Gen V Season 2 Trailer Out: More Gore And Bloodshed Awaits In The Boys Spinoff
Prime Video series Gen V is returning with a power-packed second season. The trailer of the upcoming segment was unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 25. Gen V, a spin-off to the acclaimed black comedy superhero show The Boys, impressed viewers with its raw portrayal of bloodshed, gore and high-octane action when it premiered in 2023. Now, Gen V season 2 promises to arrive on the OTT platform with the same intensity. Notably, new cast members will also be joining the previous ones. Gen V season 2 will be released on September 17.

Gen V season 2 welcomes Wicked movie star Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the superhero school Godolkin University. Some of The Boys cast members who are joining the second installment are Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Chace Crawford as the Deep and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir. Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh and Hamish Linklater are also a part of the series. There is also a brief glimpse of Chance Perdomo's character Andre, who died last year.

Gen V season 2's trailer opens to Starlight rescuing Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) from an eerie hospital facility where she was imprisoned in the season 1 finale. Soon, the scene shifts to the present time, featuring Godolkin University. As per the season 2 description, 'School is back in session. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander's iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new dean (Hamish Linklater) preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever."
Celebrated heroes Sam Riordan and Cate Dunlap return to the University while Marie, Jordan Li (London Thor) and Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway) come back reluctantly after enduring months of trauma and personal loss. But with a war looming between humans and supes, the gang can barely care about their classes or attend parties. Elsewhere in the trailer, the group 'learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realise." Adding to the trouble, it is later revealed that 'somehow, Marie is a part of it."
Gen V season 2 is produced collaboratively by Sony Pictures TV and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey and Original Film.
