The logline reads: ''Weapons' is a horror film that follows an entire classroom of children who get out of their beds and disappear one night without a trace. When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.'
Julia Garner stars as the teacher whose entire class, except for one student, goes missing in the dead of night. Josh Brolin plays one of the many parents disturbed by the disappearances, now determined to find his child at any cost. Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan also star.
Cregger directs from his own screenplay, and also produces alongside Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules, with Michelle Morrissey and actor Brolin executive producing. New Line Cinema chief Richard Brenner previously described the film as being 'batshit insane.' Cregger agreed, telling Entertainment Weekly that 'Weapons' is 'weirder, twistier, and bigger' than his directorial debut, 'Barbarian.' ('Weapons' is said to exist within the same universe as 'Barbarian,' which became an indie hit in theaters in September 2022.)
Cregger told Entertainment Weekly that 'Weapons' is 'an incredibly personal story' as well, saying, 'There's certain chapters of this that are legitimately autobiographical that I feel like I lived.'
The 'Weapons' creative team behind the camera includes director of photography Larkin Seiple, production designer Tom Hammock, editor Joe Murphy, and costume designer Trish Summerville. Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay, and Cregger compose the original score.
The film is a New Line Cinema, Subconscious, Vertigo Entertainment, and BoulderLight Pictures production, with Warner Bros. Pictures distributing. 'Weapons' will also get an IMAX nationwide release.
Cregger will next reimagine 'Resident Evil' with his first IP film project.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release 'Weapons' in theaters August 8. Check out the latest trailer below.

Pamela Anderson reacts to Sylvester Stallone denying he once offered her a Porsche and condo to date him
A representative for Stallone previously denied Anderson's claim, calling it "false and fabricated." Pamela Anderson is doubling down on her documentary claim that Sylvester Stallone once offered her a Porsche and a condo in exchange for being his "No. 1 girl." During her visit toWatch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Naked Gun actress, 58, was asked to share her thoughts on Stallone, 79, denying that he'd ever made such an offer to her following the release of her 2023 documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. 'Well, how could you make that up?' Anderson replied. 'You know? I mean, that was pretty specific.' Host Andy Cohen followed up by asking if there was another car that could've potentially swayed her decision. 'Maybe like a Shelby Cobra or something?' she teased, before adding, 'No, no, no, no, no.' Entertainment Weekly A representative for Stallone not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment. Anderson said in Pamela, a Love Story that Stallone once offered her the luxury incentives to become his 'No. 1 girl." 'I remember talking to Sylvester Stallone one time and he offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his No. 1 girl,' she recalled. 'And I was like, 'Does that mean there's No. 2? Uh-uh.' He goes, 'That's the best offer you're gonna get, honey. You're in Hollywood now.'' She continued, 'I wanted to really be in love. I didn't want anything less than that.' Stallone's rep later denied that the actor ever made such an offer in a statement to PEOPLE. "The statement from Pamela Anderson attributed to my client is false and fabricated,' the rep said at the time. 'Mr. Stallone confirms that he never made any portion of that statement." Stallone and Anderson have both found love since the alleged offer. The Rocky actor has been married to model Jennifer Flavin since 1997, while Anderson recently sparked romance rumors with her Naked Gun costar, Liam Neeson. "It's a budding romance in the early stages," a source close to their new film told PEOPLE, adding, "It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other." Cohen also brought up the pair's relationship during their visit to Watch What Happens Live. 'The question that I'm not asking the two of you tonight is what's going on between the two of you,' he said as Anderson laughed. 'But I do want to say, as a very old friend of yours [Liam], all of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say. Just wanna say that!' Soulja Boy Arrested on Weapons Charge During Traffic Stop in Los Angeles
Soulja Boy was arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was a passenger in a car that was pulled over near the intersection of Melrose Ave. and Genesee Ave. in the Fairfax neighborhood of Los Angeles around 2:50 a.m., according Entertainment Weekly. Police officers allegedly recovered a firearm after searching the vehicle. Way was subsequently arrested on a felony charge and booked into jail at the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Division. His Survivors Want to Shut Them Down 'A passenger was detained and police arrested DeAndre Cortez Way for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm,' the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement. Earlier that night, Way celebrated his 35th birthday at the Poppy nightclub in Hollywood. He shared videos of the event on his Instagram Stories, including a clip of himself on the dance floor captioned 'I don't need no security.' The rapper