Aussie celebs parody viral Coldplay kiss-cam clip

Perth Now17 hours ago
Two Australian celebrities have hilariously parodied the viral Coldplay kiss cam moment at a Sydney comedy show on the weekend.
American comedian Nikki Glaser's Australian tour kicked off this week, with the Golden Globes host performing a show in Sydney on Saturday night – and she made sure to take a moment to pay homage to the widely-discussed scandal.
During her set the performer offered up her own version of the kiss cam that exposed Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, with Glaser's parody dubbed the Coldplay Clearly Committed Couple Kiss Cam.
'Let's see if we can have one more we can find – can we zoom in?' Glaser says at one point to the audience as the camera focused on The Project alum Wilkinson, who was being embraced by comedian Hamish Blake. 'Is that… is that Hamish and Lisa?! Ooooh, busted,' the comedian joked, while the duo covered their faces and tried to hide from the camera.
'Someone call Zoe right now, what the f***,' she followed up.
Hamish Blake is married to author Zoe Foster Blake, while Lisa Wilkinson is married to former rugby player Peter FitzSimons.
The television star took to Instagram after the event to share a video of the moment, joking in the caption that 'bloody cameras are everywhere'.
Comments flooded in, praising the duo for the reenactment.
'My girlfriend and I were in the audience and this was hilarious!' one attendee said.
'Absolute gold,' another fan commented
'A great way to open the show,' a third comment read.
The parody comes after news that the CEO at the scandal's centre, Andy Byron, has resigned from company Astronomer.
'Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding - our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,' the company said in their first statement since the scandal broke.
'Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.'

Morgan Wallen's cheeky on-stage dig after Coldplay kiss cam scandal: ‘Side chick'

Don't miss out on the headlines from Music Tours. Followed categories will be added to My News. Country star Morgan Wallen has made a cheeky reference to the recent Coldplay kiss cam scandal during his most recent show. The Last Night singer took the stage in Arizona over the weekend, where he referenced the viral footage of married Astronomer CEO Andy Byron being caught in an intimate embrace with his HR chief, Kristin Cabot. 'Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you're safe here,' Wallen, 32, told the audience, per video shared online. 'I don't condone cheating … anymore.' X Learn More SUBSCRIBER ONLY The 'affair' scandal erupted following Coldplay's concert in Boston last Wednesday, during which a kisscam scanned different couples in the audience, projecting them on the big screen. When the camera focused on the corporate suite, Byron was seen with his arms wrapped tightly around Cabot – but it was what happened next that saw the moment become global news (and spark endless memes). Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot were caught canoodling on the kisscam at a Coldplay concert in Boston. Picture: TikTok The footage went viral. Picture: TikTok The loved-up pair, noticing the camera, appeared horrified and tried to hide from view, prompting frontman Chris Martin to joke: 'Whoa, look at these two. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.' Martin joked they were having an 'affair' when they popped up on the jumbotron. Picture: TikTok Footage captured by fans in the crowd then surfaced online, with internet sleuths quickly discovering the identities of the pair – and the fact they both appear to be married to other people. Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, reportedly removed his last name from her Facebook page shortly after the scandal went public, and later deleted her account entirely. On Saturday, and following news it had launched an investigation, Astronomer announced that Byron had resigned from his position. Nick Cave donates 2000 books to UK charity shop

A UK charity shop has received a donation of around 2000 books from Nick Cave's personal collection. Fans of the Australian rock singer flocked to the Oxfam Bookshop on Hove's Blatchington Road in an attempt to score an item from the collection, which previously formed part of an art installation that toured Denmark and Canada. The Times newspaper reported the collection included titles by Salman Rushdie, Ian McEwan and a first edition copy of the novel Man in White by Johnny Cash. Other treasures reportedly found included a boarding pass for a flight to Amsterdam, an empty packet of cigarettes and an envelope with the words "Luke's tooth" written in Cave's handwriting, relating to his son Luke. Cave and his family moved to the Brighton area in the 2000s but it was marked by tragedy after the death of his son Arthur in 2015, who fell from a cliff at Ovingdean Gap. "Brighton had just become too sad … we did, however, return once we realised that, regardless of where we lived, we just took our sadness with us," the singer said in an interview. with AAP A UK charity shop has received a donation of around 2000 books from Nick Cave's personal collection. Dog the Bounty Hunter's 13-year-old stepgrandson killed by his dad in accidental shooting: report

Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. The stepson of Duane 'the Bounty Hunter' Chapman accidentally shot and killed the famed American TV personality's stepgrandson over the weekend, according to a report. The tragedy unfolded at the Naples, Florida apartment of Gregory Zecca – the son of Chapman's wife, Francie Frane – on Saturday night, TMZ reported. Zecca allegedly shot and killed his own son Anthony in what the family described in a statement to the outlet as a 'tragic accident', per the New York Post. The Collier County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Naples Daily News it was investigating a deadly shooting from Saturday night, calling it an 'isolated incident' without identifying anyone involved. 'We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,' representatives for Chapman and his family told TMZ. Anthony Zecca (middle bottom), Dog's stepgrandson, was killed in an accidental shooting. Picture: Instagram The incident occurred on Saturday night. Picture: Instagram Zecca — a member of Chapman's bounty team, according to TMZ — appears to have a passion for firearms. He took his son Anthony to a gun range in 2021 and that same year the father-son duo visited a gun store, according to photos shared on his Instagram. Chapman, 72, married Frane, Zecca's mother, in 2021 shortly after their respective, former spouses died. The Dog was previously married to Beth Chapman for 13 years until she died in June 2019 following a lengthy battle against throat cancer. In part, their families were united by their shared grief and patriotism. 'We understood the pain that the other one was feeling and [in] those tough days and moments, we helped each other stand up. We could cry with each other and talk about what we were feeling,' Frane said in a September 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight. 'We were able to walk alongside each other through the pain and heartbreak and it brought us together in this amazing way.' The tragedy unfolded at Gregory Zecca's apartment in Naples, Florida. Picture: Instagram Frane and her family, including Zecca, were quick to join in on Chapman's lifestyle. 'I know she's a hunter. Her and her two sons have hunted bow hunt, so they track, they look for things that the prey leaves behind,' Chapman said on The Dr. Oz Show in 2020. 'She just fit right in,' he added about his first bounty hunt alongside his would-be fifth wife. 'She started getting leads and writing them down, so there's more than just tracking and hunting.' Chapman also has 13 children between six different women – but he was only ever married to four of them. The Post has reached out to the Collier County Sheriff's Office for more information.
