PUMA India Partners with NEB Sports for Major Marathons

Global sportswear brand PUMA India has signed a multi-year partnership with NEB Sports Entertainment, becoming the Official Sportswear Partner for the Mumbai Half Marathon (August 17) and the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon (September 21).
This collaboration is part of PUMA's broader strategy to fuel India's evolving running ecosystem, offering a 360-degree race experience—from expert-led training runs and race-day gear to post-run recovery support. The deal reflects PUMA's increasing presence in India's running culture, which has grown from a fitness trend to a vibrant lifestyle movement.
Karthik Balagopalan, MD of PUMA India, said, 'Running is no longer just a sport in India—it's a lifestyle. With millions of runners and fast-growing participation in marquee events, this partnership reinforces our commitment to elevate the running experience in the country.'
PUMA's NITRO running shoe line has gained dominance, with over 50% of top finishers in key races wearing it since October 2024. Its running business unit is now outpacing overall company growth in India.
In 2024, India's sports economy grew 19% YoY, with marathons making up 23.5% of that growth. PUMA aims to leverage this momentum by promoting performance, participation, and community-building through running.
Nagaraj Adiga, CMD of NEB Sports, added, 'With PUMA onboard, we're excited to expand our vision of creating inclusive and sustainable running events. This partnership empowers runners to pursue wellness with purpose and passion.'
PUMA's marathon contributions include powering events like the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, Ladakh Marathon, and Adani Marathon, alongside 250+ training runs and campaigns such as the PUMA x Bumble Singles Run in 2024—strengthening its role in shaping India's running culture.

From heartbreaks to history: The story behind RCB's iconic victory jersey

(Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) (Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) (Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) (Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) (Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) 1 2 Cricket in India is far more than just a sport - it's an emotion, a cultural movement, and for many, a religion. It binds people across backgrounds, unites hearts in stadiums and living rooms alike, and creates moments of collective joy and heartbreak. At the centre of this emotional rollercoaster lies one of the most symbolic pieces of sporting gear: the team jersey. It's not just fabric stitched together - it's a carrier of dreams, unity, and unshakable faith. Among the many team colours that evoke nostalgia and passion, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) jersey holds a special place. Over the past 18 years, this jersey has become more than just a uniform, it's become a cultural icon, reflecting the underdog spirit and tech-driven resilience of India's Silicon Valley. Crafted with precision by Puma, RCB's red, black, and gold jersey has evolved into a symbol of pride, perseverance, and fandom. (Image Credits: Instagram) Namde to Namdu: A jersey that changed the game The 2025 IPL season witnessed a historic shift. RCB, long considered the heartbreak kings of the tournament, finally broke their title drought. The team's long-standing chant, 'Ee Sala Cup Namde' (This year, the cup is ours), transformed into reality. Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB lifted their maiden IPL trophy and the jersey they wore became the visual emblem of that triumph. From fireworks on the streets to social media celebrations, fans across India donned the iconic red jersey with renewed fervour. It wasn't just a cricket victory, it was a collective emotional release 18 years in the making. And, the sportswear giant behind the design, captured this sentiment with finesse. The art of fusion: How the sports giant wove culture into performance Designing a jersey is no small feat - it's a layered task that requires a balance of emotion, aesthetics, and performance. For RCB's 2025 season, the brand went beyond the drawing board. The goal? Create a design that merged innovation with tradition, and told a story rooted in Karnataka's vibrant cultural identity. The result was stunning: modern silhouettes with subtle nods to local heritage. Minimal traditional motifs inspired by Karnataka's textile legacy were delicately integrated into the design, giving the jersey a unique sense of place. But it wasn't just about looks - the material was engineered for comfort, breathability, and on-field excellence. This was heritage, powered by high-performance tech. (Image Credits: X-@pumacricket) The viral spark: When jerseys became conversations The cultural impact of the jersey went far beyond the cricket ground. The Puma x RCB collaboration was spotlighted across more than 30 major publications, and a viral campaign video featuring cricket legends like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and Devdutt Padikkal sent fans into a frenzy. But the most unforgettable campaign? The innovative 'Taste the Language' initiative. In a creative twist, fans were invited to try edible jilebis shaped like Kannada script - available exclusively at the RCB Bar and Cafe in Bangalore between April 8 and 11. Scanning the jilebi pack unlocked beginner-friendly Kannada lessons on RCB's YouTube channel, seamlessly blending language, food, and fandom. (Image Credits: X:@pumacricket) When predator met predator The collaboration between the two gians was more than just branding, it was storytelling at its finest. Over nearly two decades, the jersey has grown alongside the franchise, becoming a visual timeline of heartbreaks, near-misses, and finally, glorious victory. When a performance brand met a fiercely loved team like RCB, the result was explosive: a wearable story of hope, grit, and glory. So, whether you're a die-hard fan or a fashion-forward spectator, this season's RCB jersey is more than just merch - it's a memory in the making. When are you getting yours? Virat Kohli, Ranbir Kapoor Pay THIS Whopping Amount For A Single Haircut: 'With Rs 18,000 GST'

Last Updated: Popular hairstylist Aalim Hakim has revealed how much he charges for a single haircut. Celebrity hairdresser Aalim Hakim has confirmed that he charges Rs 1 lakh per session for celebrity haircuts, with an additional Rs 18,000 as GST. He said that while he doesn't charge close friends, he follows due protocol when it comes to their movie assignments. 'If they will earn through the project, then I have a right to earn as well," he told Bollywood Bubble. Aalim Hakim has given haircuts to Ranbir Kapoor, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Suniel Shetty, Ranveer Singh and MS Dhoni among others. When asked if he charges Rs 1 lakh for haircuts, Aalim said, 'This is the price for everyone. This is the minimum price, actually. If a person wants Aalim Hakim to cut their hair, Rs 1 lakh is the minimum. This is a per-sitting cost. If I'm called for 10 or 15 sittings, then the cost goes up to Rs 10 lakh or Rs 15 lakh. It's a metre down situation. It's not like I'm forcing anybody to pay, but this is my consultation fee." He explained, 'They pay because they see the results on screen. If they weren't seeing the results, why would they pay? I'm not the only person in town. So many of my assistants have gone on to start their own businesses, and people hire them thinking that they've been trained by me. Everyone goes to school, but not everyone becomes iconic. If this were the case, everybody would become as talented as Amitabh Bachchan after watching his movies." Aalim was also asked if his salons quote the same fee for haircuts. He explained that he doesn't personally work at his salons since everyone would only ask for him. As such, the prices are much lower. He said, 'My salon is packed at all times, our prices start from around Rs 2500 and go up to around Rs 6000. It's not very expensive." He explained, 'Think of it this way, would Manish Malhotra cater to every client himself?" Aalim Hakim's most viral looks include Ranbir Kapoor's look for Animal, MS Dhoni's look for Lays' TVC, Ranveer Singh's looks for Make My Trip ads and Virat Kohli's looks for Puma ads as well as his iconic fade cut.
