The 40-year-old filmed the music video in the Ses Salines Natural Park on the Balearic Islands, but this led to outrage amongst the locals at the time.
Katy filmed in July last year, and has now been slapped with a hefty fine.
At the time, the Balearic Islands government said an investigation is underway after it was discovered that Katy's video was filmed in a protected area without necessary permissions.
In a press release, the environmental agency clarified that "in no case had the production company" taken permission to shoot the video in the Ses Salines National Park.

Parts of Katy's Lifetime video were reportedly filmed within the dunes on the islet of S'Espalmador, located within the Unesco World Heritage nature reserve that spans the islands of Ibiza and Formentera.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Natural Environment said a preliminary investigation for possible environmental damage had been launched against the production company WeOwnTheCity.
Now, it's been revealed that the production company behind the video has been slapped with a €6,001 (£5,197) fine, according to Majorca Daily Bulletin.
Officials have said that as there was no lasting damage to the area, there will be no additional penalties handed out, despite it being a 'serious' offence.
In the Lifetimes music video, directed by Stillz, Katy can be seen cliff jumping, dancing on a beach, and partying at popular nightlife spots on the islands.

The video also includes a series of postcards from what appear to be filming locations including Ibiza and Formentera, where the national park is located.
Lifetimes is the second single from Katy's upcoming sixth studio album 143.
It follows the release of the album's lead single Woman's World, which received mostly negative reviews.
Fans have criticised the song's "dated" lyrics, with one person branding it "the worst thing I've ever heard."
"I was rooting for Katy but these lyrics are so dated it's giving 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign material. It's over," another fan wrote on X.
Several people, including actress Abigail Breslin, also called her out for collaborating with disgraced music producer Dr. Luke on the song and album.
One X user wrote, "The irony of having a song praising women but you're working with Dr. Luke? Katy Perry I didn't expect this from you."
Kesha accused Dr. Luke of sexually assaulting her in a 2014 lawsuit. He denied the allegations and counter-sued the TiKToK singer, with the duo settling their claims last year.

Kids share their top 10 wonders of the world… and they might not be where you think

Sunflowers, seashells, and rocks top the list of 'wonders of the world' CHILD WONDER Kids share their top 10 wonders of the world… and they might not be where you think A STUDY of 381 six-and-seven-year-olds, revealed their favourites out of the millions of everyday wonders. Caterpillars (40 per cent), puddles (27 per cent), and diggers (17 per cent) were among the things to children in their tracks. 3 The study found 40 per cent of six to seven year olds polled were amazed by caterpillars Credit: Getty 3 Sunflowers topped the list of daily wonder for kids Credit: Getty 3 Puddles also made it on the top ten of children's favourite things Credit: Getty With 81 per cent picking up and keeping 'treasures', such as stones from the beach, or a particularly wondrous stick discovered in the woods. It also emerged this wonder is having an impact on their parents, with 62 per cent, of the 600 mums and dads also polled, crediting their youngster for making them appreciate the magic of the everyday things in their environment. In fact, 55 per cent of parents are more likely to notice and be amazed by these daily wonders because their child is. As part of Specsavers' 'Wonder' campaign, alongside commissioning this research, museum-style exhibitions have launched across the UK showcasing children's 'wonders of the world' to get parents thinking about the importance of children's eye health and its impact on their joy and curiosity. Each installation in London, Manchester, Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff features a different 'wonder' selected by five local children, alongside their very own plaque. This includes Yusuf's Digger, Aoife's Caterpillar, Ava's Sunflower, Ffion's Rock, and Mila's Seashell. Professor Sam Wass, child psychologist and neuroscientist, said: "Children see the world in a way adults often forget - full of magic, mystery and wonder. "Good vision is essential to this journey of discovery. "It helps children explore, ask questions and learn through play, all of which are essential to their development." And kids said they're most likely spot everyday amazing things at the beach (68 per cent), in the garden (63 per cent), or at their local park (50 per cent). But 35 per cent will even find something interesting to inspect on the way to school, according to the figures. Nearly seven in 10 (68 per cent) parents said their children often stop to look at things most would consider everyday - on average, five times-a-day. Common phenomena they observe their children stopping to watch and wonder at included birds on a wire (26 per cent), reflections in water (20 per cent), and slug and snail trails (16 per cent). More than a quarter (26 per cent) even report often being late every few days because their child is too busy being fascinated by an object. Perhaps as a result, over half (56 per cent) have been encouraged to slow down and look more closely at the world around them. Which may help the 39 per cent who admitted they very much take their ability to see clearly for granted. A further 66 per cent would be concerned if their little one stopped pointing out these everyday wonders. As 19 per cent also said this would be among the reasons they'd book an eye test for their child, as well as if they were struggling to read or write (45 per cent) or rubbing their eyes frequently (44 per cent). Sarah Joyce, director of optometry at Specsavers, added: "Being able to see clearly is vital to children as they learn about the world - as around 80 per cent of learning in school is visual. "But around one in five children under the age of 10 have sight conditions that can get in the way of all that wonder. "Conditions such as long- or short-sightedness, astigmatism, or a squint can often be treated more effectively if they are picked up early - meaning regular eye tests from the age of four, or sooner if they are having any problems, are essential. "The great news is, for children under 16, the NHS will cover the full cost of the eye test."

