Beyond the Gates Renewed for Season 2 at CBS
Beyond the Gates will lather up for a second season at CBS.
The good news comes 11 weeks after the launch of the first new daytime drama in 25 years, and just hours after CBS touted that its daytime slate — led by The Price Is Right, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful — has reigned at No. 1 for a whopping 39 consecutive seasons.

Since its Feb. 24 debut, Beyond the Gates has improved its time period by 48% in broadcast viewership, while its multiplatform viewership is up 67% in multiplatform.
Additionally, its broadcast audience draws 7% more Women 25-54 than ABC's long-running General Hospital.
Beyond the Gates is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States. 'At the center of this community are the Duprees, a powerful and prestigious multi-generational family that is the very definition of Black royalty,' says the official synopsis. 'But behind these pristine walls and lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered. And those who live outside these gates are watching closely.'
Tamara Tunie (As the World Turns, Law & Order: SVU) stars as Anita Dupree, the family matriarch who worked hard for her success while raising two daughters with her now-retired senator husband Vernon (Madam Secretary's Clifton Davis). Karla Mosley's Dani Dupree is one of Anita's daughters, while Daphnee Duplaix (One Life to Live) plays the other, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson.
Beyond the Gates airs on CBS weekdays at 2 pm ET/1 pm PT, while streaming of the series is available on Paramount+ and CBS TVE (CBS.com/CBS app).

Big Brother Season 27: Premiere date, new twists and everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 8, 2025, 19:00 IST Last updated June 8, 2025, 16:30 IST Big Brother Season 27 is set to return in summer 2025, promising fans another thrilling chapter of the iconic reality show. Known for its intense competitions, strategic gameplay, and unexpected twists, Big Brother continues to captivate audiences after 25 years on CBS. Here's everything we know so far about Big Brother Season 27. Big Brother Season 27 Premiere Date Big Brother Season 27 will premiere on Thursday, July 10, 2025, with a 90-minute episode airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The season kicks off with a second 90-minute episode on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the same time. Following the premiere week, the show will settle into its traditional schedule of three weekly episodes on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. New Addition: Big Brother: Unlocked A major highlight for Season 27 is the introduction of a new companion show, Big Brother: Unlocked, airing every other Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, starting July 25, 2025, and continuing on August 8, August 22, September 5, September 19, and September 26. This biweekly show will feature three Big Brother All-Stars offering insider perspectives, analyzing gameplay, and sharing never-before-seen footage, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes access. While the specific All-Stars hosting the show haven't been announced, past seasons featured winners like Cody Calafiore, Taylor Hale, and Jag Bains, hinting at possible returnees. This new format adds up to four and a half hours of weekly Big Brother content, making Season 27 the 'biggest season ever,' as marketed by CBS. Cast and Houseguests CBS has confirmed that Big Brother Season 27 will feature an all-new group of houseguests, ruling out a returnee or All-Stars season, despite speculation following the show's 25th anniversary. The cast is expected to follow the recent trend of 16 contestants, though the official lineup typically isn't revealed until days before the premiere. Casting is already underway, with applications open since before the Big Brother 26 finale, as confirmed by casting director Jesse Tannenbaum. Gameplay and Twists While specific twists for Season 27 remain under wraps, producers have hinted at retaining elements from Big Brother 26's popular AI Arena twist, which introduced a three-nominee system and a live competition for safety. Executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan teased that the 'essence' of this twist is likely to return, adding unpredictability to evictions. The core gameplay will stay true to Big Brother's format: houseguests compete in Head of Household (HoH) and Power of Veto (PoV) competitions, strategize in alliances, and face weekly evictions, all vying for the $750,000 grand prize. The season is expected to last between 80 to 90 days, aligning with recent seasons, though Big Brother 25's record-breaking 100-day run raised the bar for extended gameplay. How to Watch Big Brother Season 27 Fans can watch Big Brother Season 27 live on CBS or stream episodes on Paramount+ with Showtime, which also offers 24/7 live feeds for real-time house action. Pluto TV will provide additional live feed access, though Paramount+ Essential subscribers can only watch episodes the day after they air. The live feeds, a fan-favorite feature, may lack the flashback feature again this season, based on cost-cutting measures seen in Big Brother 26. Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . Netflix New Releases: The Best Shows & Movies to Watch in June
Netflix is sharing a never-before-seen glimpse at its June 2025 streaming slate, and it's even better than expected. The list is full of great picks, from date night classics like Pride & Prejudice (last call!) to TV shows for teens and kids. There's also plenty of great family-friendly movies like The Legend of Zorro, Dune (1984), Now You See Me and The Theory of Everything. However, the real showstoppers are all the new original titles. While there are multiple debuts—like Mercy for None—there are also several shows that are returning for new seasons, like Squid Game, Ginny & Georgia and America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Keep reading for my top picks from Netflix's new releases, followed by a complete list of TV shows and movies that are coming to the streaming service beginning in June. Premiere date: June 27 Ever since it burst onto the scene in 2021, Squid Game has captivated viewers with its brutal, fictional game show that pits desperate contestants against each other in a fight to the death. Season 2 left several characters hanging off cliffs—Gi-hun's friend is dead, Jun-ho survives his brother's assassination attempt. Season 3 promises to be even more violent than the second as Gi-hun attempts to end the games once and for all in Squid Game's final season. Learn more Premiere date: June 5 Often compared to the masterpiece that is Gilmore Girls, Ginny & Georgia has delighted viewers for the past two seasons following the antics of a mother-daughter duo attempting to settle into New England life. Season 3 drops on June 5, and starts with a literal bang—Ginny is arrested for murder at her own wedding. Learn more Premiere date: June 6 PureWow Associate Editor of News & Entertainment, Nakeisha Campbell, tells me she has her eyes on this Italian thriller, saying, "I'm personally looking forward to that one because I'm a sucker for suspenseful crime dramas." The series follows Sara, a retired secret agent, who reenters the field after her son's murder. As she hunts for clues, Sara soon finds herself entangled in a web of sinister crimes. Learn more Premiere date: June 18 When the first season aired last year, America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders was mired in controversy. But it's back for season two, following a new crop of hopeful would-be cheerleaders as they compete for coveted spots on one of the most famous squads in the country.
