John Cena Gets Candid About Hair Transplant, Says "It Changed The Course Of My Life"

NDTVa day ago
John Felix Anthony Cena, popularly known as John Cena, is an American actor who shot to fame with his career in wrestling. In a recent interview with People, the professional wrestler opened up about a deeply personal transformation - one that has nothing to do with his acting or wrestling career. He shared that he got a hair transplant in 2023, which "completely changed the course" of his life.
John Cena Opens Up About Getting A Hair Transplant
If you are an avid fan of WWE, you must have noticed that John Cena always used to wear a hat. While the actor looked stylish, the real reason was his hair thinning. Many of his fans even started addressing him as "The Bald John Cena", which pushed the Heads Of State actor to talk about it.
He told the publication, "As I was trying to hide my hair loss, the audience was bringing it to light. I saw their signs that said 'The bald John Cena'," shared the 48-year-old.
Sharing his haircare routine, John Cena added, "They pushed me into going to see what my options were. I now have a routine: red-light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins, shampoo, conditioner, and I also got a hair transplant last November. I hate the fact that if there wasn't so much shame around it, I'd have gotten it done 10 years ago. I thought I was alone, but seven or eight out of 10 [men] suffer from thinning or baldness."
Explaining the process of hair transplant in simple terms, John Cena shared, "They don't do anything except move your hair, one by one, from one area to another."
The Peacemaker actor says that he feels no shame in it. "If somebody's going to sweat me for that, I don't think there's any shame in that. It completely changed the course of my life."
According to Healthline, hair loss is a common problem and affects 60 percent of men and 50 percent of women. The treatment is used to add more hair in areas where you are thinning and balding. It usually involves taking hair from thicker parts of the scalp or other parts of the body and grafting it to the affected area.

Jimmy Fallon skewers Donald Trump over India tariffs — and slips in cheeky Sydney Sweeney dig

American comedian and late-night host Jimmy Fallon has taken aim at United States President Donald Trump's latest political moves, lampooning his new tariff plans and poking fun at his recent show of support for actor Sydney Sweeney. During his monologue, Fallon zeroed in on Trump's decision to impose tariffs on a wide range of countries. "Today, President Trump's tariffs went into effect for more than 90 countries including Canada, Brazil, and India. The only places Trump didn't charge are North Korea and Epstein Island. Meanwhile 50% of the tariffs on Brazil will dramatically raise the price of bananas, mangoes and pineapples. Edible arrangements were like, 'as long as you don't raise the price of cantaloupe and long toothpicks, we're good.'" Fallon also joked about the impact on household goods. 'Even toilet paper will get more expensive. You know its bad when people come out of the bathroom like, 'Hey, where's that long CVS receipt?'' The comedian then shifted to international affairs, highlighting Trump's looming deadline for Russia to end the war in Ukraine. "Tomorrow is the deadline Trump set for Russia to end the war in Ukraine. Yeah, it's high on Trump's to-do list right under build a new ballroom and meet Sydney Sweeney." The Sweeney mention follows recent backlash involving the actor and American Eagle, with Fallon teasing Trump's enthusiasm to meet her. He also turned his attention to Russian President Vladimir Putin's intentions. "Meanwhile Vladimir Putin said that he wants to meet with Trump next week. Then, all other leaders looked at Trump like, 'oh, you're in trouble!'" Fallon's sharp one-liners once again mixed political satire with pop culture jabs, cementing his place as one of late-night television's most irreverent voices.

