Meet Chantal Fury, Tommy Fury's Mum

Graziadailya day ago
Molly-Mae Hague may be the main lady in Tommy Fury's life, but one woman who's been by his side from the start is his mother Chantal. She made a rare public appearance to support her son, alongside her husband John and Tommy's brother Roman, at the Manchester premiere of his new BBC reality series.
Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury gives an insight into his life behind the stardom, including his well-publicised battle with alcohol, fatherhood to daughter Bambi and his career as a professional boxer.
Here's everything we know about Chantal…

Chantal is the mother of Tommy Fury, and the second wife of Tommy's father John, an ex-professional boxer.
She is from Mauritian descent.
Chantal, who married John in 1989, is mum to sons Tommy, 26, and Roman, 28.
They do. Chantal is Tommy's mum while John's first wife, Amber, is the mother of professional boxer Tyson, the former world heavyweight champion, John Jr, Shane and Hugh.

While Tommy's father John and brother Tyson relish being in the limelight, Chantal prefers to keep a low profile, away from the cameras. She appeared on the fifth series of Love Island in 2019, when she and John surprised Tommy at the villa in Spain. 'This woman has not been on a plane in 16 years!' he exclaimed when he saw her. As his romance with Molly-Mae blossomed, she told him, 'I'm so proud of you.'
Tommy is close to his mother, crediting his success to Chantal. 'I owe everything to my mother. I wouldn't be sat here right now if it wasn't for her,' he said on Loose Women. 'She never went out on the town, she qualified in her degree, there was always a meal on the table. She didn't have money to put fuel in the car, but she would still take me to the gym.'
On Mother's Day, he shared a rarely-seen snap of his beloved mum at what appeared to be a celebratory dinner. 'Love you Mum. Without you, there is no me,' he wrote alongside the picture.
Tommy's fiancée Molly-Mae is also close to Chantal. She shared a photo of her mother-in-law cradling her daughter Bambi in her arms in May 2023, captioned, 'Grandma's birthday'.

BBC Antiques Road Trip expert halts show as deal spirals into chaos

Antiques Road Trip expert Phillip Serrell stumbled all over the shop while trying to secure a deal. Antiques Road Trip expert Phillip Serrell was forced to halt the show when things spiralled into chaos during an episode. The antiques lover was hunting in an antiques shop for the perfect item to take to the final auction, when he spotted an old cigarette advertisement positioned high on the wall. ‌ But, as he called seller Dave over to enquire about the price, the dealer wasn't watching where he was heading, which proved to be a costly error in the packed antiques shop. ‌ Phil stumbled over an item, leaving Dave utterly stunned. Deciding to use the moment to his advantage, he declared: "Oh, I can feel a claim coming on!" ‌ He then called out: "My back, my back!" whilst jokingly attempting to negotiate the price down further. The expert eventually agreed on £55 for the weathered sign, quipping: "It should have a health warning but lets hope it doesn't have a wealth warning." It wasn't the only mishap for him in Dave's establishment, as he struggled to manoeuvre his way around the jam-packed store, reported the Express. ‌ He toppled several items as he explored every corner and crevice of the shop. But the awkwardness proved worthwhile as the sign achieved an impressive £10 profit when it went to auction. ‌ The cheeky BBC expert sparked excitement among fans recently with a new show proposal. The antique expert, alongside co-star Natasha Raskin-Sharp, has been touring the UK in search of hidden treasures, this time focusing their efforts on Sheffield. Before they began their hunt back in February, Philip made an intriguing suggestion: "I think we need to have the Phil and Tash show." ‌ A surprised Natasha responded: "Do you reckon?", she asked: "Are you pitching right now?" Philip confirmed his idea, stating: "Phil and Tash on the road, you heard it here first. " Fans were thrilled by the prospect, with one saying: "Really enjoyed the first week of new series, just to say' Phil and Tash on the road ' is something I would watch happily!" ‌ Another chimed in: "The best two ever on the #antiquesroadtrip". In other Antiques Road Show news, a previous guest sadly died, a few years after they had received a life-changing valuation on the series. Back in 2005, a guest on the American version of the show had their life changed when their item was revealed to be of huge value. ‌ Antiques expert David Rago met an astonished visitor called Tom, who had brought along an 1880 jug passed down through generations. Tom explained: 'This piece belonged to my grandmother, and when she sold her house, the grandkids and the kids could choose different things. This is the piece that I always wanted, so my name was on this one for a long time.' ‌ David proceeded to assess the massive jug at an incredible $65,000 (£48,264) to $85,000 (£63,115) before disclosing what the antique actually fetched at auction. But four years after the life-altering valuation, Tom sadly passed at age 46. Antiques Road Trip is available on watch on BBC iPlayer. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Myleene Klass had huge ‘slanging match' backstage at daytime TV show – and had to be ‘split up' from row

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MYLEENE Klass once had a row with a co-worker backstage that was so severe they had to be pulled apart. The 47-year-old star shot to fame in the early 2000s as part of Hear'Say, and since then has become an acclaimed musician, TV presenter and radio host. In fact, at one point Kym and Myleene were locked in a bitter feud as tensions rose and the band began to splinter. Kym, who went on to star in Coronation Street, later wrote about the difficult years in her book, From The Heart. In one section, she detailed how an appearance on Jerry Springer's chat show got particularly nasty. "Me and Myleene had a slanging match, but someone split us up as we were due to go on air," she wrote. "Going on to perform our single was horrible. At one point, me and Myleene had to put our arms around one another. It was so fake and I hated every minute of it." "We had been overheard arguing by staff at the studios and the following day our row was all over the newspapers," she added. "We managed to put it behind us but the niggles remained." "I wish we'd been able to explain honestly how we were feeling, but the problems festered," added Kym. Eventually it got so bad it led to Kym quitting the band in 2001 – foregoing telling the band with the news coming out via newspaper. Myleene Klass takes a sly swipe at ex Graham Quinn live on Loose Women - after claims he 'cheated with a celeb' Kym and Myleene didn't talk after that for eight years, but a tragedy eventually brought them back together. In 2009, Kym gave birth to baby Archie 21 weeks prematurely, and he sadly died shortly after. Myleene, who by that time was a mum herself, held out an olive branch to support her former friend. "We were both in tears on the phone and, in the days after Archie's death, we talked more and more," Kym explained. "Myleene really was there for me. She helped me choose the music for Archie's funeral and sent the most beautiful bouquet of flowers to the crematorium." Adding they had "grown up" since their years in the band, Kym noted: "Life is too short to hold grudges and what happened back then isn't anyone's fault. I am determined not to let anything, or anyone come between us again." 6 Kym says the pair have 'grown up a lot' since their backstage row Credit: Getty 6 Hear'Say split in 2001 after Kym left the band Credit: Getty
