Kelly Clarkson Debuts a Short Bob Haircut
In a recent social media video revealing that the singer is rejoining as a coach on The Voice alongside Adam Levine and John Legend, she also unveiled a fresh bob haircut. "Three Coaches, one incredible season. Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson go head-to-head in our Battle of Champions Spring 2026. 🏆," the Instagram caption read.
With a turn of the big red chair, gone are Kelly's waist-skimming honey blonde locks and instead, she's sporting a textured, chin-length bob haircut, styled in soft waves and a deep side parting for extra volume and lift.
For context and to really gauge how dramatic this transformation really is, here's a look at Kelly's hair before:
Aaaand after:
Shocking, much?!
Now, with that all said, we must speculate that this short hairstyle may be the result of either a wig or a very clever hair trick. After all, we've seen this be the case with many celebrity hair transformations as of late—Nicole Kidman, Rita Ora and Julia Roberts, I'm looking @ you.
Alas, friend of faux (the bob in question, that is), there's no denying that Kelly can catch my breath with just about any look. Let's give it up for a moment like this... OK, I'll stop.

Kelly Clarkson is taking a time out on her Las Vegas residency. The singer announced on social media Wednesday night, Aug. 6, that the August dates of her Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be postponed while she tends to her family. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,' she wrote. Clarkson, 43, apologized to ticketholders, adding, 'I appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.' Her remaining concerts this month were set for Aug. 8-9 and 15-16. Her next round of shows are scheduled for Nov. 7-8 and 14-15. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Clarkson and Caesars Palace for more information about the situation and ticket refunds. Kelly Clarkson setlist: All the hit songs powering her Las Vegas residency Clarkson shares daughter River Rose, 11 − who recently joined her mom onstage in Vegas − and son Remy Alexander, 9, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. The couple divorced in March 2022 after nearly seven years of marriage. This is the second postponement of Clarkson's latest Vegas residency. Her opening show July 4 was canceled hours before show time after the 'Since U Been Gone' hitmaker strained her voice during rigorous rehearsals. "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans," she said in her statement at the time. 'I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening.' Clarkson's mix of natural humor, a homey stage and a set list that showcases her powerhouse vocals on hits including 'Heartbeat Song' and 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' has captivated fans during her sold-out shows at the 4,100-capacity venue.

Kelly Clarkson says her ex-husband has been ill, postpones August concerts in Las Vegas
Kelly Clarkson shared that she is postponing the remainder of her 'Studio Session' concerts in Las Vegas for August as her family faces a difficult chapter. In an Instagram post shared Wednesday, Aug. 6, the singer said that she was postponing the August shows so that she could support her children as their father and Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock has been unwell. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,' she wrote on Instagram. Clarkson and Blackstock divorced in March 2022, two years after announcing their separation. The couple shares two children: daughter River Rose, who was born in 2014, and son Remington Alexander, born in 2016. Clarkson lives with her children in New York City, where she also hosts her daytime talk show, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.' The singer seemingly addressed her ex-husband through her music a number of times, both on her 2023 songs 'Mine' and 'Me' and her talk show when she revised the lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo's song 'abcdefu' during one of the host's 2023 performances. 'Forget you and your dad / And the fact you got half and my broken heart / Turned that (expletive) into art,' she sang at the time, which seemed to be a reference to her divorce settlement in which she had to issue a one-time payment of over $1 million to her ex-husband, along with monthly spousal support (until Jan. 31, 2024) and child support payments that amounted to over $160K. In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe in June 2023, the Grammy winner said the split, in the end, was 'freeing.' 'It's incredibly sad, and it's a dark place — fetal position on the floor crying — and there's so much loss with that, and I never experienced grief like that,' she said. 'We got to let each other go. This is not working. This is not going to pan out, and it's not working for either of us.' Clarkson made headlines earlier this year for her absences from her talk show. From late February through March, she stepped away occasionally. During that time, guest hosts including Simu Liu, Roy Wood Jr. and even TODAY's Willie Geist filled in.

Kelly Clarkson Reveals Ex-Husband Is ‘Ill,' Cancels Residency After Source Hinted at ‘Serious' Struggles
Kelly Clarkson has put her Las Vegas residency on pause as her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, battles a private illness. The mother of two — who shares daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington Alexander, 9, with Blackstock, 48 — took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 6, to announce the difficult decision. 'Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,' she wrote. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.' 'I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,' she concluded. Concerned fans flooded the comments section with words of love and support for the 'Since U Been Gone' singer, 43, and her family. One user replied, 'Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved,' and a second fan chimed in, 'We love you Kelly! Positive vibes up for you and your family.' This comes one month after Clarkson canceled the first two shows of her Studio Sessions residency in early July. 'The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,' she said in a post shared to social media. 'I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' On July 8, an insider told Page Six that, along with her concerns about damaging her vocal cords, the American Idol alum had also been facing 'serious hidden battles' that 'very few people' were 'privy' to. At the time, Clarkson's pals were worried that she was 'completely burning out and running on fumes,' between her residency, her talk show, her upcoming gig on The Voice and more, a source told Star. Country legend Dolly Parton has also been 'calling and checking' in on her and 'offering support' to the singer. 'She wants to get together and have a talk, just the two of them, without any interruptions,' a separate insider told Star. Clarkson and Blackstock said 'I Do' in 2013 and welcomed their two children together before calling it quits following seven years of marriage. The 'Because of You' artist filed for divorce in June 2020, but their messy separation wasn't finalized until March 2022. Solve the daily Crossword
