The former Corrie star explained the situation unfolded after she confronted the man for taking a photo of another woman on the tube without her consent.
Helen Flanagan has revealed how she's been left feeling shaken up after a man launched a foul verbal attack at her on the London Underground. The mum-of-three said the situation unfolded after she confronted the man for allegedly taking a picture of another woman on the tube without her permission.
Recalling the intense confrontation in a video posted to her social media, Helen said: 'I was on the tube and there was this man sat across from me, and there was this girl about my age sat across, and I noticed that the man took a picture of this woman on the tube.

'Anyway, I probably – it's a bit embarrassing for me to say this. And like, he just ignored her and pretended that he couldn't hear her.

'And then, eventually he was really aggressive, and like, told her to 'eff off' and 'shut the eff up', and oh my God it was awful.'
Helen said she then intervened in to defend the woman but found herself being his next target, the Standard reports.
She continued: 'So then obviously, like I'm a real like girl's girl and I just said, 'Don't effing speak to her like that. I saw you, you did take a picture of her. You're lying.'

'I should have said something but I actually felt a bit intimidated by the man, so I just thought, I felt like I couldn't say anything.

'Anyway the woman next to me was braver than me and she just said, 'Excuse me, did you take a picture of that woman? I just saw you take a picture of that woman.'
'He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him.'
The man then turned on Helen and made a cruel joke about her appearance.

She explained: 'He said to me – it was like the weirdest thing he could have said – 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead,' and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw.''
Trying to brush off the experience, Helen added: 'To be fair, I am dead soft. I don't get in arguments with people. I was only sticking up for this girl because of course, I would always stick up for other women.
'I didn't know what to say – this sounds tight – but like, he deserves it. He wasn't the most attractive of men.
'I couldn't say anything to him, so I said, 'I feel sorry for you.'
'It's not nice as a woman where you actually feel intimidated. He was just an absolute idiot.'

ITV Coronation Street star issues 'nine year' exit message as fans fume over same thing

Coronation Street star Paula Lane has taken to social media to mark nine years since her character, Kylie Platt, was killed off in dramatic scenes on the ITV soap. Former Coronation Street star Paula Lane has marked nine years since her dramatic exit from the popular soap as Kylie Platt. The actress made her debut on the cobbles back in 2010. ‌ Introduced as Becky McDonald's half-sister on the ITV soap, she initially sold her son Max to Becky before battling to regain custody. Paula took maternity leave from her role as nail technician Kylie in 2014. ‌ This followed a storyline that saw her character spiralling out of control by abusing her son's ADHD medication and seeking drugs from her ex, Callum Logan. Her husband David threw her out, caring for Max and their daughter Lily as a single dad. ‌ However, Kylie returned to the street in 2015 and soon found herself at the heart of the soap's live episode. As ITV viewers will recall, she killed her ex Callum by striking him with a wrench when she discovered him assaulting her sister-in-law Sarah. Paula bid farewell to the ITV soap as she prepared to welcome her second child. This marked a bittersweet conclusion for Kylie, as reported by the Manchester Evening News. ‌ Kylie had just revealed her family's plans to relocate to Barbados at the time of her death, to join her sister Becky, following her murder of ex Callum. However, her anticipation about the move was disrupted when she spotted close pal Gemma Winter being attacked by teenager Clayton. Kylie rushed to assist Gemma but was shockingly knifed in the chest by Clayton, who escaped the scene, leaving David to hold his dying spouse in his embrace. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, nearly a decade after the scenes were broadcast, Paula uploaded a behind-the-scenes photograph from filming her devastating departure, showing herself lying on the cobblestones, chuckling in the arms of fellow actor Jack P Shepherd, who portrays David. ‌ "9 years! My memory feed always goes crazy around this time," Paula captioned the image before mentioning Corrie and Jack, who then shared the post on his own Instagram. However, some Corrie viewers expressed disappointment that the milestone wasn't acknowledged on the show, with one fan complaining: "Why didn't David or Lily bring up the fact its also the 9th anniversary of Kylie especially whilst discussing/processing another violent attacker? #corrie @itvcorrie it is like @Corriepedia doesn't exist." ‌ Recently, Paula has been spotted featuring in Emmerdale. She became part of the cast of the ITV soap in 2024 last year as Ella Forster, who was evidently concealing something significant. It emerged that Ella possessed a troubled past at the age of 11, having caused her best pals death and was imprisoned for the offence. Following her release, Ella, previously called Ruth, spent years relocating but ultimately sought security in the Dales. ‌ She had secured employment and was developing romantic feelings for Dr Liam Cavanagh. As the reformed killer's world fell apart once more, Ella was implicated in drugging Liam's current fiancée, Chas Dingle. Despite her denials, her pleas of innocence fell on deaf ears, resulting in her leaving the village. However, Ella made a final comeback to clear her name, but nearly caused Liam's death during a heated encounter in the woods. Fortunately, Liam survived the incident and encouraged Ella to get professional assistance. Following this, Ella was arrested again, marking her departure from Emmerdale.

Liam Gallagher's secret 'health kick' drink fuelling his incredible sounding voice for Oasis tour

Oasis fans say it's the best Liam's voice has sounded since the nineties as the Gallagher brothers are currently performing across the UK on their reunion tour. Liam Gallagher has been making sure to regularly drink one liquid to keep his voice in check while performing on the Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. The 52-year-old, who used to be a heavy boozer on tour, emerged on stage during one of the band's Heaton Park gigs in Manchester at the weekend holding a glass of apple cider vinegar tea. ‌ Fans have been praising Liam's vocals since the tour kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, with some saying it is the best he's sounded since the nineties. Gallagher has previously spoken about drinking the vinegar concoction, which is mixed with honey, to help his voice, The Sun reports. ‌ He said: "I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. Apparently, it's great for everything. Mam has it for arthritis and it's really good for her. ‌ "So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. "It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem - Hashimoto's disease - so I can get a really hoarse voice. ‌ "It makes you tired and your bones are creaky, but you have this drink and it makes you a bit Jumping Jack Flash." He continued: "It's very f*****g boring, it doesn't get you pissed, but you can have other stuff as well." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