had premiered new music that afternoon during a Twitch stream. In April, a California jury found Way liable for claims he assaulted, sexually battered and harassed a Jane Doe plaintiff while she worked as his personal assistant, lived with him and entered into a sometimes-consensual intimate relationship with him in 2019 and 2020. The woman reported her alleged abuse to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office in December 2020. In April 2021, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office 'declined to file charges due to insufficient evidence to prove the alleged crimes true beyond a reasonable doubt,' an agency spokesperson previously told Rolling Stone. During the trial, Way denied he abused the woman in any way, claiming they 'bonded' during their time together and always acted voluntarily. Way has also been accused of physical and sexual assault by former girlfriends Kayla Myers and model Nia Riley, the daughter of musician Teddy Riley. Way appeared on the reality shows Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and Marriage Bootcamp with Riley. In 2021, Riley sat down with YouTube vlogger TashaK and said Way threatened her with a gun and kicked her in the stomach while she was pregnant, causing her to suffer a miscarriage. Myers claimed in a prior lawsuit that she had a romantic relationship with Way that ended when he allegedly held a gun to her head, threatened her life, and assaulted her at his home on Feb. 1, 2019. A civil court jury found Way liable for the assault and kidnapping of Myers at a prior trial. Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson's Full Relationship Timeline
We've been blessed with three truly unexpected couples so far this summer: Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise, and Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson. These two are too cute for words (talking about Pam and Liam, obviously), and their relationship has blossomed in the sweetest way over these past few weeks. But things actually started back in Spring 2024, so clearly we need a timeline for everyone obsessed and nosy! It all kicks off when filming begins on The Naked Gun and Pamela and Liam meet for the first time! Liam—fresh off filming—tells People, "With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film." Pamela chats to Entertainment Weekly and reveals that she and Liam bonded over their love for literature and laughing, saying "We had many dinners out with the cast. I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed 'professionally romantic' during filming." Pamela is in the thick of press for The Naked Gun, and tells Entertainment Tonight "I think I have a friend forever in Liam. And we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he's a good guy." Things escalate. By which I mean Pamela kisses Liam on the red carpet. Obviously, everyone starts wondering whether they're dating, or merely leaning into the press cycle for their film. Either way, they're so cute I can't stand it. Liam and Pam tease audiences by pretending to make out on The Today Show: Co-host Craig Melvin asks the pair "What's the deal here? You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry. Are you two an item?" And Pam jokes "I don't understand the question." Liam then cryptically says "I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely budding chemistry as two actors. It was like 'Ooo, this is nice, let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe.' And that's what we did." Meanwhile, source tells People that Liam and Pamela are "enjoying each other's company," and that "it's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other." An insider also chats to Us Weekly, saying "Pamela and Liam are dating" and that they "always had chemistry while they were filming and their friendship naturally developed into more." They add that becoming a couple is "new," that they're "learning how to navigate it together," and are "both shy and have tried to stay private but the spark between them is obvious." Meanwhile, ANOTHER source tells the Daily Mail, "Pam is very drawn to Liam because he is totally open to her way of thinking and living, and especially her approach to fame, which is impressive. She has been telling friends he is smitten and does a lot of sweet things for her, like sending her flowers, and spending time with her sons and dogs. Pam cooks and gardens at home... it's wholesome and appealing and very un-Hollywood and Liam loves that. He actually gets involved." Not one to be excluded, a source tells Page Six, "Getting close to him has been on her mind since she was cast. He's f–king Liam Neeson. She has always found him attractive and interesting. What is happening? Even they may not know. They are figuring things out along the way. It's fun to watch. Pamela is a romantic." Meanwhile, Pamela and Liam hold hands during a radio interview: Liam says the highlight of his career is working with Pam in what might be the sweetest interview I've ever seen. Amid RUDE speculation that this could all be a PR stunt, another source tells Page Six that "It's very sincere how they feel. That is the truth. They're not going to show up on the red carpet and be adorable just to be fake, that's not either of them." The insider added, "This is happening in real time, here and now, so I don't know what things look like moving forward. They make for a beautiful couple…Liam is a gentleman, he's warm and present, he's a very lovely man." That's all for now, but we'll be keeping this updated!
