PLAYSTATION users have just hours left to earn free credit, as a major service is closing down.
Earlier this year, Sony announced plans to axe its loyalty scheme, PlayStation Stars, which gives users free store credit for making purchases and completing campaigns and activities.

The scheme only launched back in 2022, but it will be shut down on Wednesday, July 23, after which point, gamers will no longer be able to earn points or join campaigns.
Thankfully, the points don't expire yet, and PlayStation users have until November 2nd 2026, to redeem them, and use them on new purchases.
However, PlayStation Stars is no longer accepting new memberships, so only those who are already signed up will be able to take advantage of the final days of earning points.
Announcing the closure back in May, Sony said: "At Sony Interactive, we're always experimenting with new and exciting ways to bring our community of players together to share the joys of gaming and create lasting memories.
"That's why three years ago, we created PlayStation Stars, a loyalty program to celebrate our players. The unique program includes playing games to earn rewards – including our unique Digital Collectibles that pay homage to incredible games and our PlayStation legacy.
"The program has helped foster a deeper connection with fans around the world.
"Since launching the program, we've learned a lot from evaluating the types of activities our players respond best to, and as a company, we are always evolving with player and industry trends.
"Through this evaluation, we have decided to refocus our efforts and will be winding down the current version of PlayStation Stars.
"We will continue to evaluate our key findings from this program, and are looking into ways to build upon these learnings."
This comes as PlayStation fans are set to receive eight games worth £300 free of charge.

PlayStation Plus allows subscribers to its service the opportunity to try out exciting new games every month.
And throughout July, players have sweeping access to eight fresh releases.
These include Cyberpunk 2077 - an open-world, action-adventure role-playing game set in the dark future of Night City.
Abiotic Factor is also on the shortlist, where up to six players must join forces to survive the depths of an underground research facility.
PlayStation releases – what's the history?
Here's what you need to know... The original PlayStation launched in Europe in 1995
This was followed by the PlayStation 2 in the year 2000
The PlayStation 3 arrived over half a decade later, in 2006
Then gamers had to wait a further seven years for 2013's PS4 launch
Sony released the PS5 in November 2020
For kids, Bluey: The Videogame is a welcome addition to the line up and is based on the popular children's television series of the same name.
Other games on the July roster include management simulation game Planet Zoo, Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6 and New World: Aeternum.

Showing viewers a plate of delicious looking stuffed courgettes with vegetables, she said: "I understand I'm in a different country, but what on earth are these foods? "They look absolutely awful." Showing the camera a dish of traditional black eye beans with Swiss chards, she then said: "I couldn't think of anything worse." Simone then spotted a pizza and got excited as she thought it was margherita, but after reading that the label said Quatro Formaggi (four cheese) she decided to give it a miss. The holidaymaker then decided to put some plain bread on her plate, along with a portion of chips. "If these had herbs on, I wouldn't have got them", she admitted. "I just don't like the taste of seasoning." She then placed some ribs on her plate, and a small bit of pork from a stir fry, making sure to avoid the veg as she "hates spring onions". However, she said that the pork was "horrible" anyway, as it had seasoning on it. 10 Expert Tips for Managing Picky Eaters Simone then moved on to dessert, but unfortunately said that she also found her chocolate mousse "disgusting". Her video, posted under the username (@s33immm) has quickly gone viral, racking up 772,000 views on the video sharing platform. TikTok users raced to the video's comments section to share their thoughts, with many unimpressed by Simone's attitude to the cuisine. One person said: "Picky is fine, but insulting other countries' foods is not OK." A second person said: "Fellow lowkey picky eater here but there's a difference between you and me. "I don't go around being disrespectful about food." A third person said: "I'm a very picky eater but this seems disrespectful." A fourth added: "Picky is one thing but just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's disgusting."

My boyfriend makes spicy content with his own brother – people are so judgmental, but he makes loads of cash
Ryan has insisted that the content he makes with his brother isn't 'weird' FAMILY MATTERS My boyfriend makes spicy content with his own brother – people are so judgmental, but he makes loads of cash Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WOMAN has revealed that her boyfriend makes explicit content with his own brother. Gigi and Ryan are both adult content creators, and met last year at an awards ceremony. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Ryan and Gigi are both adult content creators Credit: Love Don't Judge 2 Ryan makes gay content with his brother Andy Credit: Love Don't Judge Ryan said that he had previously struggled to date girls in the past, as although they were fine with him making adult content, they couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that it was gay content. When the couple met, Gigi already knew that Ryan made content with this brother, and says it doesn't bother her. Ryan's brother Andy first decided to get into adult content 15 years ago, when he was living in a hostel in London, and struggling to make ends meet. He got offered £600 to make a solo video for an adult website, and said it "changed my life." After seeing the success his brother was having with content creation, Ryan asked Andy to help him out and the brothers now make spicy content together three or four times a week. Andy first told Ryan not to join the industry, as he didn't think he would be able to cope with the online trolls, but Ryan was adamant that he was going to do it with or without Andy's help. Ryan assured that although he films content with his brother its not "weird", as if they are filming a group scene, they are at opposite ends, and never touch each other. He added that one of them is usually behind the camera, to avoid physical contact. "I would say it does feel weird watching my brother sleep with other people, but at the end of the day, it's just work", Ryan told Love Don't Judge. However, he admitted that things did get out of hand once during a group scene, when Andy "sprayed his blast out everywhere." Mexico's sexiest fan and weather girl poses in bra and dressing gown as she celebrates four years on OnlyFans Ryan, who is known for dressing up as a builder in explicit videos, said that family were at first judgmental, but now that they've seen how well he's doing, they support his career choice. However, he added that he has lost a lot of friends who have spread vicious rumours about his job. Gigi added that all of her friends know that Ryan makes gay content with his brother, and none have batted an eyelid. "I've never really thought too much about them making content together", she said. What is OnlyFans? OnlyFans is a subscription content service based in London. As of 2023, it is thought to have more than 220million registered users and over three million content creators. Sex workers charge monthly fees for access to pictures, videos and more. While popular for porn, the site isn't exclusively designed with that in mind - anyone who wants to build up a fan base and charge them for it can set one up. Celebs like Katie Price and Kerry Katona are popular personalities on the platform. "Whether you're uploading tutorials, tips, behind-the-scenes footage or just endless selfies, a lot of your followers would be willing to pay for them," the company states. For every subscription that's sold to a viewer, performers get 80 per cent of the cash while OnlyFans gets the rest. It isn't limited to adult content, as it has become popular with physical fitness experts and musicians. "If they were doing it in their spare time I would think it was a bit odd, but they don't". However, the adult content maker did admit that she herself would never make content with her brother. Ryan revealed that he gets a lot of hate comments from people, many of whom criticise him for "pretending" to be gay. However, he thinks it's all worth it, as he makes £15,000 a month.
