Manny Jacinto to visit Manila for 'Freakier Friday' promo tour
The Filipino-Canadian actor is set to meet fans ahead of the nationwide release of 'Freakier Friday.' There will be an exclusive red carpet premiere at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium on August 5, where Manny will make an appearance.
Fans also have the chance to attend the premiere and watch the movie first.
Disney's "Freakier Friday," the eagerly anticipated sequel to the classic starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, is coming to Philippine cinemas on August 6.
In the film, the stars reprise their roles as Tess (Jamie) and Anna (Lindsay) Coleman. The story picks up years after the events of "Freaky Friday." Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna learn that they may switch bodies again.
Manny stars as Anna's husband.
The film also stars Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
'Freakier Friday' started production in 2024. The cast has been posting about their time on set, like with teaser photos and behind-the-scenes TikTok videos.
Nostalgic, fun trailers have been dropping in recent months. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

Speaking to GMA News Online, Sofronio shared his enthusiasm, emphasizing the significance of the opportunity. 'Masayang-masaya ako that I was chosen to sing the national anthem. Nakaka-proud sa sarili and nakaka-proud na mismong ikaw, after kang kumanta ng specific song na very patriotic, maririnig mo kung ano 'yung mga nangyayari sa Pilipinas, even not just from the, you know, the President, but you get to know more as a Filipino kung anong kailangan nating malaman,' he said. Sofronio made history as the first Asian and first Filipino to win "The Voice USA." He was part of Team Michael Bublé. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo. SONA 2025: Sherwin Gatchalian arrives at Batasan alone
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian attended President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City without Bianca Manalo this time. When GMA News Online asked Gatchalian why the Kapuso actress was absent, he simply replied "no comment." The last time Gatchalian attended SONA with Manalo was in 2024. In January, Gatchalian also refused to confirm nor deny rumors of their split, repeatedly responding "no comment" when pressed to talk about his relationship status with Manalo. In December 2023, when Manalo was dragged into a controversy with her "Magandang Dilag" co-star Rob Gomez, Manalo dismissed it as "false rumors circulating on the internet" with Gatchalian saying their relationship was "going strong."
