If you engage in any of the following you will be banned: Hate speech or bullying, targeting our cast or crew, harrassing or doxxing members of the community."
In the comments, the X account clarified, "All of us talking online about The Summer I Turned Pretty are the community. ☺️."
In The Summer I Turned Pretty a young woman named Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) is in a love triangle with two brothers, Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney). The show is based on the book series written by Jenny Han.
During a July 10 chat with Teen Vogue, Tung shared, 'I think we see with a lot of these love-triangle stories, people want the leading girl to end up with someone."
The actress continued, "When people have an attachment to the characters, they want to see it come together at the end. I'm so grateful that they care so much, but people get a little scary about it."
Tung added, "Please don't threaten to kill someone if something doesn't go your way— I promise you, it's not that serious. Jenny [Han] is so smart and she cares so much about the story and making it the best story that it can be. It will be okay.'
The first two episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 drop at 3 a.m. ET on Prime Video, with a new episode added weekly until the series finale on Sept. 17.

Heidi Klum reveals the ‘sliding door moment' of her life

Heidi Klum knows that one small moment can change everything. The 52-year-old model reflected on the unexpected start to her relationship with her now-husband, Tom Kaulitz, during an interview published Monday with People, leading up to her highly anticipated return to host Project Runway. She said that while she met Kaulitz at a party seven years ago, she nearly skipped that event. 'I really wanted to stay home,' she explained. 'But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt.' She realized her decision to go to the party was 'the sliding door moment' in her life; a phrase referring to how a minor choice can drastically affect life's trajectory. Klum and Kaulitz got engaged in 2018 and married two months later. While they don't share any children together, Klum and her ex-husband Seal have three kids: Henry, 19, Johan, 18, and Lou, 15. Klum and her ex, Flavio Briatore, also had a daughter, Leni, 21, whom Seal legally adopted. The model also told People that the beginning of her relationship with Kaulitz represented a 'clean slate' for her. '[At first] I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with… like 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'' she said. 'But Tom said, 'Don't do this to me, because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.' She acknowledged how sparks have continued to fly between her and her husband, revealing one of their favorite activities to do together: Shop for lingerie. During those outings, Kaulitz sits outside while his wife is in the changing room. She then steps out and shows off her different outfits to him. 'He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up,' she said, noting that there's no jealousy between them. She also credited 'stolen weekends' together and 'handwritten notes' as the keys to her and Kaulitz's relationship. However, she acknowledged that being married hasn't changed the person she is. 'This is pretty much what you get. I'm pretty loud and you know I'm there.' Klum also addressed the ongoing online chatter about her marriage: She's 17 years older than her husband. However, she chooses not to engage with critics who make any comments about that age gap. 'When our door closes at home, I don't really care so much what happens around us,' she explained. 'I've learned things from my husband that I didn't know I was capable of doing.' She shared similar sentiments during a 2023 Instagram Live session, when one person asked her how she felt about being older than her spouse. 'I honestly only feel that way when people point it out to me,' the former America's Got Talent host replied.

Estée Laundry is back—and this time it's got a newsletter

Estée Laundry, the anonymous Instagram account and self-proclaimed beauty industry 'watchdog', is back after a two-year hiatus. Estée Laundry—the name a play on beauty giant Estée Lauder— launched in 2018 to air out 'the beauty industry's dirty laundry,' as the account's bio once read. It posted regularly, and followers, or 'Laundrites', were encouraged to weigh in on daily beauty news and controversies. That continued until some members of the anonymous collective left, and the account ultimately went quiet in 2023. This month, however, a new post appeared asking followers, 'serious question, are there still any exciting beauty brands?' In a recent interview with Business of Fashion, the beauty custodian described itself as a 'group of outsiders with ties to the beauty industry.' Those ties remain strong enough to break news: the account was the first to share an internal memo announcing layoffs at Shiseido Americas last week. Like its fashion industry counterpart Diet Prada, Estée Laundry grew its nearly 200,000-strong following by spotlighting industry-wide issues such as cultural appropriation, lack of diversity, and unsubstantiated product claims. Major brands that have found themselves in the crosshairs include millennial-favorite Glossier, Fenty Beauty, and the Kardashians, to name a few. In 2022, the account famously flagged former Estée Lauder Companies executive John Demsey's Instagram post that included a racial epithet (which he swiftly deleted). 'How's it OK for a beauty executive (responsible for the branding and direction of a company that claims to focus on diversity and inclusion) to post this?' the account questioned. The executive was forced to resign less than a week later, The New York Times reported. Now, Estée Laundry is back and shifting gears. With the relaunch, the group is intentionally moving away from its vigilante roots and instead focusing on 'longform opinion pieces' via a weekly Patreon newsletter, aptly named Laundry Service, for $8 a month. A representative told Business of Fashion, 'We think of ourselves as a beauty industry observer.'
