South Korean actor Song Young-kyu, known for his role in the 2019 blockbuster comedy Extreme Job, was found dead on Monday morning, as reported by The Korea Times. According to police officials, his body was discovered around 8 a.m. inside a parked vehicle located in a residential neighborhood in Yongin, a city situated just below Seoul. The individual who found him was reportedly an acquaintance.Law enforcement authorities confirmed that there were no indications of foul play at the scene, and no farewell note or message was found either.Song, who was born in 1970, began his acting journey in 1994 with a performance in a musical production aimed at young audiences. Over the years, he built a solid presence across stage, television, and film. He garnered significant attention for his supporting role in Extreme Job, a movie that went on to become a box office sensation. His diverse portfolio included appearances in critically acclaimed television series such as Narco-Saints and Big Bet, both released in 2022 on Netflix and Disney+, respectively. Additionally, Song portrayed the character of Queen Jiso's brother in the historical K-drama Hwarang, which featured BTS member Kim Taehyung.In June of this year, Song became embroiled in public controversy after being apprehended for driving under the influence in Yongin. The incident was not revealed to the public until a month later. Following the backlash, Song voluntarily withdrew from his role in the stage production Shakespeare in Love. Further fallout included production teams of the shows The Defects and The Winning Try choosing to minimize his screen time in their broadcasts.At the time of his death, he was still actively involved in both ENA's The Defects and SBS TV's Try, which are currently airing.Song Young-kyu is survived by his wife and their two daughters.

I thought that the Korean organising team has called for a behind-the-scenes team," he added. He remained blissfully unaware until later. 'I was totally unaware of the fact that they are famous people. Later, when I told people that for 35 minutes I was in the same room as them, they fainted." BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band made up of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Known for their chart-topping hits, high-energy performances, and massive global fanbase (called ARMY), they became one of the most influential music acts in the world. After taking a break for mandatory military service, all seven members have now completed their enlistment and returned to the spotlight with solo music, live shows, and fan interactions.
