Dua Lipa Surprises Fans by Bringing Out Charli XCX at Sold Out Show

Yahoo4 hours ago

Dua Lipa surprised fans in London on Saturday night by bringing out another British superstar, Charli XCX.
Lipa was in the midst of her second of two sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on Saturday, June 21, when she decided to give fans a taste of Brat summer with fellow pop diva Charli XCX. As the stage changed to the colors of Brat green, Lipa announced to fans that she would like to 'bring a friend out," according to fan footage of the concert.
'Let me tell you, she is the biggest brat I have ever known,' Lipa joked.
Charli then took the stage as her hit song '360' began playing. Both Lipa and Charli performed the song, belting out the lyrics together to screaming fans. Charli was wearing a cropped white baby t-shirt that tied in the middle, along with green snakeskin short shorts. She paired the outfit with black lace-up boots and sunglasses.
Lipa was wearing a white lace bodysuit that covered her entire body with a white fur stole that draped over her shoulder.
The two bounced around the stage singing, having the best time. Charli's appearance comes after Lipa surprised fans on night one with the 90s-2000s band Jamiroquai.
Dua Lipa's three-night stint at Wembley Stadium marked a major milestone for her, as she filled the massive stadium in her hometown for the first time in her career.
'These were the most special, unforgettable shows I've ever done,' Lipa wrote in a caption on Instagram. 'I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. For this journey. For every single person who's stood by me, believed in me, sung with me, danced with me, and shared in this dream.'
The singer got a very special confidence boost ahead of her concerts by the Spice Girls. Lipa shared a photo in an Instagram carousel of the sweet note she received from the iconic pop duo.
'Dear Dua, we just wanted to wish you lots of luck with your sold out shows at Wembley Stadium … that's Girl Power!! We love you! The Spice Girls xxxxx.'

Neil Young blocks the BBC from livestreaming his Glastonbury set

Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts will headline Glastonbury this coming Saturday, but breaking from tradition, the performance will not broadcast on the BBC. Back in January, after Young was among the first artists named for the 2025 Glastonbury, the rocker announced he was pulling out of his headlining gig due to the festival's partnership with the BBC. 'We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot for things we were not interested in. It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being,' Young said at the time. 'We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be.' However, days later, Young rejoined the festival, writing that he left 'due to an error in the information received' and that 'happily, the festival is back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing!' Six months later, it appears Young's issues were with the BBC and not Glastonbury: When the broadcaster revealed its festival schedule earlier this week, Young was noticeably absent, as per his wishes. 'At the artist's request, we won't be live streaming Neil Young's set,' a BBC spokesperson said in a statement to the Telegraph. 'Our plans, including those for our TV highlights shows and on-demand coverage, continue to be finalized right up to and during the festival.' Viewers will instead be shown Charli XCX's Glastonbury set while Young is headlining the Pyramid Stage. Young last performed at Glastonbury on June 26, 2009, with the BBC only airing portions of his set. 'The BBC has spent the last couple of months talking to Neil's management about how much of his set we might be able to show on TV, radio and online over Glastonbury weekend,' they wrote in a statement to fans wondering why the whole thing wasn't shown. 'Neil Young's career has been conducted on his own terms. Last night Neil's management agreed to let TV and radio broadcast five songs as they watched and listened to his performance. They believe in the live event and retaining its mystery and that of their artist.'

Everyone Is Tweeting About What Dejon From "Love Island" UK Did In The Sleepover Episode – Let's See How You Feel About It

If you've been keeping up with Love Island UK, you'll know that this season is extra juicy because of one person on the show – Dejon. Twitter: @_annatx In one of the most recent episodes, four of the islanders were given the opportunity to have a "sleepover" with four new bombshells, giving them all a chance to have a night alone with their new prospects. One of the islanders picked for the sleepover was Dejon, who spent time with Bombshell Caprice. Despite initially being coupled up with Meg, he had a rather flirtatious night with Caprice. At one point, he even hand-fed her grapes. Despite all the flirting, Dejon didn't share a bed with Caprice – shocking considering the rest of the bombshells and islanders who attended the sleepover did. Twitter: @AllThingsLIUK Of course, people on X were quick to share their thoughts, with some people thinking Dejon purposely held back from sleeping in the same bed with Caprice because he's paranoid that it'll somehow get back to the others in the main villa. Twitter: @kay2busy13_ Others were "proud" of him for not sharing a bed. Twitter: @hol__trems On the other hand, there were a few who called Dejon out, calling his bed move "vindictively strategic." Twitter: @arin_olaa And last but not least, some just thought it would've been better if someone else had been at the sleepover instead of Dejon. Twitter: @shuhnay_ What do you think? Let me know in the comments. And remember, you can watch all of Love Island UK on Hulu now!
