THE Coronation Street cast are locked in yet another backstage crisis as morale on the soap continues to plunge into further depths.
This week, it was revealed that many of the show's cast members were left fuming with the blatant favouritism of some show stars when it comes to accepting paid partnerships on social media - something usually outlawed by soap execs.

Glamorous Samia Longchambon and Sair Khan were cleared to take lucrative brand deals — while others were blocked, it has been claimed from one soap actress who spoke out to The Sun
Samia, 42, featured in a reel for Marks & Spencer alongside her Dancing on Ice husband Sylvain Longchambon, whilst Sair plugged a posh, £2,500 Italian oven from Bertazzoni.
An insider said Samia and Sair's ad deals have angered colleagues, struggling under the soap's budget cuts, who claim to have had similar work offers blocked.
One actress, who says she has had two deals knocked back this year, told The Sun: 'It's one rule for the polished PR favourites, and another for the rest of us."
This rule has long caused chaos behind the scenes of the soap with many actresses opting to quit the show in order to rake in more than their yearly salary through endorsement deals.
Let's take a look at the Weatherfield ladies who managed to cash-in after walking away from the programme for good.

When Brooke left her role on Coronation Street in 2019, she wasted no time in securing a slew of big-money deals.
The former soap star earned a pretty penny when she struck a deal with fashion retailer In The Style for her very own maternity range of clothes.
As part of the partnership, Brooke's pregnancy was plastered all over In The Style's marketing endeavours as well as the star doing regular plugs for the range as well as other items sold by the brand.
In The Style was famed for its celebrity partnerships and was known for its six and seven-figure deals with stars such as Stacey Solomon, Jacqueline Jossa, Charlotte Crosby and Dani Dyer.

To this day, Brooke commands a slew of four ann five-figure payouts for her work with brands such as Home Bargains, CurrentBody LED facemasks and a local aesthetics procedure clinic.

Rosie Webster actress Helen Flanagan has never been short of offers when it comes to a slew of commercial work online.
The star, who boasts over 1 million followers, can rake in £20,000 per sponsored post.
It means with just five Instagram ads a year, Helen could outearn her Coronation Street wage easily.
The star has plugged everything from fashion lines to underwear sets to make-up brands to at-home fertility products.
She often works with brands such as Ann Summers, Primark and Revamp Professional.
Following her appearance on I'm A Celeb All Stars, it was estimated that Helen could earn £500,000 in endorsements alone within two weeks of the show airing.
Will Hobson, PR Director at Rise at Seven said: " I'm a Celeb is a show known for boosting a celebrities profile, it's a mainstream show that pulls in millions of viewers every night.
"After the series, the most popular celebrities such as Helen Flanagan can be set to earn anywhere between £250-500K extra. This can come from social media deals & endorsements."
Lucy Fallon

Although Lucy eventually made a comeback to Corrie as Bethany Platt, she originally walked away from the show in order to cash-in with lucrative online deals.
Lucy was understood to be bagging close to £100,000 a year during her first stint after becoming an award-winner and a popular star backstage.
But she is thought to have made her lost salary back thanks to just ten minutes of work a week.
When she first left, she commanded around £2,000-a-post for sharing goods with her then-495,000 followers, say insiders.
Her posts include ones on behalf of a bedding firm, a hairdresser and fashion company InTheStyle.

When Katie left the soap as Sinead Tinker back in 2019, she became one of the first soap stars to make the most of no longer being tied down to Corrie's strict rules.
Commercial opportunities on Instagram were at their peak in 2019 and Katie easily began charging top dollar to plug all sorts to her 300,000 fans.
Within days of leaving the soap, Katie was hosting adverts for a vegan lip gloss brand.
A showbiz insider said at the time: "Coming off the biggest soap in the country with huge social followings they are a dream to companies wanting to reach viewers without spending major amounts on advertising.
"Stars can command hundreds of pounds for a quick Instagram story if they're smart.
"They could make thousands a month just from some bigger posts."
Kym Marsh

Former Michelle Connor actress Kym Marsh has also managed to rake in the dough since quitting her role.
Kym has become synonymous with Kym meanwhile with sharing posts about furniture brands and gas companies on her own social media.
This year, Kym has also been earning money from the Government after they began paying her to promote the Department of Health and Social Care's No Smoking campaign.
Kym disclosed she has received a fee to plug NHS Quit Smoking App and even recorded an advertisement for TV.
She has even plugged Parka coats and eyelashes in the process.

When Ellie quit her role as Faye Windass, she immediately took up a spot on Strictly Come Dancing.
Whilst the show isn't known for it's big pay-day, Ellie's winning ways saw her in high demand with PR experts estimating that she could rake in a huge £500,000 following the show thanks to carefully organised brand deals.
Brand expert Nick Ede previously told The Sun: 'Ellie has a very strong social media following and with her fabulous figure and movie star looks, fashion and beauty brands will be snapping her up for campaigns.
'I can see her earning over half a million in a year with brand deals, personal appearances and presenting and TV roles.'

