone and cast, Saurabh Shukla's Judge Tripathi has remained the franchise's comedic and moral anchor, a role he reprises once more in Jolly LLB 3. The third film has been shot primarily in Rajasthan, with major sequences filmed in Ajmer throughout last year, and is scheduled to hit theatres on September 19, 2025.

Akshay Kumar says he eats dinner at 6:30 pm, fasts every Monday: ‘My last meal is on Sunday night, I don't eat anything till…'

Akshay Kumar is synonymous with discipline—whether it's his punctuality, fitness routine, or lifestyle choices. It's well-known that the actor follows a strict regimen: he is in bed by 10 pm, avoids late-night parties, and makes sure to eat dinner before 7 pm—a habit he has maintained for years. At a recent book launch event for Your Body Already Knows, the actor shed light on his diet and why he insists on finishing dinner as early as 6:30 pm. 'Early dinner is important,' Akshay explained while addressing the audience. 'It is very important for your body because when we go to sleep at night, our eyes are resting, our legs are resting, our hands are resting, every part of our body is resting. But what is not resting is your stomach because we have eaten food late.' He added, 'By the time you get up, it is time for him to relax. But when we get up, we eat our breakfast and again the poor stomach is working… I am explaining it in a very very simple way and you all know that the stomach, all the diseases come from there. I think the diseases will not come near you. This is what I always follow. So, it is important to eat at 6.30 pm because you get your time to digest your food and by the time when you are about to sleep, by 9, 9.30, 10 o'clock, the stomach is completely ready to rest. It is a very simple thing.' 'I take my last meal on Sunday night and don't eat again until Tuesday morning,' he shared. Sharing his workout regime, Akshay shared, 'I do rock climbing, I don't pick up weights, I love to play lots of sports, and my gym if you see… it is basically made for monkeys. I only hang. There are no weights.' Clips from the event quickly went viral on social media, sparking conversations across platforms, including Reddit. One user wrote, 'He is very disciplined, that's what I admire about him. If half the India becomes disciplined like him we will be a 1st world place.' Another added, 'I've been trying it for a few days, and it really works. Sleep is amazing, I wake up feeling lighter… it's a small change with huge benefits.'

Rowdy Rathore 2 Shelved? Akshay Kumar–Sonakshi Sinha Sequel Faces Major Roadblock

Rowdy Rathore 2 shelved? Reports claim the Akshay Kumar–Sonakshi Sinha sequel has been dropped after Disney India's hesitation. Back in 2012, Akshay Kumar stormed the big screen with his larger-than-life cop avatar in Rowdy Rathore, delivering the now-iconic line, 'Don't angry me!" The film, also starring Sonakshi Sinha, quickly cemented itself as one of Bollywood's most entertaining mass entertainers of the decade. Naturally, when reports of a sequel surfaced, fans were thrilled at the prospect of revisiting the action-packed universe. However, it now seems that the much-anticipated Rowdy Rathore 2 has been shelved for good. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, producers Shabinaa Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had been working on the sequel for nearly three years, have decided to drop the project altogether. The roadblock reportedly came from Disney India, which holds partial intellectual property rights to the original film, and has been hesitant to commit to the sequel. The script for Rowdy Rathore 2 was penned by veteran screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad, known for his blockbuster work in films like Baahubali and RRR. However, instead of being scrapped entirely, the makers are now reworking the script into a fresh standalone cop drama—one that carries the same mass appeal and high-octane energy but without the Rowdy Rathore brand name. Industry sources suggest that the new project will be directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker P.S. Mithran, best known for Irumbu Thirai, Hero, and Sardar. The film is expected to go on floors in early 2026, with casting currently underway. Interestingly, actor Sidharth Malhotra, who was earlier being considered for the lead in the sequel, is no longer attached. The team is reportedly scouting for a younger star to embody the role of a fearless, larger-than-life police officer. For the uninitiated, Rowdy Rathore itself was a Hindi remake of the 2006 Telugu hit Vikramarkudu, directed by S.S. Rajamouli. In the Bollywood version, helmed by Prabhu Deva, Akshay Kumar played a double role—honest cop ASP Vikram Rathore IPS and small-time conman Shiva—while Sonakshi Sinha played Shiva's love interest, Paro. The film's masala mix of action, comedy, and romance turned it into a box-office juggernaut. With Rowdy Rathore 2 officially shelved, fans are left wondering if this marks the end of the franchise—or simply the beginning of a reimagined cop saga. Until an official announcement comes through, the future of this once-celebrated action universe remains uncertain. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
