Galaxy Z Fold7 passes gruesome durability test

GSM Arena4 days ago
The Galaxy Z Fold7 made its way to JerryRigEverything's torture chamber and it was subjected to the usual set of scratch, bend and burn tests. While foldables don't have the best track record in this discipline, the Z Fold7 surprisingly outdid expectations.
If you don't feel like watching the whole video, here's the recap: the Z Fold7 may be Samsung's thinnest and lightest Fold to date, it's exceptionally well built and passed all of the tests it was subjected to.
The Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protected cover screen scratches at the usual level 6 on Mohs scale of mineral hardness. As expected, the internal screen is still easily susceptible to damage and scratches at a mere level 2 since it is made from Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG).
The aluminum sides of the phone and its Armor FlexHinge can take a beating, and the IP48 rating proves to be effective against dust and other small rock fragments.
Galaxy Z Fold7 bend test
The highlight of the video is the bend test (8:00 mark), which yields a concerning amount of flex from the phone, but it remains fully functional despite it all. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7

Infinix teases GT 30 5G+ with customizable lighting for India

Prasad, 01 August 2025 Infinix has started teasing its next GT smartphone for India. Called the GT 30 5G+, it is set to be a step-down version of the GT 30 Pro we reviewed last month. This seems like a Flipkart-exclusive launch and a corresponding landing page has appeared on the e-commerce website. For this model, Infinix is touting the same Cyber Mecha Design 2.0 from the GT 30 Pro model. This also includes the customizable LED light strips on the back, although they only glow in white on this model. The GT 30 5G+ will also have shoulder trigger controls for a better gaming experience and a BGMI 90fps certification from KRAFTON, the makers of the game. GT 30 5G+ The GT 30 5G+, also known as the GT 30, has shown up on our radar in the past as part of a Geekbench listing. Based on that, we had surmised that the phone is running on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. The phone also had 8GB of memory. That is all we know for now but it is possible the non-Pro model has similar specs as the Pro model other than the chipset. No launch date has been confirmed so far but should likely be some time next month.