Prince Harry and Meghan's single word that left late Queen fearing 'disaster'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle never intended to leave royal life altogether, but one word in their sensational statement lead to an ultimatum from the Palace, according to insiders Prince Harry and Meghan Markle completely quitting their royal roles came down to the use of a single word, according to an insider. Now five years on from them sensationally stepping back as full-time working royals, the Sussexes appear to have left their former lives well and truly behind them. The pair have both been focusing on their commercial endeavours with Meghan sharing more and more of her life behind the scenes on Instagram, including a recent video of her twerking alongside Harry as they awaited the birth of their daughter Princess Lilibet. However, when they first announced their intention for change more than five years ago, it seemed that they did not want to quit royal life completely, instead saying that they intended to "carve out a progressive new role within this institution". But it appears a throwaway, single word in that very statement paved the way for an ultimatum that there would be no half-in, half-out arrangement for them. In the statement announcing their stepping back, the Sussexes said at the time: "We will continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties." And according to the Daily Mail, the word 'collaborate' is what raised eyebrows, with a source telling the publication: "No-one 'collaborates' with the Queen. This is not one of those 'Kate Moss Top Shop tie-ups'." And with the Sussexes, most notably Meghan, forging a very different path compared to the one she had in the Royal Family, the insider added: "This is exactly why Queen Elizabeth knew this whole half-in, half-out version of royalty they were lobbying for was never, ever going to work. "Harry and Meghan were a law unto themselves from the start, pushing and pushing the envelope to their own professional and financial advantage. Her Late Majesty was nobody's fool and knew that the chances were, it would all end in disaster." In the dancing clip from last week, a heavily pregnant Meghan twerks to the Starrkeisha song Baby Momma, lifting her skirt above her knees, raising her hands in the air and wiggling low with her hands on her hips and legs. Meghan shared the clip on Lilibet's fourth birthday, saying: "Four years ago today, this also happened. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" And for royal expert Jennie Bond, she believes it is an "astonishing video on any level" and reveals what the King would have thought of it. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: "The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple. "And women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome. "However - to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest— but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it? "If the King has watched it, which I doubt, though he can't have missed the headlines I'm sure he would be horrified. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity." But she added: "Having said all that, there's no doubt that videos like this connect in a very real way to young people. And perhaps that's what Meghan is trying to do. "My own daughter thought the video humanised both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labour and she thought it was rather charming."

Inside collapsing funeral home with 'human remains and Polaroids of corpses'
An urban explorer ventured into an abandoned funeral home that had begun to collapse - what they found inside was truly shocking, and definitely not for the faint-hearted A funeral home owner who 'vanished' one day and never came back left his business totally abandoned - until now. When urban explorer Ben James, 29, stumbled across the collapsing and crumbling building in Illinois, US, he hadn't even realised it was there. Instead, he had been on the hunt for a completely different abandoned space. "I found the funeral home while looking for an abandoned cemetery," he explained, adding: "The place looks to [have been] abandoned for many years. "I spoke to a local who said the owner vanished one day and never returned, so it closed and fell into disrepair." What Ben claims to have found inside would have sent chills up anyone's spine. Amongst embalming fluids, death certificates, and 'do not resuscitate' labels, there beneath the dust and building rubble, he claims to have come across what appeared to be decomposing human remains. The remains date all the way back to 2005, he claims, so they have been there undisturbed for twenty years. "It was amazing to see all that was left, death certificates, embalming fluid, and prep tools," the urban explorer - who boasts 215,000 followers on Instagram, @places_forgotten, and a further 1.2 million on TikTok, said. "But the most shocking discovery was human remains and Polaroids of corpses being embalmed. It was a very creepy place. Locals all say it is haunted and they wish it would get demolished, but then the spirits will have nowhere to go." Urban explorers who bravely venture into abandoned and forgotten spaces captivate a lot of attention, particularly on social media. Some of Ben's followers were eager to see the inside of the ghostly funeral parlor, that had so long sat totally abandoned, with bodies allegedly inside that had never been laid to rest. "For us, who live in a country, where events like this could never happen, this is incredibly fascinating!" Wrote one commenter. "That's so sad," wrote one user, "Are those people's ashes just left on the counter?" Another said: "The Polaroids!". A crumbling cinema that was also discovered by urban explorers also recently generated a lot of interest, with the inside of the place seemingly frozen in time. Ben's fascination with forgotten spaces has seen him travel all over the world, and he has ventured into disused airports, schools, hospitals, and even a city that had been totally abandoned. "Something a little different from my usual," he captioned the post about the city, "This abandoned city has been left since 1950. It is off limits to people and is patrolled by armed guards, but sometimes, you have to just ignore that and climb the fence that's covered in razor wire".