Taylor Swift will release new album in weeks – with ‘superstar collaboration' as she talks about dropping hints 3yrs ago

TAYLOR SWIFT only completed her 149-date Eras Tour last December, by which time it had become the highest-grossing tour of all time. While she was criss-crossing the globe, she recorded and released The Tortured Poets Department, which was the best-selling album of 2024 — but instead of taking a break, she is already making a comeback. 12 Taylor Swift sent her fans into meltdown when she announced her 12th studio album Credit: Getty 12 Taylor and Travis attend a friend's wedding last year Credit: The Mega Agency 12 A hint posted in October '24 of Miami Hard Rock Stadium seat section A12 (August 12) Credit: X/@TAYVISNATION 12 In orange on page 12, a date hint, in Eras Tour Book In the early hours of yesterday morning, she sent her fans into meltdown when she announced her 12th studio album will be called The Life Of A Showgirl, and will be released in the coming weeks. And it turns out she has spent years dropping Easter eggs — a term used for secret hints — about the record, including a heavy clue that fellow superstar Sabrina Carpenter has collaborated with her on a song. Taylor confirmed the forthcoming release in a teaser video from a podcast — set to be released at midnight tonight — which was recorded with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother, fellow American footballer Jason. In the clip from their New Heights podcast, shared alongside the caption 'Posted at 12:12 on the 12th. Tay's 12th album is called . . . ' she said: 'This is my brand new album The Life Of A Showgirl.' READ MORE ON TAYLOR SWIFT A.I'M TOO SEXY AI bot reveals most beautiful singer – with Taylor and Dua in the running The album artwork was blurred in the video, but she has updated all of her pages with the colour orange, having started teasing that would be the album's colour theme last year. She is now keeping the cover secret by obscuring it with an orange padlock on her website. Wearing orange outfits Taylor started dropping hints by wearing orange on night 12 of the European leg of her Eras tour, while performing in Lyon, France, last June. In November, she released her Eras Tour Book and was wearing orange on the 12th page. Then on Monday, her official management and social media team @taylornation posted 12 images of the star wearing orange outfits from the tour, with the caption: 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era . . .'.' All I started thinking of was how do I hint at things, how far is too far in advance? Can I hint at something three years in advance? Taylor And the final image notably featured her with Sabrina, from when they performed together in New Orleans last October. Travis Kelce flirts with Taylor Swift on New Heights podcast as music megastar makes major announcement Welcoming her on stage at the time, Taylor pretended to phone the Espresso singer and said: 'Put on some clothes and come down to the stadium.' Fans are now convinced Sabrina referenced that last week when she shared a photo of herself on Instagram with some washing and the caption: 'Go put on some clothes!' In yet another Easter egg posted last October, Taylor hinted at the date she would announce the project. A snap shared online saw her standing in Miami's Hard Rock Stadium with a sign for seated section 'A12' visible — which fans believe is a reference to yesterday's date, August 12. Taylor first played a showgirl in her 2022 video for Bejeweled, which also featured burlesque performer Dita von Teese. She had previously suggested she likes to plant clues three years in advance. During a 2021 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she said: 'All I started thinking of was, how do I hint at things, how far is too far in advance? 'Can I hint at something three years in advance? Can I even plan things out that far? I think I'm going to try to do it.' The new album is set to be a major return to the pop sound of her 2014 record 1989, and 2017's Reputation, both of which were created with hit Swedish producers and songwriters Max Martin and Shellback. Max is renowned for being one of the most successful songwriters ever, having worked on hits including Baby One More Time for Britney Spears, Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl and Blinding Lights for The Weeknd, as well as Shake It Off, Blank Space and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together for Taylor. Shortly after the announcement yesterday morning, billboards in New York and Nashville took users to a Spotify playlist which featured 22 songs by Taylor, all of which have been made with Max and Shellback. However, fans are yet to be told when they will actually be able to get their hands on the new album. It is available to pre- order through her website, where it states the record will ship before October 13, but adds: 'This is not the release date, official release date to be announced.' Taylor is believed to have completed the record earlier this year, and last month The Sun revealed she had shot a music video in Los Angeles. However, she has used a series of non-disclosure agreements for everyone involved in the album in a bid to keep details under wraps. 12 The cover of The Life of a Showgirl is covered with an orange padlock on her website Credit: Reuters 12 Taylor Swift Bejewelled music video hints at the title of her new album Credit: Youtube/@taylorswift 12 Taylor's team hinted at collaboration with Sabrina by posting 12 pics of Taylor in orange including this one The record was created in secret and she has not been seen entering or leaving a recording studio since December 2023 — before The Tortured Poets Department was released. Taylor has become one of the most prolific musicians in pop since she released her self-titled debut in 2006. And music forecasters believe The Life Of A Showgirl will easily become the biggest-selling album of 2025 within its first week of release, due to the massive demand for the star. Bookmakers William Hill have already made her 1/3 odds-on favourite to be named International Artist Of The Year at next year's Brit Awards. Taylor has sold more than 300million records worldwide, racked up 13 No1s on the UK album chart — overtaking Madonna's record of 12 in February — and has had 30 Top Ten singles, including four No1s. As well as her 11 studio albums released so far, she has put out four re-recorded versions after the rights to her back catalogue were bought against her will in 2019. However, in May she announced she had bought back the rights to her first six albums, ending the long-running legal wrangle. She wrote on her website: 'All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me. I've been bursting into tears of joy . . . ever since I found out this is really happening. 'To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it. I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I've dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now. 'I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. 12 Taylor in orange lippy, in a teaser for Travis's New Heights podcast, posted at 12:12 on the 12th Credit: Instagram 12 Sabrina shared a photo of herself on Instagram with some washing and the caption: 'Go put on some clothes!' Travis, who has been with Taylor for two years, said: 'I hadn't experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions. That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. I sort of made her a football fan. She is the most engulfed fan now Travis 'She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. 'But I've seen what she goes through. I've seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, it's mind-blowing.' On how impressed he was during Taylor's record-breaking Eras Tour, he continued: 'You're doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song. That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and she's doing it three, four, five days in a row. 'She is so good at mesmerising everybody and making everybody feel like it's an intimate situation. She's beautiful. She's up there making everyone feel at ease.' And he is enjoying the perks of being the boyfriend of a superstar singer, as he added: 'I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan. And it's so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field. 'I sort of made her a football fan. She is the most engulfed fan now. 'She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short – all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.' Travis said: 'Whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people. 'When there is not a camera on us, we're just two people that are in love. It happened very organically, even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked. We fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. 'We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f*** off.' Strictly Come Dancing star in hospital after horror during rehearsals

