Man United's Elisabeth Terland out to wreck Chelsea's Treble bid as her side look to retain FA Cup at Wembley
Holders United face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday afternoon, knowing they have a tall order in stopping Sonia Bompastor's dominant WSL champions from completing a domestic treble.
But they will have faith in striker Terland, who joined from Brighton at the start of the campaign and has scored 12 goals in all competitions, to help them go all the way and lift a second consecutive FA Cup trophy.
'It's been a good season at a new club. It always takes time when you join a new team to build relationships, build connections, and time always helps in that sense,' the 23-year-old Norway international told Mail Sport.
'It is a team and a club that really suits me, how I play and what I want to do as well, so it's a good fit in that way. I'm hungry for more.
'I want to win things with this team and it means a bit extra playing for a badge that you've always supported. I will always do my hundred per cent to be able to do that.'
United, who have only been competing in the top division for six seasons, are appearing in their third consecutive FA Cup final. They lost to today's opponents Chelsea in the 2023 final, before claiming their first piece of silverware with a 4-0 victory over Spurs at Wembley last year.
Terland added that the team are keen to get 'revenge' against the Blues, who have beaten them twice in the league this season.
'We've lost both our games against them this season on two set pieces, a penalty and a corner. I think especially the last game we played against them (in the league), we showed that we deserved more than a loss from that game.
'I think we are very confident in that we are going to go in and make it a really good game, and we want revenge.'
As for Terland, this afternoon could bring her first major trophy.
'The girls have been talking about the final last year and of course that's something you want to do yourself as well. I'm really excited.'
Tickets for Sunday's final have sold out.

Joe Root not focused on record chase after latest run landmark
Joe Root insisted reeling in Sachin Tendulkar is not a top priority after the former England captain moved up to second on the list of all-time Test run-scorers. Root overtook three greats of the game in one fell swoop with a magnificent 150 against India in the fourth Rothesay Test on Friday, leapfrogging Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis and Rahul Dravid. Only Tendulkar, with a mountainous 15,921 runs, is ahead of Root, who has closed to within 2,512 with Ponting among those insisting the Little Master might not be out of reach for the Yorkshireman. While Root, who has amassed 21 centuries since turning 30 four years ago, is aware tongues will be wagging about whether he can catch Tendulkar, he is adamant it is not the be-all and end-all for him. 'I can't avoid it – they're everywhere,' Root told Sky Sports. 'It is easy to get caught up in this stuff but at the end of the day, you're playing against India in one of the biggest series there is. 'It's not about you, it's about winning the game and getting your team in a position where you can follow through on that. You're not doing your job if you're concentrating on yourself. 'When you look at the names there on that list, they are all people that, as a kid, growing up, that's who I would try and be in the garden, on the street, on the driveway, at my local club. 'Even just to be mentioned in the (same) sentence as these guys is a bit of a pinch-yourself moment.' Root's form since the start of 2021 has been breathtaking, amassing 5,586 runs at an average of 56.42, and the 34-year-old admitted some introspection during Covid was a major reason behind his uptick. 'I actually went away during that period and asked can I get some footage off Sky and just look at modes of dismissal (to see) if there were any trends,' added Root, who on Friday was stumped for only the second time in his 286 Test innings. 'One thing that I've done within that period is actually try and look at the game slightly differently. 'At the start of my career, a lot of it was based on my technique. Whereas in this second phase of things, it's been more about managing risk and thinking how can I eliminate as many modes of dismissal as possible with the highest output? 'It's very easy to get caught up, get too emotional, either get too hard on yourself or feel too sorry for yourself. You've got to see it for what it is, be very honest about it, and then just try and put that into practice.'

England receive Lauren James injury verdict as Lionesses confirm squad for Euro 2025 final
England will take on Spain on Sunday in the final of Euro 2025 at St Jakob-Park in Basel and the Lionesses have been sweating on the fitness of playmaker Lauren James Lionesses star Lauren James was involved in England's final training session ahead of the Euro 2025 final. James' availability for the final had been questioned after she was forced off in the semi-final against Italy and sat on the bench with ice on her injured ankle. Sarina Wiegman acknowledged on Friday that the Chelsea star was still recovering, but remained optimistic she could play a part on Sunday against Spain. '[We] don't know yet but that's what we're going to go for, for 23 players available for the game,' manager Wiegman said. If James is unable to start, England are expected to choose between Beth Mead and Chloe Kelly to replace her on the right. Mead started the opening game in the position and replaced James at half-time on Tuesday, but Kelly has made her case with decisive contribution from the bench in both knockout matches. James has started every match in the tournament so far, though, scoring an impressive brace in the 4-0 victory over the Netherlands. After joining the rest of the 23-player group in training in Zurich in Saturday, there is every hope she can play from the start on Sunday. The full complement of players took part in the session before England make the short hop to Basel. This suggests captain Leah Williamson felt no ill-effects from the 85 minutes she played against Italy after recovering from a rolled ankle. Lionesses boss Wiegman has been reluctant to change her starting line-up during the tournament, despite needing penalties against Sweden and extra-time against Italy. Nine of her squad members have started every game, with the only changes seeing Esme Morgan replace Jess Carter at centre-back for the semis and Ella Toone come in for Mead after the opening game, with James moving out to the wing. England's 'finishers' have been key, though, with Kelly and fellow substitute Michelle Agyemang scoring the goals in the comeback victory over Italy in forward Agyemang has still yet to start a senior game for her country, but her impact from the bench has made her hard to ignore. 'Michelle, I would think she's about 30 years old, she's so mature, so humble,' team-mate Toone said of the 19-year-old. 'She's come into this tournament with freedom, not a worry, not a care. 'She's turned up in big moments when we've needed her and she's got a lot of talent and she can do a lot of things that not many players can do. Even when she has scored and catches in games, she's been the same Michelle that she was when we started the tournament. 'I'm buzzing for her, it's nice for good people to get things that they deserve. She's definitely in the bubble now but when she gets out she'll be recognised by a lot more people than she was before the tournament, and she definitely deserves that.'