Weapons movie review: This Josh Brolin, Zach Cregger film starts with chills, ends with a whimper

Weapons movie review & rating: There's something so eerie about a little girl calmly narrating the events of a horrific night during which, exactly at 2.17 am, seventeen children from the same class got out of their beds, walked out into the dark streets, and vanished, that you don't want 'Weapons' to let you off the hook. Not even for a moment. Writer-director Zach Cregger, anointed the new horror-meister with the 2022 'Barbarian', returns with a small-town-mystery-disappearance which could feel like a trope– so very Stephen Kingian in its thematic concerns- which manages to stay fresh and compelling, but only up until a point. It's the kind of suburban American town where everyone seems to be connected to each other. One fine morning, teacher Justine Grady (Julia Garner) walks into her empty classroom, with the exception of a solo boy sitting in the last row, angry parents gather to sling mud. How is it, demands Archer Graff (Josh Brolin), father of the missing Mathew, that the class teacher is as equally at sea as the parents? How can Ms Grady claim that she knows nothing? What is she hiding? We do get some answers, and in the way the plot unfolds, with different characters becoming the focal points of their 'chapters', we see Cregger's skills in keeping things tight, with jump scares showing up just where they should. Justine herself is shown to have flaws. She likes her drink, and is to be seen spiking her juice as she stakes out the home of Alex (Cary Christopher), the little boy who has been left behind by his mates. All she wants is to ask some questions, she protests, when questioned by policeman Paul (Alden Ehrenreich) who has history with her. The latter too is no noble cop, coming down harder than he should have on vagrant-druggie Anthony (Austin Abrams), who in turn may have seen more than he should in the basement of a darkened home he breaks into, in search of loot he can sell for his next fix. Concerned school principal Andrew (Benedict Wong) is steered towards asking some questions of his own from the hollow-eyed Alex: did he hear any of classmates planning the dash-at-night? Could Andrew speak to Alex's parents? They are unwell, declares a visiting aunt (Amy Madigan), and she is taking care of Alex till they are better. At this point, things could have gone anywhere, but a twist takes 'Weapons' into a oh-no-we've-seen-this-before direction. What did this town and its people do to deserve such punishment? After a point, though, it all starts feeling empty: monsters without motives are no longer interesting, and the big reveal takes away the much-needed suspense. Where initially you couldn't move from the edge of your seat, the bloody fallout leaves you underwhelmed. Brock Lesnar to join Seth Rollins' faction after his shocking return to the WWE? Possibility explored

Brock Lesnar shocked the world when he returned to WWE programming at SummerSlam 2025 after nearly two years and delivered a devastating F-5 to John Cena. This came immediately after 'The Franchise Player' lost the WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes in a street fight. The former UFC star's actions laid the foundation for a feud with Cena, who has now turned face after a brief heel run. However, could the assault also have planted the seed for something bigger and more exciting? Let's analyse Brock Lesnar to join hands with Seth Rollins? Seth Rollins has been on a roll since he aligned with Paul Heyman at WrestleMania 41. He was soon joined by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. The group, dubbed 'The Vision', has emerged as a fixture in the main event scene. Moreover, it has made life difficult for the likes of CM Punk and LA Knight. The faction has also had issues with Roman Reigns, Penta, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn. Given the fact that Seth's group has ruffled several feathers so far, it's imperative for it to get back up to deal with its growing list of foes. Brock Lesnar, who is a 'Paul Heyman Guy' would make a natural ally for Seth Rollins and company. The fact that 'The Beast Incarnate' returned as a heel/villain too, suggests that this is possible. Moreover, Seth and Cena weren't exactly on the best terms, even when the latter was a heel. As such, it will make sense story-wise to have them cross paths again. This could pave the way for a massive tag match at Survivor Series, pitting The Vision and Brock Lesnar against Cena and his allies. That said, this is hypothetical as nothing has been announced officially. However, it is outside the realm of possibility. How did Seth Rollins and John Cena fare at SummerSlam 2025? SummerSlam 2025 was a memorable affair for Seth Rollins. 'The Visionary', was believed to be injured, but returned to WWE programming after CM Punk beat Gunther to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. He then revealed that he had faked his injury and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Seth went on to pin Punk and win the title. Cena, on the other hand, lost to Cody Rhodes but earned his respect. He then thanked the fans. This, however, did not last long as Lesnar returned and destroyed him.