A Strictly Come Dancing star was taken to hospital after suffering a fall during rehearsals for the upcoming series of the BBC show. Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova was rushed to hospital following a horrific tumble during training sessions. ‌ The dancer was rehearsing in north London on Tuesday afternoon when she suffered a painful injury that left her in considerable discomfort. Paramedics were summoned over concerns about her back injury. ‌ An insider revealed: "It looked pretty nasty and no-one was taking any chances. The Strictly crew rushed into action and she was stretchered out." ‌ A source close to Strictly said: "As a precaution, following a fall during rehearsals, Nadiya was taken to hospital for checks and is receiving full support from medical and welfare teams. Rehearsals continue and the Strictly team are in close contact with Nadiya.", reports the Mirror. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 12:37pm on Tuesday 12 August to reports of an incident at Regent's Park Road, NW1. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated one person before taking them to hospital". ‌ Nadiya, 35, underwent several hours of medical examinations but it's believed she has now been discharged from hospital. The incident unfolds as fresh Strictly celebrities were revealed yesterday, featuring a YouTube personality, an EastEnders star and a Love Island champion amongst the initial group of participants. Podcast presenter and YouTube personality George Clarke was confirmed as the sixth famous participant. Clarke, also known as George Clarkey, revealed: "Never thought I'd say this ... but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in ... and potentially fall over a fair bit." This follows EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal's announcement as a contestant during a live segment from Albert Square on ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB). ‌ She revealed that "being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen". The remaining celebrities confirmed for the competition include Love Island champion Dani Dyer, Gladiators favourite Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who star Alex Kingston and ex-footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. ‌ During her appearance on The One Show following her announcement, Dyer, daughter of actor Danny Dyer, expressed: "It's such a fun magical show - to be asked to do it is such an honour. I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) - it's going to be so much fun." Former Chelsea striker Hasselbaink commented: "I'm a father of only girls and Strictly is a part of our home life - I like the show. Let's have a go." Kingston, who cut short her Italian holiday to chat with presenters Alex Scott and Roman Kemp, quipped: "I was super excited but now I'm terrified." Aikines-Aryeetey, recognised as Nitro on the revamped Gladiators, took part in last year's Strictly Christmas Special and explained his Monday decision to return as "so nice I just had to do it twice". In July, the BBC revealed that two "incredible" new professional dancers, Alexis Warr from the US and Australian Julian Caillon, would be joining the show. Presenters Daly and Winkleman will be back, alongside judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas. Strictly is set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this coming September.
